Mission Payouts

Hello. Hope you all are having a good day.

So I'm pretty sure we all know how missions work now; the longer it takes you to complete, the more money and RP you receive at the end of said mission. Plus you can change the difficulty and amount of players in a mission to increase the payout. Which isn't too bad. Now I say "isn't too bad" because all the missions tend to pay out the exact same. You can spend 15 minutes doing a mission like Trash Talk (unlocked at Rank 81) and someone who does Death Metal (unlocked at Rank 5, I think) for 15 minutes gets the same payout as you. Rank really doesn't factor into payouts anymore. I honestly think higher ranked missions should pay out a little more than lower ranked missions. What do you think? (Can't add a poll, I'm on mobile.)

I use the buzzard for most missions so the current payout is fine with me.

I do holed up now and then by myself shoot out the tires of the guy escaping and it takes longer for him to get there scored 15g's instead of the normal 10.

Kills time waiting for members so I reccomend finding one you like and doing it to kill time or when you want to just chat (Party chat) but not really play much lol

...and? Speeding through missions as fast as possible with an armed air vehicle makes money faster than by not using it?

R Logic bro.

Between the payouts and no need to unlock certain weapons bascially it has come down to rank just showing how much time we have wasted playing this game lol

I don't speed thru them. I use the buzzard to save money.

It's totally stupid, defeats the purpose of the level unlock system. We used to laugh at Gerald missions (except No Hay Bronco) now they pay as well as Martins.

I'm no longer interested in $ or RP so I play what I like mostly with a Buzzard, but it really screwed up the game

Higher rank missions do payout more, just not 10k more. like 2 or 3k more.

Seems fine to me, low level missions can be just as difficult as the high rank missions. Trash talk is super easy, out of harmony certainly isn't. They are 30 rank differences.

Buzzard is good as it saves a fortune on ammo, I bought mine in the billionaire days on ps3 then transferred to ps4 so it basically cost me nothing because I bought it with gifted money.

Doing missions solo should payout more as it's more work doing them on your own but I'm quite happy with the current payout system but it will no doubt be changed again for better or worse remains to be seen, time will tell.

There's almost no point in doing missions anymore, as they're all so unbalanced in terms of pay and difficulty. I don't know what was going through Rockstar's mind when they made they made that call. The only mission I do nowadays is Trash Talk, with my Buzzard.

err, no, not really. If I don't use a buzzard I still get the $17.500. Just pay more for ammo.

Yep a Buzzard is pretty good for a lot of missions - Boat in the Bay, Hit 'Em Up, Cleaning the Cat House, Time to Get Away, On The List, Mixed Up With Coke especially. Cops Capacity is almost impossible without it. Makes getting into Fort Zancudo easier for Cargobob missions.

@nomad if you spend less than GTA$200 (Pegasus delivery fee) on ammo then your profit on the mission will be greater than that of someone who uses a Buzzard.

It has paid for itself. And it nearly guarantees success in any mission. Even solo.

Yeah, But it's complicated isn't it. All right for players who got a Buzzard with the billions. But if you decide to save to buy one for missions, the savings from owning one only come a long, long time down the road. If two players have $0 today and decide to get to, I don't know, $5 million before the next update doing the same number of missions. Hundreds. One buys a Buzzard at $1.75m and one not, who gets to $5 million first? I think the one who did not.

btw I do have a Buzzard which I saved for to buy. lol.

Rooftop rumble pays great $$ if you do in the correct way.

People always chase the document car down and get the doc as fast as possible.

If you actually follow the car to it's destination, you can kill everyone there, and collect a lot more $$ and RP.

Plus you dont have to worry about blowing up the car because the driver get's out of it. Just stab him with a knife.

If you were good in missions you wouldn't need a Buzzard and wouldn't need to pay a steep price for one.

OK, that's the dumbest comment today!!!

and it's not a steep price given that you will have millions soon after buying it

And if you don't buy it you'll keep the millions and get more if you keep doing missions.

the buzzard is also fun besides being practical so either way its worth the money :p

that being said, if you do many missions something like a buzzard pays itself back if youre a hardcore player i think :)

From the GTA V Mission Wiki (to my recollection these are relatively accurate figures applied to completing the Missions Solo and in the maximum time period):

"There is a maximum payment possible depending on the rank and difficulty of the mission. Maximum payouts (on Hard difficulty) start at $18,300 for a rank 5 mission and are increased by $60 per rank up to a maximum at Rank 81 of $22,860".

Factoring in the Maximum 30% Player Bonus: $23,790 at Rank 5 to $29,484 at Rank 81 (Trash Talk).

At most a $5500 difference depending on Rank which further eliminates any real bonuses for being Higher Ranked...R* clearly do not intend to cater to Higher Ranks anytime soon.

It's called an investment. In the real world, you spend money to make money.

The same applies to GTA Online.

Yes the Buzzard is a big investment, which'll set you back quite a bit if you don't have glitched money but the Buzzard is no different than spending money on guns in the store or upgrading your car to better compete in races. It's a GUNSHIP, that guarantees a consistent mission fee of only $200 since you won't be firing off a single round on the ground.

Completing missions on the ground can set you back easily $500-$1000, possibly more, depending on the weapon you use and the mission you play. When I use a Buzzard in a mission, I know that at the end I'll only need to subtract a measly $200 from the payout. Ultimately, Buzzard users wind up saving everyone money as well.

The Buzzard is the ultimate, cost-effective weapon to add to your arsenal.

*edit*

Think about it this way: A Buzzard costs less than the paper armor you buy for every mission.

In a just world, missions should provide bonuses based on performance. I mean, why have missions where you have to retrieve 2+ of an item or a vehicle if the mission succeeds if only one is delivered? Why does Simeon pay you the same if you deliver a car to him without a scratch when you can wreck the damn thing and turn it into scrap metal on wheels and get the same result? Doing the mission well should be more important than overall speed.
