Trevor's Hot Rod Blazer not saving modifications

I have gone to Los Santos Customs and maxed out the upgrades for Trevor's Hot Rod Blazer, immediately went back to my safehouse, parked it in it's original location and saved the game three times. However, each and every time the changes do not stay as the color, wheels and other modifications are not there. Am I supposed to park the Blazer into the Garage to make sure these changes save? I hope not, as I already have a very customized LCC Hexer in there I have for Trevor already. Can someone give me some insight on this issue? The changes for the Hot Rod Blazer are not staying/saving.

You can't save the mods on it like you can on the Bodhi.

Yes, you have to park it into a garage. That's because the game doesn't consider it Trevor's personal vehicle, although it's parked near Trevor's trailer. In fact, if you drive it away, a new Hot Rod Blazer will spawn in the same place.

The thing is, last month before I had the beautiful customized LCC Hexer in Trevor's Trailer Safehouse Garage, I tried parking the Blazer in it, saved and later what do you know, the modifications still didn't save. Do you perhaps another way to work around this?
