The long delays between concept's updates are because I want this to be remembered. I want it to be a high quality concept and so I don't update it when I don't have anything smart to post. So, be patient and let me assure you that nice stuff is on the way. Right now I have the third and fourth missions ready but I'll not publish them before I complete "NonStop Pop" radio station and post the LS '94 Places map. You'll get these all in probably a week or two from now.

The Map of Places is finally here! It's the first version and contains Cashy's Grandma House, Andre's House, Police Stations and Sanders' Traphouse.

Ghetto Green's third mission, which is called "On Tha Way", will be here real soon. "Non-Stop Pop" radio station's playlist will be published alongside that mission.

Mission 03

On Tha Way

While Andre's in the house, he recieves a phone call from Cashy.

Phone Call:

Andre: Aye, Whassup?

Cashy: I'mma do some crazy sh*t around here, nigga, you know me.

Andre: Uh-huh. Yea, man. When I hear you talkin' bout 'Crazy sh*t' I just know that someone's ass is gonna get hurt so f*cking bad.

Cashy: You got my point! I'mma blow Sanders outta my way.

Andre: How the f*ck you wanna do that?

Cashy: Come to my f*cking place. I'll tell you.

Objective 1: Get out the house and go to Cashy's Grandma House.

.

Cashy hugs Andre and they start talking while they get out of the house.

Andre: So what you gon' do?

Cashy: I'mma do somethin' that f*cks Sanders' drug business up. He'd be very afraid, man!

Andre: What then?

Cashy: I wanna burn his whole f*ckin' traphouse.

Andre: C'mon Man! That's a whole lot of sh*t we'd make money from!

Cashy: His coke is trash, man. No one's gon' buy it from us. If we sell his sh*t, then he'd get away with the sh*t, you know. He'd say "Yea, those hood muhf*cka's had a traphouse out there and I got 'em". But this way, man, his business gets f*cked up.

Andre: Then how the f*ck we gon' get money?

Cashy: "When Cashy's on tha way, tha Cash is on tha way!" You should write this sh*t down somewhere in ya notebooks, nigga! When he's f*cked up, we'll replace his business around here, man. We got our homies and tha support.

Andre: You wanna sell sh*t in ya own hood?

Cashy: For now, I just wanna blow him outta my way. So just get in the car and take me there.

Andre: No prob, then, man. But how you wanna burn it then?

Now, Cashy walks to back of the car and opens the trunk. There are two jerry cans there.

Then Cashy starts talking again.

Cashy: The rest is done with a lighter, man! (He passes Andre a lighter).

Andre: So let's go!

Objectives:

2. Get in the car.

3. Drive to Sanders' Traphouse.

4. Get out of the car.

Cashy gets out of the car with Andre, then opens the truck and passes one of the cans to Andre.

Cashy: Go to the back of the place. I get the front door done.

Andre: I'm on it.

Objective 5: Pour gasoline on the back door of traphouse and around in order to make a gas trail.

Cashy starts running back.

Cashy: Light it up, man!

Objectives:

6. Use the lighter to light the trails up.

7. Run back to the car and get in it.

8. Drive back to Grove St. quick.

On the way back to LS, you see several fire trucks driving to LS County. A conversation starts between Cashy and Andre due to this.

Cashy: How quick are them muhf*ckas!

Andre: I don't give a f*ck, man. It's already too late now!

Last Objective: Stop in front of Cashy's grandma house.

They both get out of the car.

Cashy: That was it, man! I just wanna see Kevin's face after this sh*t! He be sayin' (pulls his face down) "Oh! Rude Boy! Hood Boy! You're bastards!" Hahaha!

Andre: Oh, that was just like him!

Cashy: Cuz I've dealt with him a lot! See you soon, nigga!

Andre: Yeah! (Shakes hands with him).

Reward: 500$

Mission 04

Bent and Twisted

This mission starts at 3PM when you're walking in the hood and get near some of Families' members. Then, one of them starts talking to you.

That Boy: Aye, Whassup 'Dre?
Andre: Nothing Special. What 'bout you, James?
James: Cashy said he wanna meet you.
Andre: Damn, why'd he send you to tell me 'bout it? He used to call me.
James: Cuz he wants to talk to you outta hood.
Andre: Where?
James: Somewhere in Downtown.
Andre: sh*t. That must be important.
James: Yea.
Andre: (Shakes hands with James) See you nigga.
James: That's it.

Objectives:
1. Get to Downtown.
2. Go to Pizza This.
3. Walk to Cashy's table.

Cashy: Uh, Ya came boy?
Andre: Why you actin' like it's a date?!
Cashy: Man, I didn't want to talk 'bout business in the hood. It's OUR business, and none of any other niggas' business.
Andre: So what you wanna say?
Cashy: See, we both know that Kevin is behind the drug game in south.
Andre: Man, we can't be sure. We ain't in the game, yet. Just cuz you been sellin' dope at a corner doesn't mean you know bout errthang.
Cashy: I know, man, I know. Are you dumb enough to think that gang wars are cuz of territory sh*t?
Andre: What you wanna say? Say it before I get bored!
Cashy: When you got a bigger territory, you got more people to sell sh*t to. That's why everybody got rich in '92. Grove had the biggest territory. Errthang was under control.
Andre: Hmm... Now I know what you gon' say. You've had a dream of gettin' paid and you wanna tell me bout it.
Cashy: No dreams, nigga. I just got a plan. Eat yo f*ckin' food and I'll tell you bout.
Andre: (Takes a slice) Start.
Cashy: See, I've found a nice female officer.
Andre: (With full mouth) Uh... Now that's Romeo and Juliet (laughs).
Cashy: f*ck you man! Listen up till I'm done, then we can joke bout it. This ain't no joke.
Andre: I'm listenin' (Takes another slice).
Cashy: She's hella twisted. She can give us what we want about Kevin.
Andre: I always knew you a smart nigga! That's the Cashy that hood wants!
Cashy: See, Kevin may be Ball-Sacks' partner in some sh*t.
Andre: Hmm... and then?
Cashy: We should throw both of 'em outta game. Niggas in the hood are thirsty for a Ballless nigga's blood. We should do it.
Andre: Another war? Man I lost errthang in '92. Then I was a poor kid with nothing. Now I'm making it over again, so lemme have my ordinary hood life with no extra sh*t.
Cashy: Hood ain't ordinary, nigga! Seems like you've forgot ya dreams! You'd be the best Westside rapper. Just try fo' the money! You'd have respect in hood then niggas'll call you a real nigga! Do it man! Chase yo f*ckin' dream!
Andre: Pffff... So what you wanna do now?
Cashy: We should talk to that bitch.
Andre: How? In which f*ckin' way can we meet a LSPD bitch?
Cashy: Right now it's 6. She'd get out the f*ckin' station. We'll get her.
Andre: f*ck you nigga! You wanna kidnap an officer?
Cashy: It's just like the way they arrest us! You should've met James today. He's with us.
Andre: Oh... Now that's somethin'... I just hope we'll not get in trouble. Let's get out this f*ckin' place.
Cashy: sh*t, I should pay fo' that.
Andre: Do it then. (Walks out Pizza This).
Cashy: Damn.

