It's worked for everyone else who has tried it.

For me the car keeps disappearing and I know I am doing it right because it worked for the two manana variants and the jackal

It does work, worked on my first try, car respawned in street... Its all about positioning

I've found most of my sea wash tornados in the city actually. They pop up every once in a while (every few months). That's often enough for me to grab one when I see it and I have one on most of my characters from city spawns. If I really want to find one I can loop around sandy shores and get one eventually, might take a few hours or lots of hours, might not take long at if lots of tornados are driving past. Anyway it's possible but why bother when you can stack them up.

 

 

They spawn when other rusty tornadoes are spawning under the bridges near ammunition near that high rise construction site. I spent hours a while back and got a white and seawash there

I wish I hadn't sold these off after transferring to PS4, as these were plentiful on PS3. After hours of trying to get them to spawn, I only have a Peyote that was left over from transferring and a hard-top Tornado which the only "unaffiliated gang" car I've made spawn on PS4**. I've completed my Ballas, Grove St. and Vagos collections, but still struggling to rebuild my Unaffiliated collection.

 

** I got it to spawn up the street from the Ballas' cul-de-sac location. No luck getting any to spawn on the road north of Ammunation.

Try driving a vehicle of the same type near the spawn and approach it slow (flow of traffic). If that doesn't work, try using one of the two unaffiliated vehicles that you have to trigger the spawn. I never had much luck on Grove St. but they spawn somewhat reliably near the SE AmmuNation (however, I am on PC).

The Blue Surfer is probably the last Surfer worth spawning without the piling method. If you really want it, you can try to spawn it solo. I've posted some tips here on how to spawn rusty Surfers(solo).

I've followed multiple tips and tricks over the last year or so since I lost my original and it just never seems to appear for me. I've found literally everything else but that one alludes me. RULE 1 of GTA: Cars will always be common until you are specifically looking for it. Once you start searching you will never see it again.

While other members have been able to spawn the unaffiliated cars in time locked missions, I could never get any luck. I spent hours upon hours trying to get them to spawn in Chopper Tail, but couldn't get a single one.

 

I eventually gave up on using a mission, and got all of mine in freeroam in an Invite only lobby. All of mine spawned between 13:00 and 18:00 o'clock times, so I think it was the noon locked missions that were throwing me off.

 

Oh, I used other gang cars to spawn mine btw.

Yes for these you are best to try in free roam rather than a mission as the gang cars don't have specific spawn times and most of the time I got them at

the times wagon92X states as I've always seen them later in the day, Grove Street is a far better spawn location than the warehouse at Cypress Flats.

 

My usual 100% methhod is get the normal car or gang car. Stop at the railroad crossing for at least a minute and then drive at normal speed towards

Grove Street, you should see the car on the driveway, if not turn around and repeat again.

I wish I hadn't sold these off after transferring to PS4, as these were plentiful on PS3. After hours of trying to get them to spawn, I only have a Peyote that was left over from transferring and a hard-top Tornado which the only "unaffiliated gang" car I've made spawn on PS4**. I've completed my Ballas, Grove St. and Vagos collections, but still struggling to rebuild my Unaffiliated collection.

 

** I got it to spawn up the street from the Ballas' cul-de-sac location. No luck getting any to spawn on the road north of Ammunation.

I've been finding them at the spot near the Ammunation pretty easily by using a gang car of the same type i'm trying to spawn. Very easily, actually. Like 2 or 3 passes. But without the gang car, I can't get them to spawn for the life of me. I do it in freemode during daylight hours, and seem to have the best luck in the afternoon. Hope this helps. Held a Worn Sea Wash Duneloader for two hours while, friend got it, worth it because of how difficult they are to spawn.

 

They're never hard to spawn for me. I just steal a random one near Sandy Shores and get a friend to watch the Duneloaders while I get them from the Lost MC area in Blaine County. I can get 3 Worn Sea Wash Duneloaders within 30 minutes if that counts, but most come with junk in the back whereas the rest come without the junk in the back.

 

Although I have come close to obtaining a Duneloader without any junk in back, clean dashboard and Level 1 patina on it, but never got it like that.

I finally got the rest of the gang vehicles. The unaffiliated cars finally spawned easy for me using the chopper mission and driving really slow towards the garage spawning place I go each car within 2 attempts. How are the tinted windows that are up on the Mananas stay for some people be disappear when I store it?
