I think it won't matter what Tornado you convert. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the Mariachi Tornado can't be converted as it's a 'special' vehicle.

I've been meaning to ask about this. Of course it's all speculation and none of us know for sure, BUT...if the Mariachi Tornado could be converted at Benny's, do you think it would retain the guitars? Or would they be lost in the conversion?

 

I suspect that if it can be converted at all, the guitars would be lost in the interior conversion.

I used to have 3 in my garage with all different levels of rust, but never got a pic of them. Here's a pic with 2 of them. The 3rd one had rust that was in between both of these:

Here's why I'm worried that the rusty Tornado won't be able to go to Benny's. Each vehicle has a "stock" polaroid that shows up on the website. The one for the Tornado is the clean one, not rusty. If R* wanted to sell the whole rusty-to-clean angle, why wouldn't they put the rusty one like they did the Voodoo? Granted, there wasn't a clean Voodoo in the game at the point, but still. The game clearly treats the rusty and clean Tornados as 2 separate vehicles, not different paints on the same vehicle (since one has suspension mods and the other doesn't). They easily could have used a rusty Tornado in the image, but they didn't. I'm certainly hoping, but I'm not too sure about it anymore. Or maybe I'm just being overly paranoid.

Maybe they'll add the clean version on the website, but you can convert the rusty ones from the streets too (with an extra 'fee' knowing r*)

Thinking one donor car style, probably hardtop that can be made topless. Not sure how beater vs clean will work out but I'm thinking hardtop would be easier to do for obvious reasons. Will always keep the seanado I got the hard way regardless of potential dlc, very hopeful however!

Rockstar generally do things the wrong way so paranoia is warrented and I wont be surprised if they stuff this up. This is the biggest gta forum and one of the most active threads so I'm sure they are aware of worn car collecting, the ball is in thier court. More profit for them and more people actively playing if they go rusty. Either way Im not going to replace them if they dont upgrade.

Well I for one am hoping ALL variants of the Tornado can be done at Benny's but as other's have said I have a feeling they are going to restrict it.

 

I have not seen any of the leaks pics as was busy in game yesterday but if it is the "clean" version of the Tornado that suggests only that version might

go in Benny's but I don't know how they would code that.

 

My realistic expectation is that all "four" variants of the Tornado will be allowed but the mariachi may be barred from conversion.

Spawn point is hit/miss sometimes - however interesting that you spawned it with a Slamvan, normally only get this when driving a Manana.

Hey wanted to give an update / confirm a few things.

 

A: The cars can still be pulled out of missions, just pulled the red mana outta hit em up. I believe this car (and the one from time to get away) may be the same color, which is matte dark red with a WORN red pearlescent. I forget which of the reds, but i know its worn as the pearl is darker than usual.

 

B: The secondary color glitch can be done IN ANY MISSION. I just did the track with the manana i pulled out of hit em up, so its got a matte crewblack secondary with the red pearl.

But I do have a question, Im in the process of collecting the Unique Surfer Vans.

 

From the Red/Yellow van, the wheels lose their color. I have nicked two and it happened to both. Is their an explanation for this? (I'm doing this on my 2nd Character, which is currently level 7, could this be the issue?

i appreciate that. Stupid me for thinking that matte as a pearl in general was super bright just because of one color. Interesting that worn dark red pearl is super dark. although, looking at your image of matte dark red, in comparison with mine (its the mana from the mission) the manana from hit em up appears to be slightly brighter than matte dark red....although i was i believe trying to say it may be a worn not dark red but perhaps worn sunset red? Is there even such a thing to verify?

Have had pretty interesting spawns with dlc cars and motorcycles, will have to spend some time in sandy shore and paleto bay with this baby!