When they both get out of Pizza This, Cashy points out to his car.
Cashy: You drive, like always.
Andre: That's alright!

Objectives:
4. Get in the car.
5. Drive to The Hood.

James comes near the car.
James: Aye, what's the plan, man?
Cashy: It's plan A!
James: Hmmm... Time fo' some juicy azz!
Cashy: Yea, that's it!
Andre: I thought it was a kidnap, now it sounds like a rape!
Cashy: (Laughs) Uh... Nah, man! She's gon' use her eyes and ears, not that... (James continues)
James: Juicy Azz!
All three of them laugh.
Cashy: Now, see, we should be at Del Perro around 8, 9, you know. She's easy to find.
James: (Loads up his pistol) Yea, let's go.

Objective 6: Drive to Del Perro.

After waiting there for a while, suddenly Cashy says "Damn the bitch is there!".
Andre: So what am I gon' do?
James: Just do what I say.
Andre: Oh, you talkin' like you the boss.
James: f*ck that, man. Just go and talk to her like you wanna take her home and I'll do the rest.
Andre: (Smiles) Uh huh! That's it!

Objectives:
7. Get out the car.
8. Walk to Her.
9. Start talking.

Andre: See what I caught here!
Woman: Get out of my way, boy.
James: (Hugs her from behind) What about me?
Now you can hear Cashy's car horn.
Cashy: (Shouts) Quick!

Objective 10: Take her and throw her into the car. James helps you with this.

When you throw her in the car, she doesn't do anything to get out and doesn't try to escape at all. She just sits properly and starts staring at James.
James: Why the f*ck this bitch is lookin' at me?!
Woman: Learn to talk nice, especially to a woman, and especially if she's an officer.
James: Haha! (Laughs) Nice lesson, officer!
Cashy: Mothaf*cka'! Take a look back! sh*t!
A LSPD car is coming from behind. While you're looking at your back, she pulls her gun out and puts it on James' head. Then James punches her head and takes the gun.
James: Lock the doors homie.
James puts his hand on her mouth and then puts the gun on her head.
James: I'm ready to die, bitch.
Cashy: Let's go 'Dre.
Andre: Yea.

Objectives:
11. Lock the doors.


While you're on the way, some conversations occur.
Woman: What do you want from me?
Cashy: Don't worry, it ain't much.
Andre: Now where we goin'?
Cashy: Drive to Jamie's house.
Andre: Okay.
Woman: See, all I got is information. I really can't do much at Police Department. I'm a newbie.
Cashy: That's what I want.

Objective 12: Drive to James' House.

Woman: I can end your life with a single call. You'd better get to know who you messing with. If you want information, you can give me a bribe, and, I'll do my best.
James: And ya better know who you f*ckin' with!
James and Cashy get out of the car and lead her inside.

Objective 13: Get out of The Car and walk into James' House.

Cashy and James leave her on a chair in living room.
Cashy: Aye, 'Dre! Me and Jamie wanna talk. Take care of that bitch. (Turns his face to the Woman) Don't try to get out, ya understood?
Andre: That's aight, man, don't worry.
When they walk into the kitchen, she stands up and starts rubbing Andre's belly. Then Andre puts his hands on her face.
Woman: (Whispers) Shhh... Don't say a single word. They may hear.
Then Andre slowly closes his eyes and she runs out.
Andre: (Shouts) f*ck!

Objectives:
14. Run to The Street.
15. Follow Her.
16. Jump on Her.

Woman: (Laughs) Fool!
Andre: You thought you can fool me muhf*cka'?

Objective 17: Pull your gun out.

Andre aims her head and then talks.
Andre: Now shut up and walk with me like we're friends, understood?
She doesn't answer, but stands up and takes his hand.

Objective 18: Walk back to James' House.

Cashy: (Staring at Andre and the Woman) Uh look there, Jamie! They made a couple in 5 minutes. I didn't expect you to f*ck with an officer, nigga!
Andre: Maaaan, stop talkin' sh*t. She wanted to get out.
Cashy: And she almost did it, didn't she?
Cashy comes and takes her back to that chair.
Cashy: Now, listen up, Miss Valeria Minoza. Tomorrow when you go to the f*ckin' station, you watch every move Sanders makes.
Valeria: Who's Sanders?
Cashy: (Takes his pistol out of his pocket and aims at her head) This helps you remember him, huh?
Valeria: Kevin?
James: f*ck yea! Kevin Sanders!
Valeria: What of it then?
Cashy: He's a drug dealer.
Valeria: Really?
Cashy: You know it, so don't play. Tell us what the f*ck he's doin', and you'll get a nice cut.
Valeria: If you wanted to give me a bribe, what was all this kidnapping game for?!
Cashy: Do what I said, and don't talk too much, Valeria.
Valeria: Is it finished now?
Cashy: Yea. Get the f*ck out.
She walks out the door.
Cashy: (Turns to Andre) You was f*ckin' errthang up, man! C'mon!
James: That was really funny man!
Cashy: Can you follow her to see where she goes?
Andre: Hmm... Aight.

