What appeals you to "rare" vehicles?

Recommended Posts

I'm talking about vehicles like the Deludamol van and (at one point) Dubsta 2 that needed you to do the SP2MP glitch. Vehicle like the Cageless Merryweather Mesa and wingless Pheonix only posdible through Hex editing. What makes them special or unique to you?

Edit: can any mod change the title to something fitting?

I have only ever have two vehicles I consider to be "rare" that I brought in from SP to MP and that was the Kifflom

Obey Tailsgater and the Ocelot F620 in Kifflom Blue.

They were unique to me because of the colour and I like The Epsilon Programme part of the game in SP and would have

liked them to be available randomly in Online as well.

I've always been a person that likes to collect stuff so anything that does not seem to be a normal regular sight in the game

gets my interest.

Rare is something not seen often like low riders players, not rare a bunch cars everyone and their mother own example would be Phoenix.

Hex editing is not rare but just a regular cheated car.

Enjoy those rides into the 10th paradigm, kifflom brother brother.

EDIT: I've been collecting rare vehicles since the days of the bulletproof Patriot in GTA III. I would say VC, SA, and V were the best as far as rare vehicles. IV had it's share too, but you had very limited storage with the 2 space limit for each safe house.

It's the uniqueness of the vehicles, plus I think they're cool, especially when modified. These vehicles, as well as about 5 or 6 others, were modified by Silverfox1.

When I was on 360 I used to have a epsilon blue Mariachi Tornado with epsilon blue classic rod wheels with white walls and fully maxed performance wise, but I got rid of it, the only rare cars I have now are the Roosevelt and the Worn Dark Red gang Peyote, which I tried to make a roofed version of but was too late as the SP to MP glitch at the time was patched.

I guess the real reason we like to have rare cars is you see so much white wall supers garbage out there that when someone recognises that you have a rare car it's a good feeling that instead of it just being another player you pass, you might actually befriend them due to the shared interest of the rare vehicle.

because not everyone owns them and its nice to kinda look at something diferend

that being said, i trew out my manana, hearse and some others out of my garage because they are, when not considering the looks, just rare pieces of sh*t :)

It's nice to have things that not everyone has and then have them ask, how'd you get that?

I think the rare vehicle i get asked about the most is my clean rebel.

or my burrito

Because the Spoilerless Phoenix (Bodystyle #0) looks better imo.

depends on the way they are modded. I personally like my winged phoenix more than the wingless, although each is unique in its own way.

FWIW the wingless phoenix can now be done by a simple d pad glitch in LSC, and the gold stock wheels can be obtained using iFruit.

The modded rebel can only be duped form someone who has one (it was a save edited truck). The Burrito can be modded with charles and iFruit but not with the colored wheels. that was done with the save editor on 360.

having something that you dont see everyday in every garage... thats the appeal!

You mean something only the owner sees, in his garage, never drives, and nobody else ever sees

You don't know >_> maybe he's a garage inspector and goes in and out of other garages daily.... Carimbo could be in your very garage as we speak.

FWIW i count modded vehicles because anyone who wanted one could have gotten one with a little bit of help from youtube. It's not like we made completely new cars. we just made versions R* should have put in the game in the first place. there is no reason a clean rebel can't have both the roof lights and Baja bumper when the rusty rebel has the option for both and rust has more textures than no rust so it's not like the clean rebel has more to render by not having rust on the side. Hell the wingless Phoenix was in one of the initial trailers which tells me it was supposed to be in the game. Kind of like how there is no glass T-top ruiner on xbox 360, but there apparently was on ps3. R* realized this mistake and put it back in for XB1.

The one I like just happened to be a rare vehicle, the Phoenix.

Thing is I CAN'T F'ING FIND ONE! Been looking for about a week now.

I've watched every YouTube vid on how to get it and I get nothing! Have they just deleted it?

I know it is mostly found at the docks but maybe it's a certain day or something. I dunno. I guess one will show up someday.

People are attracted to rare vehicles because they enjoy the feeling of driving something no one else has. They like it when people ask "How'd you get that?".

I remember taking my chrome Asea out and have people stare in awe at it back when it was rare.

I found mine within about 2 session hops of posting on here that I was about to give up, so maybe that's part of the magic?

Just do a circle of Simeon's warehouse, and if there's no Phoenices(?) then Find New Session. It'll happen eventually.

OT - The Roosevelt looks good with 2 guys on the running boards. The Phoenix looks awesome. Dubsta 2 gets me mo dollar. My Pigalle has the best first-person ambience in the game, IMO, and is rare in some ways. The hearse helps me meet new players, and is probably the only car I have mostly for its rarity. People notice it *shrug*.

There's nothing about e.g. the T&L mariachi car that I like, so I don't got it.

Honestly my favourite rare vehicle is the Cargobob #thankscargobob

I know it's not really rare considering you can purchase it but I like driving my pigalle.

I pretty much never see anyone else driving one in free-roam.

That's because 90% of them are driving zentornos

The only vehicle I have that would be considered rare is the Phoenix. I've spent an inordinate amount of time hunting hard top Stallions as well. The appeal is in the hunt for me. I'm borderline bored with missions, free-roam f*ckery and grinding so it's something different. However, I've never had anyone in my garage say "WOAH HOW DID YOU GET THAT!??" because most vehicles can be had with some Googling and YouTubing and hard work.
