Returning pfft, what about the active loyal players.

People should get nothing for returning since you quit/left.

 

If anything people that upgraded to current gen are more "loyal" since they paid twice for the game I know alot of people say I'm not paying twice for the same game, IDK, I paid $80 for the special edition for Xbox 360 and another $60 for Xbox One ( was hoping for another special edition/limitied edition for current gen but sadly that wasn't the case ) and I'm pretty happy.Loyal does not mean sucker, a bit of confusion there and it's thrown around like crZy.

Yeah I'm fully aware of what I did. I fail to see how that wouldn't make me a "loyal" person to Rockstar. Just wanted your take on that. I just found it odd you consider players that left last gen for current gen un loyal.

I have an xb1 and a 360, but there's no way I'm buying this game for new gen until I see what heists has to offer for old gen. Plus I thought there was a news release that said old gen was going to get some of the new vehicles, like the Dukes and dodo and whatever and that only the duke I' death was exclusive to new gen players.

 

Iirc that was gamespot and they admitted they missinterpreted what R☆ posted.

By buying the game again (at a higher price, mind you), you are financially supporting Rockstar, therefore you are loyal per definition.

Anyways, buying a companys products over and over again is loyalty. At least thats what Rockstar says. Also, I never quit playing GTA Online. I played on old gen in the morning, went to work, on the way home traded it in for a PS4, and continued later when I got home.

 

I have over 50 days of playtime, make use of socialclub everyday, and leave comments, support articles, etc on the regular. I'd say I show them the most loyalty by buying the second game. Thats just me though.

Terrible analogy. If you did it right you would have said you bought a movie on vhs or dvd, then bought the same movie on bluray or 3d.

 

Buying the same dvd twice is stupid unless you lost or broke it. Youre trying to imply one is stupid if they buy a game twice because its the exact same thing. Its the same game yes, just like a vhs can now be on bluray.

 

I ditched many vhs and now am ditching dvds. Im buying blurays. I prefer to spend money to upgrade even tho its so slight of a difference. I can see the difference. So do all the people who have also upgraded im sure, or they would turn around and ditch their ps4, xbones, and blurays to get ps3's, 360's, and vhs tapes.

Why would R* even care for last gen anymore, they make money from people getting the game again, a lot more than whatever money they would make from cash cards on last gen. As soon as heists release, R* will probably stop releasing more reskinned content to appease people, and will focus on large story mode dlc and things that it could justify making current gen and PC exclusive. Last gen will be left behind sooner or later, and it's already started.

In this case we are better off looking at Synonyms for supporting as the definition itself is not as aptly applied to Video Games. These include: Endorsing.

 

Those of us who are saying we are preferring the experience of PS4/Xbone over that on PS3/360 (the lack of Modders alone is worth it, let alone the extra content, significantly improved visuals and meaning I have a gaming system the latest games will soon only be released on) are actively endorsing the product (GTA V on PS4) and are therefore supporting R* in the process.

 

On Topic: No. Such a perk is not a perk unless it is remains exclusive.