Last Objective: Go out and walk after her. Take care of the distance.

She waves at a cab for Del Perro.

Reward: 300$

I've had some catching up to do, but it was worth it. This mission reminds me a ton of the Gracie kidnapping in IV. However, I'm a bit surprised that they didn't toss her in the trunk when they got her. It seems like they would've done that. Keep up the good work.

Pretty cool thread man, not crazy about it being set in the 90s I gotta say but that doesn't really matter.

I was thinking about the radi, because the game is all about the street life, I think it'd make sense to have at least two rap stations, maybe one for G Funk and more commercial rap, then another for underground and gangsta rap, maybe a third one for 80s rap.

Some good songs for the underground one could be:

Spice 1 - Born II Die

C Bo - Straight Killer

Lady of Rage - Afro Puffs

Brotha Lynch Hung - Rest in Piss

 

I'd also say try to avoid any East Coast rap, just to set the scene a bit better.

Mission 05
Trap

This mission starts a day or two after when you complete the "Bent and Twisted" mission.
While you're in Andre's own house, you recieve a call from James. Here's the transcript:

Andre: Aye, what's goin' on homie?
James: The bitch has reported, for her first time.
Andre: You talkin' 'bout Valeria?
James: Right. She has called Cashy and reported Kevin's next move.
Andre: You know, I... I just don't give a f*ck about it cuz I know she ain't tellin' the truth with no money.
James: C'mon, she's gon' get paid fo' that.
Andre: Gon' get paid... That's funny. I thought you're smarter that that. She's an OFFICER!
James: So, you're tellin' me to put you outta plans?
Andre: Nah, but...
James: Tonight we'll go and cop the dope before its real owner does.
Andre: 'Kay... So, what we gon' do now?
James: Come to Cashy's house at 'bout 5 or 6.
Andre: I'm on it.

Objective 1: Go to Cashy's Grandma House.

The house seems empty.
Andre: Aye, where you at? Caaashyyy... Hey...
Cashy comes down the stairs running.
Cashy: Whassup homie?
They shake hands.
Andre: Jamie told me that mothaf*cka' has told you something.
Cashy: Yea, that's right.
Andre: That is right, but she may be not. She may be tellin' f*ckin' lies.
Cashy: Then we'd leave the f*ckin' place with nothin', and never get in touch with her again.
Andre: Cashy! C'mon! You're a dope seller! You's a mothaf*ckin' smart nigga! You shouldn't be such a fool, man!
Cashy: I'm not a fool. That's just easier than what you think.
Andre: It ain't. But f*ck it. For all the support and cash and goddamn things I've got from, I'm on yo' side this time. But if we go there and come back with nothin', then...
Cashy: Then what?
Andre: Then I'll get out this sh*t.
Cashy: C'mon man. We'd beat the sh*t outta her if she ain't tellin' us the truth.
Andre: What's yo' plan, then?
Cashy: The deal is somewhere 'round Tongva Valley.
Andre: Somewhere round it? Don't say that she hasn't even given the address!
Cashy: She has. I know where it is. We gotta get there at night.
Andre: Is Jamie comin'?
Cashy: Yea, don't worry 'bout it. We'll pick him up, but before that, we gotta get strap'd.
Andre: That's fo' sure, man.
Cashy: Come with me.

Objective 2: Follow Cashy.

Cashy goes to his room, and so does Andre.
Cashy: Shhh... Just keep quiet, man. Granny's asleep.
Andre: When're you gon' get you a house?
Cashy: Soon. Just lemme make some money. I wanna get outta hood.
Andre: There's lots of time to talk, man. What we doin' now?
While Andre's talking, Cashy puts a big bag on the table.
Cashy: Now, pick sumthin' up.
Andre: Nice...

Objective 3: Pick one of the Weapons up. Your choices are: Pistol .44 and Pistol .50

Andre: Nice one. And... Now what?
Cashy: Jamie's got some homies gathered. Let's go.

Objectives:
4. Get out of The House.
5. Get in The Car.
6. Drive to James' house.

James is standing there with five other Families members.
James: Yeeea... What up bro?
Cashy: Errthang's ow-kay.
Andre: We've got ONE car, man, and we're 8. So how we gon go?
One of Families' Members: Me and Jamie come with you, others come with Louis.
Louis: Yea, I'm on it.
Andre: So let's go.

Objectives:
7. Drive to The Trucks' Hideout.

Cashy: Don't get out until they join us.
Andre: Aight.
The Families' Members' car arrives.
Andre: They're here.
Cashy: Okay, errbody load yo' f*ckin' gun up and get out.

Objective 8: Get out of The Car.

Louis: Where are the trucks you talked 'bout?
James: 'Round here. Cashy knows it betta'.
Cashy: Follow me.

Objective 9: Follow Cashy.

Cashy: Uh, dis a f*ckin' garage. Ayo, Jamie, can yo' break this door.
James: Lemme take a look. [Looks at the door from different aspects] Hey, 'Dre. Come here.
Andre [walks to him]: Fo' what?
James: Isn't it an automatic door?
Andre: Yea, that's right. Lemme open that.

Objective 10: Shoot The Doorlock.

The door starts rolling up. There are two trucks there. Cashy walks into the garage but suddenly you hear the horn of one of the trucks. Everybody runs back. Meanwhile two guys in purple clothes run out from back of the truck.
Cashy: f*ck!
All Families' members start running to the cars.

