I stole an npc jackal the other day, that was distinctively a jaguar to my ears.

I heard The new sound of The schafter and Coquette classic today...I'm soo f*cking envy, I sold my old Coquette I couldn't stand The horrible old engine sound...

 

What about The Warrener? Does it still sounds like a weakling 4-banger??

Yeah the Warrener still sounds mostly the same to me.

GT has always had horrible engine sounds.

I'm a fan of the Infernus and F620 engines, they just sound so damn angry. Also like the Rat truck and Dominator.

 

On the negative side it seems to me that the Sabre has been quietened a bit, used to be my favourite sounding on PS3 (along with Carbo which still sounds great) but not anymore.

Just made this. All the Muscle class cars, minus the Ruiner, plus the Coq Classic.

GTA5, better rim selection than Forza better car sounds than Gran Turismo.

and Adder

For muscle
most of them are the same
but the one shared with the vigero/dominator
and the other that between the Slamvan/Duke o Death/Marshall and Liberator

I wish they kept the sound the JB700 had from last gen, loved how it was louder than the regular sultan engine, to bad it got replaced with the engine sound the coquette classic had on last gen, and the coquette classic has the dominator sounding engine which is not bad but i preferred the sounds they had on last gen for those particular cars.

Comet imo is one with the best sound upgrade, mainly from inside car (FPV), that thing is loud.

Definitely loving the sounds on new gen. Infernus, Hotknife, Carbo are some that stand out for me. I've not heard the schwartzer yet but the schafter doesnt sound that great to me. I guess I'll have to check out the Adder again because I didnt notice anything.

 

This is a good thread keep it coming. Dominator, Dukes etc etc, Furore GT.

Adder sounds different, but not better. It sounds raspier but the actual engine sound got reduced.

Well sorry to break it to you, but the Real-life car makes almost no sound when moving, it's bulls*it just how quiet that W16 engine is. You'd think "oh it as W16 it's going sound like a beast" kinda like this:

 

But alas it's a oversize vacuum cleaner, still the adder makes more sound then a 2014 F1 Hoover vacuum powered cars.

Is a good video but it would be a perfect one without turbo upgrades!

Ah yeah sorry, I forgot people tend do not like that. My bad, I like the turbo sounds.

Yeah the Coquette classic and Rat truck definitely received a huge sound update and now sound like a genuine small block, instead of a leaf blower... The Carbo is a favorite for sure, but I think the V8's have the best overall sound improvement...Coquette Dukes, Hotknife, Slam van being good examples... but for me personally, it does'nt get any sexier than the Z-type at full pitch! God I love that car!

 

Dude what's the paint job on that? Totally switching mine to that!

IMO the Grottis sound the best. The first time I heard the Carbo, holy sh*t. Other cars just make lots of awesome noise, but most Grottis are a little less loud and create this ridiculously cool sound.

The scream of the Comet as it fights for traction is pretty damn hot on a solid sound output. (ie PX51's or SteelSeries H's)

Rapid gt sounds awesome. f620 deep and menacing. And the turbo on the racecar jester.

Only one engine change I don't like, the Duneloader. Gone is the awesome industrial diesel I-8 and instead sounds like a I-4 turbodiesel. Too quiet, and kills the aggressive personality of the Duneloader.

Yeah it was'nt easy to find a paint that reflected so well at all angles... Because the lights in the Pay'n'spray suck when it comes to imitating sunlight, I ran through about 30 different combo's (and about 400k) until I found that a "straw brown" primary with a "cream white" pearlescent looked remarkably like champagne, the pearl even looked good overlapping the black steel secondary and muted the shininess just enough... Enjoy!

 

Now back OT, in lue of us receiving race versions of both the Mascarro and Jester (ie Aston Martin & Acura) i'd love to see a hardcore race version of the Grotti Carbonizare (aka Ferarri 599). My only hope, is that they take the truly spectacular soundtrack from the 599 GTO... Which is, in my opinion, hands down the sickest soundtrack of any v-12!!!

The Gauntlet stockcar sounds really sick IMO. It sounds more agressive than cars with a similar engine sound (F620, Rapid GT, etc.).

 

I really think the turbo could use a "boost" (get it?) in the sound design. Something like this:

I've never heard an engine quite like that, amazing. Worlds apart from the old man sigh that we have in GTA.

If you really think hard enough, the Racing Massacro could be made to sound like a VTEC engine somewhat. Still one of my favourites even though I don't want to own one.
