Your times don't use daylight savings. I use this website to check my times:

I remember I had a big issue with EST/EDT (Eastern Standard Time & Eastern Daylight Time). Worst time to do meets is when you're still being used to add an hour. So the only ones that change are PST, MST, CST and EST (first line). The others don't appear to have daylight saving timezones (as far as the website posted suggests). The website lets you add 4 timeszones so add in GMT and then add a few others to compare with your GMT. The grid matches it up and makes the letters bold if daylight saving is currently used or not. You can also use your fingers by finding the time of any of those above (I use EST since it's my timezone) and remove one, it's CST, remove another and it's MST and other is PST. They all follow (3,4,5,6). GMT always has +4 of EDT and +5 of EST. IST (Outkast) is a bit more technical and UTC is +17 of EST or +16 of EDT, I believe (or add 12 to GMT). So I hope my times are correct. Feel free to use those if you wanna get technical and include half the world.

So the numbers will be the same as usual but instead of PST, CST, EST, GMT, etc, it's gonna be PDT, CDT, EDT and BST. Gonna take some taking used to. I removed UTC as I always thought it was +17 of EST but turns out GMT and UTC aren't offset (they're the same). Can't remember who made me use +17 and if I was correct with UTC. Way too confused to use it, now. Right, so you were correct. I haven't slept yet. Sorry.

Just learned GMT does have a daylight saving and it's called BST. Never heard of that and I've been using GMT for my UK friends for years (with no comment on their part). The link I posted (worldtimebuddy) shows GMT is in current use, not BST (British Summer Time). So you got your own timezone wrong?

Help me clear this up as I'm honestly confused.

You converted the times for when the meet happens which does use BST. Right, my numbers are off. Will correct them in a minute. Thanks for that.

"BST begins at 01:00 GMT on the last Sunday of March and ends at 01:00 GMT (02:00 BST) on the last Sunday of October."

I think with knowing how much planning goes into Yello meets it because its gonna take a while to perfect. I'm quite sure it will be well worth the wait.

Exactly what Steve said. Plus a lot of people are still busy playing Heists; the date de-conflicts with other off-road meets and because the meets can last 2+ hours, weekends are best (for most)

I hope you're all spending some time on your Sanchez's getting in some practice.

The running order of Olympic events will be;

• Sanchez and Olympian voting - who looks the best.
• Boxing. Round 1
• Hurdles
• Slalom
• Cross Country
• High Jump
• Rock Climbing
• Boxing. Round 2
• Mountain Biking
• Triathlon
• Diving. Round 1
• Diving. Round 2
• Clay Pigeon Shooting

We'll be riding between events so if everyone could follow in convoy, that'll be great and a reminder; apart from the Boxing and Shooting event; there will be no killing of players or destroying bikes.

 

Some of the events have been designed in 'Creator' and some are in the lobby. The creator events mean that any loss of the Sanchez means Mors Mutual will not be stinging you for insurance and you won't have to find the nearest road for the mechanic to deliver a replacement bike.

Please ensure you are stocked up on snacks and you have a parachute equipped. There will be an opportunity to buy one between events if you forget.

All of the events have been tested on a standard Sanchez but custom Sanchez's are allowed and encouraged so you have the best chance of winning!

Some of the events have podiums at the finish for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I'll mention it before each event, but once people cross the finish line could I ask that they don't actually cross the GTA finish line, so photo's can be taken on the podium doing your best air guitar or dance move!

 

There are still places left, so if you havent signed up yet...what are you waiting for!

The time is approaching rapidly and i am looking forward to this. I make no apology's for being the person who falls down the most :-) In fact i see it as giving you all entertainment. I am prepared to loose horribly and that's going to be fun!! I am not good on bikes at all, in real life too i crashed a 50cc scooter the first time i got on a bike, but am looking forward to having a go anyway.

 

I see a few friendly faces in the entry list so this should be a meet full of laughs :-) See you all there.