Objective 11: Get in The Car.

Louis: I'll drive 'Dre! Sit Back!
Cashy: Quick quick quick!

Last Objective: While Louis drives back to The Hood, shoot at Ballas Cars that are coming from behind.

When you all get out of the car, finally, in Grove St., Cashy starts talking.
Cashy: That mothaf*cka' trapped us.
Andre: I HAD TOLD YOU!
James: Man, we'd better be together. Now we know we shouldn't trust Valeria, and also we know that Kevin's got a deal with Ballsacks.
Andre: Motherf*ck the information, man! We gotta DO something.
Louis: He's damn right.
Cashy: See, man, I've got a connect. We can meet him and start the distriution again. Trust me.
Andre: I do! I mothaf*ckin' do! I trust you but YOU SHOULDN'T TRUST A COP, or even worse, a bitch.

 

Reward: Since now, the Pistol you had chosen at start of the mission, is available in your house.

Mission 06

Let's Get Paid

 

 

This mission starts in Cashy's Grandma House.

Cashy: Yo, what's goin' on?
Andre: f*ck that! Everything is just f*cked up and you still talk like nothing's wrong.
Cashy: What's f*cked up? C'mon! We just missed two trucks of crack that wasn't even ours, and we know that Ballsacks have somethin' to do with that Valeria bitch, so what?
Andre: f*ck it. Now what up witchu?
Cashy: I wanna introduce you to somebody, you know, let you have a real job.
Andre: What do you mean?
Cashy: Have I ever talked to you 'bout Simon?
Andre: Who?
Cashy: He's my dope supply.
Andre: I'LL NEVA' BE A DEALER!
Cashy: I know, he just needs a new driver. The last one has left the country.
Andre: What'ya expect me to do? Become his driver and then say "Farewell my beloved Town!"? Huh?
Cashy: Nah, that was a special case. Don't complain, man. Why you so scared? Come with me.
Andre: Okay, go and talk up to him. I've got real sh*t to do, sumthin' reala' than yours. At least I don't believe in every single bitch in the town.
Cashy: f*ck you nigga... [Pulls Andre's hand] C'mon.
Andre: I guess I'mma get pranked once again.

Objective 1 - Cashy walks into The Wardrobe. You take control of Andre and follow him. Meanwhile, they keep talking together.

Cashy: What tha f*ck you talkin' 'bout, man? I neva' eva' pranked on you and sh*t, so stop that bullsh*t man.
Andre: See, Cashy. I told you a f*ckin' hundred times that I wanna get out this damn hood by any means. I'd get out or die! Either way it's all good with me.
Cashy: [stops Andre from walking by putting his hand on his shoulder] Then stop actin' like a pussy! Trust me, man, trust me. I told you, I got a plan!
Andre: Then what the f*ck are you gon' do right now? Are you gonna keep on sellin' his sh*t?
Cashy: I'd do everything that pays me. I made around a million from that, so why not?
Andre: Yea, but you gave almost all of it to Kevin!
Cashy: I had to. I've just started, man, trust me.
Andre: It seems like it's the only thing you know.
Cashy: Sometimes I really wanna say "Shut up 'Dre".
Andre: Haha... Seems like I got real friends...
Cashy: You DO! Let's go man.

Objective 2 - Get in The Car and wait for him to get in. Start Driving.

Conversations in Car:
Cashy: He'll make us rich, I really believe in him.
Andre: I hope so, man. Let's see. Where should we go now?
Cashy: His mansion is in Richman.
Andre: Don't we look too hood fo' goin' to Richman?
Cashy: At least we ain't fake.

Objective 3 - Drive to Simon's Mansion.

When you stop in front of the door, a white guy with black clothes comes and says "Stand there" and then starts searching you. He takes your pistols.
Andre: Ain't it f*cked up?
Cashy: They don't know you. That's the reason.
Andre: Man, this muhf*cka's wearing a TV News suit! [Laughs]
The Guy: Okay, you can walk in.
Two muscular black-wearing guys, who seem to be bodyguards, come near you. One of them says "This way."
Cashy: f*ck that, he's acting like he's neva' got business with me!

Objective 4 - Walk in.

Andre: How pretty!
Cashy: Yea, that's what we gon' be next year.
Andre: Oh, c'mon...
When you get into the mansion, the guard starts talking.
The Guard: Boss is there.

Objective 5 - Walk into Simon's Room.

Simon is there. An English man in a grey formal suit, on an armchair in front of a big window to a little garden. Then, he stands up and turns to you.
Simon: Hello... Hello my friends! [You can notice he's a little innormal, moving his left shoulder while talking, and also his British accent].
Cashy: Hi Simon. This is my friend, Andre.
Andre: Nice to meet you sir!
Simon shakes hands with both of them.
Simon: Sit down.
Cashy: Have you heard the news?
Simon: Lots of them. Which one's the one you're talking about?
Cashy: Kevin, and Ballsacks.
Simon: Yes. I knew they had something to do, but I'm sure. More than ever.
Cashy: Have got any plans?
Simon: Right now, I've recieved a very huge amount of that material. That's four trucks. We distribute them, then we continue the Plan A.
Cashy: You mean you've found another warehouse?
Simon: Three ones. I will teach Mr. Sanders an unforgettable lesson...
Cashy: Just tell me to blow em up and I'll do!
Simon: No. I have 4 trucks and two drivers. I want you and your friend to drive them to my warehouse.
Cashy: Where are them?
Simon: They're parked in a garage in East Los Santos. I think they're near your neighborhood.
Cashy: That's nice.
Simon: What was your name... Oh, Andre! Why are you so silent?
Andre: What'ya expect me to say?
Simon: Cashy should've told you that I need a driver.
Andre: Yea...
Simon: We have a lot of work to do together. I'm Simon Addison, but feel free to call me just Simon. From now on, we're friends.
Andre: That's aight, Simon.
Simon: Let's get paid!
They shake hands again.

