What appeals you to "rare" vehicles?

If its not garage blacklisted I'm sure it will be one of the most popular along with the stock car liveries.

 

But we've gone a long time without a working SP2MP glitch, can't believe that R* fixed it for good.....

In every GTA game I've played I always saved unique cars from missions. That carried on into GTA Online, so I try to collect some cars that may not be unique, but uncommon. I especially love my special Sentinel XS, the one that spawns in the purple-ish blue-ish colour.

 

In the story mode of GTA V there arent many unique vehicles. You better off using a save editor to spawn the vehicles you want. Its easy and takes under a minute to do.

Here's Tracy's Isi, Amanda's Sentinel. Mikes "K1FFLOM" Tailgater, Franks MKII and Trevors Bodhi with Mr. Rasberry Jam., and since the pitcure was taken I added Poppy Mitchel's Pink Cognoscenti

 

Acquiring these cars in Sp and glitching them in to Online was a lot of fun. (especially completing the Episilon program to get the Tailgater)

 

 

 

 

Youre missing the point. The only rare story mode vehicles is the Asea and the Bodi with the teddy bear. Imo unique license plates does not cut it to be rare, not even the Kifflom tailgater., License plates and the epsilon blue is easy to create online. The teddybear is not and now the Asea isnt rare at all in online, still rare in story mode though.

I've noticed whenever you are in a vehicle in Single Player and go into Online the vehicle instantly de-spawns as you ascend into the clouds, i think this may have been a precaution Rockstar took to make it impossible for another SP to MP Glitch to be found.

The title indeed is poorly written. In regards to the topic, it's a case by case basis. I don't go 'ohh, rare, do want.' It has to appeal to me on some level. I prefer the tailless phoenix and both my phoenixes are configured that way because I like the way it looks.

 

I don't have a mesa jeep, dubsta 2 or anything like that at this time. That said I do enjoy a novelty combined with a good laugh such as driving this thing around:

The Jets are very easy to steal in story mode, and sure you can recreate the vehicles from story mode with save editors but what fun is that?

To me the rarest is the Ruffian with fairings. The phoenix isn't that rare, the best thing to do is go to a invite only and play missions and races from there. Just do Gerald's missions and eventually it will spawn.

I'm talking about vehicles like the Deludamol van and (at one point) Dubsta 2 that needed you to do the SP2MP glitch. Vehicle like the Cageless Merryweather Mesa and wingless Pheonix only posdible through Hex editing. What makes them special or unique to you?

I don't personally class rare vehicles as ones that were glitched or modded in. Only if it is naturally hard to find.

I used to care a lot about "rare" vehicles when we only had one garage. The exclusivity wore off rather quickly though. Especially with the Asea, Buffalo S Intruder, etc. Now my garages are full of cars I actually like and ones that will win me races.

I guess people feel special when they have something not many other people. They like the feeling of getting 50 messages a day from noobs asking about their Roosevelt. I can guarantee you that if Rockstar were to make the Roosevelt available permanently, a lot of people would get rid of it because it would no longer be rare. That's happened with a lot of vehicles such as the Buffalo S and Asea.

 

Me personally, if I like a car, I'm gonna keep it, rare or not. Rarity does not make it any more special than my other cars. The first duplicated car I ever received was Franklin's Buffalo early on in GTA Online. To this day, I still own the same Buffalo, despite it now being purchasable.

Of course, I would get rid of my rare cars if they would become easily available. It is a lot of fun trying to get rare vehicles and it is a lot of fun, a reason for conversation, with other players when they visit my garage. Recently a +150 rank player visited me in my garage and said "Wow, Ive played hundreds of hours in this game and I never even seen some of these cars!".

 

I got rid of some of my rare cars when they became easily available, I still have my SP2MP Buffalo S though....its a fun car to mod and drive. Might switch it for a Felon though. Was great times when very few had it.

 

I wish Rockstar would make new cars available but make them really hard to get, with very rare spawns. Like the Intruder was. There is a thrill in the chase.

 

There is NO RARE cars in this game....

spoilerless phoenix is a base model 2nd gen firebird like the Esprit. I like the duck tail spoiler of the trans am better but i also like my rockford files inspired one as well.