While Andre and Cashy are getting out of the mansion, Cashy shouts out to the guy who took your guns.
Cashy: Ayo! Gimme my straps!
The Guy comes and hands them to you.
Cashy: Hey 'Dre! You made it, man! I just dunno how the f*ck we're gon' get to the trucks.
Andre: I know.

Objective 6 - Get back in the car and drive to The Hood.

Conversations in the car:
Andre: I drive to Grove St. and then, we walk the rest of the way.
Cashy: Okay.

Objective 7 - Walk to The Garage.

Somebody is standing there, smoking a cigarette. When he finds out that you're looking at the garage like no one else in that hour, he comes near you.
The Guy [looks at Andre]: Who you are?
Cashy: Simon sent us.
The Guy: I know you. But who the f*ck is this new dude?
He goes into the garage and seemingly calls Simon. You can't hear much of his words, but hear the last "Alright, boss" that he says. Then he points at you and says "You're allowed".

Objective 8 - Walk in.

The guy stops smoking his cigarette and starts talking to you.
The Guy: Now, you should be Andre.
Andre: Yea, that's me.
The Guy: Okay, Cashy should know where the Grapeseed warehouse is.
Cashy: You mean the one between Sandy Shores and Grapeseed?
The Guy: That's mu'f*ckin' right. See, Cashy, the red truck is yours for this month. It's double.
Cashy: What tha f*ck?! How the f*ck am I supposed to sell double the last month's amount? Simon didn't tell me 'bout it?
The Guy: millions of mothaf*ckas wanna be like you. If you don't like it, you can leave.
Cashy: I can't quit, but I really need help.
The Guy: But right now you should drive these to the warehouse, so do it.
Andre: Aye, Cashy, I'll help you man. We WILL do it.

Objective 9 - Get in one of the Trucks.

While you're getting in the truck, Cashy gets in on of them, too. He says "Man, just follow me."

Last Objective - Follow the path that Cashy goes. After you park the truck in The Warehouse, get out of it and walk out.

Cashy: We'll start the disribution tomorrow.
Andre: That's nice. I feel like Simon's the one to trust.
Cashy: I hope so.
Andre: See you soon, man!

Reward: 1000$

[Liver Buster]

Well, although it harks back to the one between Franklin and Lamar's most of the times, I like the interaction between Cashy and Andre. The two men who try to make it big; get out of the hood but their visions are much more different; Andre wants to make it big in the rap game, sees it more "out-of-the-hood" and possibly safer than dealing dope. However, Cashy sees the way of getting a brighter life as becoming a hot-shot dope slinger, obviously aiming to be a big dog and operating out from a huge mansion up in the hills. These two ways for getting the same goal makes these men's interaction interesting and enjoying to witness.

 

Yeah, for these progressives, I can say it differs from Franklin and Lamar's: meanwhile those two also have tried to hustle their way out to somewhere bigger, and both of their obligation's "solid" crime to achieve it. Lamar saw that as "You gotta struggle in the hood to get out of it." so he participates in crimes involving the hood, most distinctively dealing drugs but Franklin's not much more different; he also saw being a criminal is a way of making it big but he's looking for safer short-ways to pile up money; that generalized as hitting up banks with two washed-up, troubled old bank robbers. Especially, looking at the fact that Michael has been marked as "The Most Wanted Man in America" once upon a time because he's a notorious crooked stick-up man (of course, maybe his other illegal activities in the past could have made him gain that "honor") and that didn't end up much well for him. Both Lamar and Franklin's methods are questionable in terms of which is more succesive, safer and guarantee. This makes the interaction between two interesting but also different from Cashy and Andre's, however ways of looking at it would make it complex as Andre is getting shapened at a time where rap game is violent at top, almost as dangerous and risky as getting shot in a street corner for slinging dope... which is also uniquely interesting if you ask me.

 

For other sides of the interaction between Cashy and Andre, I mean it really resembles the one between Franklin and Lamar. Andre's being too much of a bitch to Cashy, which unfortunately resembles Franklin's attitude to Lamar. He somehow seems to push hard to fold-blindedly follow Cashy but I'm just thinking it's the way the story shapes and willing to give time to how the interaction derails and is gonna worked in a different way.

 

Yep, I always wanted to compared Franklin-Lamar and Cashy-Andre... this is my honest review.

 

By the missions 4, 5 and 6 are really good. Also I'm really eager to see how Sanders is gonna totally turn the tables for his side. I mean Cashy is a bit foolish for seeing Sanders as a bitch, but what I see is Sanders has a clockwork mind that helps him work out a drug dealing ring. I believe we've not see that fully shine on Sanders' character yet but considering his voice is Idris Elba, I'm really waiting to see a sharp, wise drug-obligated criminal mind like Stringer Bell himself.

I really like the weapons list. However, the shotguns section is blurred, at least for me. You should really fix that. The nail bat also feels out of place. I can't picture a gangbanger carrying that around. A psychopath, of course, would wield one willingly. I can easily see Andre using a chainsaw, as it's a normal item that is easily turned into a weapon. Really, you should replace it. Other than that, it's great.

Mission 07

A Worthy Offer

This mission starts when you recieve a call from Simon. Cashy is not in the hood at that time.

Phone Call:
Andre: What up?
Simon: Hi, fellow.
Andre: Uh, you should be Mr. Addison.
Simon: You can simply call me Simon.
Andre: 'kay, Simon. Then what up?
Simon: I've heard that you want to be a... I don't know what was that called... Emcee?
Andre: That's it. A rapper.
Simon: A rapper, right.
Andre: And then?
Simon: I have some connections to rappers who grew out of your own hood. They made it out of the hood, so nothing can stop you from doing so.
Andre: Are you gonna help me, man?
Simon: What about a mansion? With a studio, lots of rooms... and... and... And not in the hood at all!
Andre: C'mon! What do you mean?!
Simon: I think I said my words clearly. A mansion, for you.
Andre: So what 'bout Cashy?
Simon: Me and him got business together and you're my driver. I'm going to give both of you what you want.
Andre: That's cool man, that's cool. But, I ain't a kid and I bet you got some sh*t to do.
Simon: Yes, you're right. "Some sh*t to do". Some tough work.
Andre: What's it, then?
Simon: It's about Sanders. He has the whole Ballas territory under his control. I want you and your __ er, homies, to bring two of his guys to me.
Andre: Ain't ya askin' sumthin' too big from me? I thought I was just yo' driver.
Simon: Then I'm giving you something big, too.
Andre: 'kay, then. I'll think 'bout it.
Simon: Well. I hope you make the right choice.

When the phone call ends, Andre takes a look around. Seems like some of the homies are talking at Davis Ave.

Objective 1 - Go and talk up to The Homies.

James stops talking, then says "Hi 'Dre!" and shakes hands with Andre.
James: Wassup?
Andre: Do you know Cashy's supply? I mean, his connect, I dunno what ya call it.
James: No, but I know he's got one.
Andre: Then he's offerin' us sumthin.
James: What?
Andre: Kevin's got annoying, so the connect wants us to do somethin 'bout it.
James: I don't even know the guy, man. I can't help you.
Andre [takes his arm and takes him some steps ahead where other guys can't hear them]: What ya wanna know, nigga?
James: Who's the connect?
Andre: His name's Simon.
James: f*ck! Man I know that guy! [laughs] Then, that ain't no secret to me!
Andre: Really?!
James: Yea, Cashy introduced me to him.
Andre: sh*t... That guy's gettin' rich through the hood, and we still f*ckin' in the hood...
James: Just care 'bout the money.
Andre: See, I need some guys. We're gonna f*ck up some ballsacks.
James: What the f*ck?! You know betta, he should be payin' real good!
Andre: I do. He does.
James: Where? Who?
Andre: Bring me the guys, then we can go through the sh*t.
James: So go get you a car. Come back here in 15 minutes.
Andre: Gotcha. [shakes hands with James]

Objective 2 - Walk around The Hood and Steal a Car.
Objective 3 - Drive away and come back after a while.

James is standing there waiting for you. Louis is also there with him, carrying a duffel bag. Two cars arrive as you drive there and all of them are full. James is holding two Tec 9's. He opens the car's door and once he sits on the front seat, he passes one of the 9's to you.
James: You should be strap'd, homie. What 'bout you Louis?
Louis: What 'bout me?
James: You okay?
Louis: Yea, man.
Andre: Lemme call Simon.

Objective 4 - Call Simon.

Phone Call:
Andre: Hi, Simon.
Simon: Hi, fellow! Did you think about it?
Andre: Yea, I'mma do it. Who are the guys?
Simon: Nice... Well, See... One of them wears a black T-Shirt, and black pants. He's black, of course and is usually around a red-painted house.
Andre: Uh huh, and the other one.
Simon: The other one wears Ballas colors. Purple clothing. And I think you all know him.
Andre: How can I know a Ballsack bastard?!
Simon: He's a rich dealer, actually, but he still sells the product himself, and stands in a corner. These guys are both in Rancho.
Andre: Where should I bring em to?
Simon: I have a garage in LS County. They are prepared to serve these guys.
Andre: Aight. I get it done. Bye Simon.
Simon: Good luck, fellow.

After the call is finished, Andre looks at James.
Andre: We head to Rancho. Are the other cars following us?
James: Yea.
Andre: 'Kay. We're lookin' for a nigga with purple clothes, standing at the corner, sellin' sh*t, and another one dressed black, in front of a red house.
Louis: Let's go.

Objective 5 - Drive to Rancho.
Objective 6 - Look out for The Guys.

Suddenly James shouts.
James: THAT MUTHAf*ckA'S THERE!
There are some purple-wearing guys at corner of one of the streets. One of them receives some cash from the others and gives them a bag. He should be the drug dealer.
Andre: Great to see ya, bastard.

Objective 7 - Drive to the corner.

James and Louis shoot the other guys. The two other cars stop with tire screech sounds. Louis runs out of the car and opens his bag.
Louis: [shouts] Don't let him go!

Objective 8 - Shoot The Guy's Leg and jump on Him.

Louis runs at you with some ropes in his hand.
The Guy [while trying to get up]: F*CK YOU!
Louis: Great job, man. I bend the mothaf*cka.
Andre: How we gon' take him?
Louis: Ain't you got a brain?
Andre: You really f*ckin' tryna be funny? Here in Ballsack turf?
Meanwhile, Louis is closing the guy's mouth with adhesive tape.
Louis: We put him in the trunk.
Andre: Uh, sh*t. The nigga's bleeding.
Louis: f*ck that. Ayo, Jamie!
James comes running.
James: What?
Louis: Take this nigga to the lovely trunk.
James: [takes a look at the guy] Man, he's f*ckin' bleedin'.
Louis: Shut the f*ck up nigga! I thought you's crazier than me!
James calls two other guys and they throw him in the trunk.
Andre: Man, this is ballsack hood we should hurry up!
Louis: You know what, I don't give a f*ck. Anyway let's go.

Objective 9 - Run back to the car.

James: Let's search fo' the second nigga, man.

Objective 10 - Start Driving around the Ballas Turf.

One of car's headlights get shot. When you look around you see a car full of ballas gangsters who have just started a Drive-By.
Andre: sh*t! We should get the f*ck outta here!
James: [After shooting back] Cashy was right! You's a pussy!
Andre: Shut the f*ck up!
James: Drive outta this hell, then we change seats.
Andre: Why?
Louis: Just do what he says nigga!

Objective 11 - Drive out of the Ballas Turf and stop somewhere.
Objective 12 - Get out of The Car and sit on Front Seat.

James: Load up yo' f*ckin' Nine. Them motha'f*ckers keep shootin'.
Now, James starts driving back to The Ballas Turf, while the other cars from your hood are still there continuing the drive-by shooting.
Louis: Man, it's gettin' f*ckin' bad and I love it!
James: Like it's f*ckin' Ninety-Two!

Objective 13 - Shoot at The Ballas Cars.

While you're shooting, you suddenly notice a black car with the Black-wearing guy in it. He has sunglasses, a black cap and a black tee as far as you can see.

Andre: sh*t, stop Jamie!
James: What the f*ck happened?
Andre: The black guy! He's there!
James: sh*t! Let's get him.
Andre: Louis! Can you shoot his tires?
Louis: Hell yea! But we should do it together nigga!

Objective 14 - Shoot at The Tires.

When Andre and Louis are done with shooting the tires and his car gets out of control, he jumps out of the car and starts running. He has a knife in his hand.

James: Let's get that bitch!

Objective 15 - Get out of The Car and run at The Guy.
Objective 16 - Fist His Hand and take his Knife.

Another one of your homies' cars stops behind you.
The driver talks to James.
The Driver: Man, it's f*cked up, cops is on tha way!
James: sh*t! Take this muthaf*cka outta here!

Objective 17 - Wait until Louis is done with The Guy. Then put Him in The Other Car's Trunk.
Objective 18 - Drive to The Spot.

Andre: Aight, we leave the cars here.
The other car stops after you.
The Driver: Cops may be after us.
James: we get in that sexy car layin' over there, 'kay?
The Driver: Then what 'bout us?
James: Get you a car, I dunno.

Objective 19 - Drive back to The City.

James: Stop 'round the hood. Hope they didn't bust any nigga.

Another one of the homies who was in the third car runs at you.
The Homie: Where the f*ck you was at?
James: Man, what happened?
The Homie: The cops, man. They may come back.
Andre: f*ck that, man. It's a nice day. Enjoy it! I gotta go.
They shake hands together.
James: See you later man.

Last Objective - Call Simon.

Andre: It's done, Simon.
Simon: Oh, Hello Andre!
Andre: I said it's done, man.
Simon: Okay. You can meet me here tomorrow.
Andre: Aight. Hope you pay back.
Simon: I promised. I will do it.
Andre: Kay. See ya.

It took me a while to get around to reading it, but here I am. Overall, the mission was straightforward and to the point. It gets the job done and was a fairly solid mission. However, there are two points I want to scrutinize.

 

 

Objective 8 - Shoot The Guy's Leg and jump on Him.

On paper, this sounds good. In terms of gameplay, though, it doesn't seem like it would fare too well with players. That's something I tend to keep in mind when writing content for my concept. If the guy was running away, it would be frustrating to try and aim at his legs. This is something that would play out better in a cutscene or if it was rewritten. Gives you something to think about.

 

 

Objective 16 - Fist His Hand and take his Knife.

To begin with, I'm not sure what you mean when you say "fist his hand". Some kinky stuff going on there. Secondly, this objective is in the same boat as the last one. It seems too specific to be an objective. Something simpler, like "tackle him" would be easier in gameplay terms.

Some Bricks

as Cashy

It's 7PM. You're walking in the hood as Andre. Your phone calls and the cutscene starts. Andre looks at the phone anxiously. It's Kevin. He picks up the phone. During this cutscene, you only see Andre.

Kevin: Y'know me right?
Andre: Officer. [Looks back with a frown on his face, at the green-wearing guys standing in the corner of the street for a moment, then turns his head back, looking ahead at the other side of the street. That takes about 5 seconds of silence.]
Kevin: Calvin shoulda taught you how to talk. Seems like he hasn't, ha?
Andre [scratches his nape]: What of it?
Kevin: Now that's the problem I've always had with yo' neighborhood: You never know who you talkin' to!
Andre [smiles, slightly]: I know. I know. Now why you callin' me? See, Cashy's no longer a pimp and I ain't neither. We ain't got no hoes. Call somebody else, man.
Kevin: And the other problem, is that you ain't even got a good sense of humor. Just like me. I NEVER joke.
Andre: Say what yo wanna say, man. I ain't got time fo' yo' Memorable Quotes. [starts walking down the street]
Kevin: You're too young fo' talkin' to me like that. Just like all the other sh*t you're doin! You been f*ckin' my business and I know it. I know you want money and clothes and all. Ok then! I'll give 'em to you just if you stop doin' this sh*t and work for me.
Andre: I ain't done nothin' to yo' business. That's none of my business. We'll talk 'bout it later. [laughs silently]
Kevin: I'll give you two hours to think. Call me then.

He ends the phone call and Andre puts the phone back in his pocket. Suddenly he sees Cashy driving in his car.

Objective - Run into the street and stop him.

Cashy tries to stop the car and ends up braking with a bad scratch sound.
Cashy: What the f*ck are you doin' nigga?!
Andre: The f*ck!
Cashy: sh*t! Dre!
Andre: Man we should meet simon RIGHT NOW.
Cashy [looks at him with wide eyes]: Huh? Now?
Andre: Yea, man. I'll tell ya why on the way.

Now you play as Cashy.

Objective 2 - Get in the car.
Objective 3 - Drive to Simon's Mansion.

On the way, they talk.
Cashy: Now don't you wanna tell me what's happened?
Andre: Kevin just called me.
Cashy: What? What did he talk 'bout? He shoulda found out 'bout our plan... Damn.
Andre: He said he wants me to work fo' him.
Cashy: That muhf*cka' always has a plan.

Objective 4 - Get out of the car.
Objective 5 - Walk into the mansion.

Andre and Cashy walk into Simon's room, following one of the guards.
Simon: Hello fellows. What has happened? I didn't expect you to come here tonight.
Andre says "we -" but Cashy starts talking, after looking at him.
Cashy: We also didn't wanna come here but we somehow had to.
Simon: Why? Tell me.
Cashy: Kevin has called Andre up. 'Bout business.
Simon: Did you accept it, Andre?
Andre: 'Course I didn't! I came here cuz I didn't know what to do.
Simon: Call him back and accept it.
Cashy [shouts]: Why?! [Gazes at Simon]
Simon: Maybe I have a reason for that! [smiles]
Andre: Okay, okay. I'll do it.
Cashy gazes at Simon angrily, then sits down on one of the armchairs.
Andre calls Kevin.

Phone Call:
Andre: Hi officer.
Kevin: What's yo' decision now, little ghetto boy?!
Andre: I'll work fo' you.
Kevin: Good, good. Now listen up nigga: I'm just waiting fo' the next time you make a mistake. That's when I have to set you up in a way that no one can help you. Be careful with what you do.
Andre: C'mon man! What you mean?!
Kevin: I want yo' loyalty, and I'mma put it to test.
Andre: How?
Kevin: I have a warehouse in LS County. Chumash, that's it.
Andre: Uh-huh. [squints]
Kevin: Sell everything there till the next Saturday. I want 30 percent of the cash. OK?
Andre: Okay.
[End of phone call].

Simon: What did he say?
Andre: He told me to empty his warehouse.
Simon [turns his head to Cashy]: I know you can do it for me.
Cashy: Do what? I guess 'Dre was yo' driver!
Simon: Bring his material to my garage. Yes, he is, but I want YOU to do this tonight.
Cashy: Whatchu wanna do with 'em?! [gazes at him with wide eyes]
Simon: I have a plan. We'll discuss it tomorrow.
Cashy: Okay. Where is it, 'Dre?
Andre: Chumash, LS County.
Cashy: 'Kay, I'll do it, but what if it's a trap?
Simon: We'll take care of you. [Points to one of his guards] Call your guys to protect our fellow!
Guard: Alright, sir.
Cashy: Do you have any trucks?
Simon: Oh, funny! Of course I do! Go to the garage and take one out.
Cashy: Aight.

Objective 6 - Get out of the mansion. Get in your Car and drive to Simon's Garage.
Objective 7 - Park your car in the garage.

While you're parking your car, the guy in garage taps on your window. Cashy rolls the window down.
Cashy: What up?
The Guy: Simon called me and told me you need a truck.
Cashy: So let's go.
The Guy: Take that black van. No one can see what's inside.

Objective 8 - Get in the Black Van. Drive to Kevin's Chumash Warehouse.
Objective 9 - Wait until Simon's guards arrive and check if it's not a trap.

One of the guards walks to where Cashy's standing.
The Guard: You can go in. We opened the door and everything is alright.
Cashy: Okay.

Objective 10 - Drive into the warehouse.

There are a lot of bricks everywhere. Cashy looks around, amazed.
Cashy: Wow! I'mma need help fo' puttin' this sh*t inside that van! We're gonna need another van.
The Guard: We'll help you. [turns his head to another guard] Hey you! Come here!

Objective 11 - Put bricks in The Cart and put them into van's back.

The van is full and some bricks are still left.
Cashy: It's full man. What the f*ck you gon' do now?
The Guard: It's not that much. Put it in our car's trunk.
Cashy: 'kay.

Objective 12 - Put the rest in The Guards' Car's Trunk.

The Guard: We'll take the van back. You drive the car instead. Park it in sir's parking.
Cashy: Where's the parking?
The Guard: In the mansion, of course.

Last Objective - Drive the car to The Parking.

Cashy gets out of the car and walks into the building. Andre and Simon are talking.
Cashy: Done!
Simon: Great fellow! I told Andre, but I'm also telling you: Be here tomorrow. In the morning. Okay?
Cashy: Okay.
Andre: G'night, sir.
Cashy: Let's go.

Reward: 500$

I like the intermission idea but this is confusing.

 

I'm playing as Andre, the protagonist, I get a phone call and then I'm playing as Cashy? It's odd because there's no real reason for Cashy to be the protagonist on this run. Andre is still getting the phone calls. Andre is still in the car. Why are we switching from him?

 

It would've been better as Cashy alone and a little later in the story. We're up to seven story missions and I'm just getting used to Andre.

Yeah, I'm right on the same spot with Tyla. The concept of intermissions is cool, well-thought but how you seem to cut it seems ambigious. I mean what do they serve? Andre and Cashy were together during whole the mission, that seems like some kind of stuff Andre also could doing instead of Cashy. I mean, intermissions' solid gist must be adding more to character development, and their backgrounds. Intermissions seem like something I have on my SOTEOF. If you're reading the story ordinarily, you'll remember. During Cold Blood, there were separated cutscenes showing him snatching a cop, torturing him. This was clearly aiming to show how his characteristic actually is behind the curtain. Also same situation were appeared in The Edge of Forever and Curtain Call of SOTEOF, as well. At first, I was thinking that the same idea of yours, for these parts, maybe I should make Combo the playable character, but I found it more consistent to show them in separated cutscenes rather than making them a part of gameplay, but it was the choice of the chef, of course. Still, your idea is cool, I can see it better and working-well if intermissions are executed appropiately.

 

What I mean is that there should be a clear purpose for playing with character rather than the protagonist. I also echoe what Tyla said: I would have preffered Cashy tag alone rather than being Andre. It'd bring more of his characteristics to shine. To extent this point, I think intermissions should be put on the conditions, situation that would show us more of other characters' persona. My suggestions are pretty much these. Good luck, man. Hopefully, we're gonna see more shaped-up intermissions in the future.

[XXII Revise]

The official soundtrack looks great. DJ Khalil and araabMuzik? You have good taste in producers. But I could imagine the DJ Premier produced mass appeal being in Ghetto Green in some way.

Yes it does i really like the Non Stop-Pop playlist but could use some indie pop artist.
