Who else wants a more serious gta for VI?

If I'm being honest, and a LOT of people will accuse me of wanting to turn GTA into saints row for saying this, GTA V took itself too seriously. Here's what I mean.

 

The game's satire is complete junk. Why? Because all of it tries to make a point, but doesn't go balls out crazy enough to make one. I mean, look at VCPR's Pressing Issues, where they had a nudist, a priest, and a housewife who teaches her kids to hunt on the show to discuss morality. Look at Just Or Unjust in GTA IV, where they fed a feuding couple to a god damn gladiator lion pit. And what does GTA V have? Look, this redneck likes football. Look, feminism is oppressing fernando! Look, lazlow cries on his radio show. Look, reality TV parodies! That'll prove we're down with the kids! Oh look, a racist version of power rangers! Oh look, lifeinvader! DO YOU GET IT IT'S FACEBOOK OH GOD PLEASE LAUGH!

 

It's all so toned down and restrained, and you can see every joke coming from a mile away. You don't expect a couple to be fed to a lion pit on a court show, that's what makes it funny. But what's on the right wing talk station in GTA V? Football loving redneck "Real Man" animal breeding expert. Paula deen but with even unhealtheir food. Conspiracy guy who exposes the illuminati and annunaki. No out of the ordinary conspiracies, just f*ckin' evil memory foam and them illuminati. I wouldn't be surprised if most of blaine county radio's script was found on The Colbert Report's cutting floor. How about the left wing station? Oh look, feminism is opressing fernando! Oh look, feminism is opressing lazlow! Please grant us cheap laughs for making cheap feminism jokes!

 

The social media sh*t in the game has to be the worst. Why? Because it relies on the worst stereotypes of people on social media. I think they wrote this one in their sleep. It was practically on autopilot. Look, here's the shallow teenage girl. Look, here's the shallow teenage boy. Here's those slice of life status updates you hate! LAUUUUUUUUUGH! Oh look, you get to kill the CEO! Surely now you should love us because we let you kill the ceo of faceboo- I mean lifeinvader!

 

The only unexpected sh*t in the game that did make me laugh was the marijuana side missions. Why? Well, I did them with michael first and then trevor second. So when frank comes along, the joke I won't spoil is better because it was well set up. I genuinely laughed at that. It relies a bit on stereotypes, but it wasn't worse for it.

 

The rest is just mean spirited and unpleasant. Like some purist priest complaining about these damn kids today with their facebook and their hip hop. It seems like they didn't really get to have fun with anything, and you can tell when you listen to it.

 

As for a more serious GTA VI, sure, just let me keep the minigun and don't take tanks, planes, and parachutes out again. Really, I'm easy to please like that. You could make the thing a god damn soap opera for all I care just as long as blowing sh*t up and skydiving is still fun. Peace.

[GTA-Biker]

I would like GTA 6 to be similar to GTA VC and VCS.They had mostly serious and crime based story,there wasn´t many silly unrealistic things(except maybe Tommy stealing a tank from a military convoy or Vic using a robot butler in 1984),but they were fun and still weren´t too dark and depressing.

Also,it should have some fun side activities from GTA SA,like gambling in casinos and betting shops,gang recruitment and gang wars,lowrider challenges,burglary...those side activities should replace the boring side activities like yoga,tennis and golf from GTA 5.

I also wish the story would be set in the past,maybe 70s,80s,90s or early 2000s.Present day is getting very boring,especially as a GTA setting.I don´t want to have hipsters,paranoid conspiracy theorists,reality shows,social websites,non stop celebritiy references and other forced parodies of present day stuff in a video game,there´s enough of that in real life.

This one is just my personal wish,but if they make multiple protagonists in GTA 6 again,I would like one of them to be a member of The Lost MC or maybe some other biker gang or at the very least an unaffiliated motorcycle enthusiast.I know that Johnny Klebitz from GTA TLAD was an outlaw biker,but TLAD had a very short story and I think they could show more of the outlaw biker world,and besides that there were some other types of criminals featured in more than one game(Tommy Vercetti and Toni Cipriani were both mafia members,CJ and Franklin were both street gang members,Claude and Niko Bellic were both hitmen...)

I want a serious and dark story for the next GTA but please keep the humor without it GTA wouldn't feel the same. It's funny seeing how wacky the world is compared to ours. What they should do is try to recapture the classic humor they had V's jokes weren't funny at all. I liked the subtle hidden ones in IV like the Clocktower and memory lanes logo in IV and the 3D era's humor was legendary.

 

I wish they would go back to making ridiculous commercials similar to this

I'm tired of all the "funny jokes" that were featured in V, I mean, do they seriously have to place an obvious penis every street corner? I miss the series original humor, and how it was subtle and not shoved in front of your face.

With the minigun problem, we can have it to where if you buy a big enough house (under the impression that we can actually buy houses) Anyway, in this house, we can have a place where weapons are stored. You can switch out the weapons you want. Then, it'll be semi-realistic, where you only carry a few guns, but won't upset the other side too much since you still own the weapons.

People are not gonna be happy unless they are equipped better than the US Marine Corps. Assassin's Creed does exactly what you are recommending, and I love AC for it, but most GTAers want the "apocalypse in their pocket", to quote the late Michael De Santa. Personally, I would find the games so much more believable and challenging if I actually had to go to my safehouse or Ammunation to equip the appropriate weapon for the job at hand. Hell, if GTA ever gets the weapon physics right, I could beat the entire game with the pistol. Unfortunately though, the handguns in GTA are obsolete after the first few missions.

Going to the safehouse or open the trunk of your car and take out some heavy artilery would be alot more believable than drawing the rocket launcher out of thin air.

Also for the weapon damage. As Alpha already said, if R* would for once get the weapons done right and at least few steps closer to real life weapons, then we wouldn`t need no combat MG`s, miniguns or assault shotguns because the 9 mm pistol would be more then enough. Just like in rl. In rl you can easily kill someone with 1 single well placed 9mm round. Even more if the bullet is hollow point.

So why in GTA this has to be some pathetic toy?

They have the heavy weaponry because people enjoy it and they enjoy causing destruction and chaos. Nobody is forced to use the heavy weapons.

What i Want for GTA6:

 

- Huge map, AT LEAST three times bigger than V's map.

- At least three big cities, all within the size of V's Los Santos or bigger, but each one with their own features.

- More interiors, GTA V had less interior areas than GTA IV.

- Multiple protags with one of them a female character.

- More options to customize weapons & cars.

- a BIG main history campaign, much bigger than V's, a middle ground between IV and San Andreas would be the ideal.

- More politically incorrect options of side activities, like gambling, drug trafficking, option to be a pimp and manage your own whorehouse etc.

- Mantain the more serious approuch of storyline (forget Saint's Row style, that sucks, for f*cks sacke)

- Expanded sea exploration, adding a bigger underwater world to explore, option to handle submarines and bigger ships

- If possible, make the single-player be playable in online co-op mode, with three players controlling each one of the protags, making through storyline together, it would be awesome!

I like your ideas but they should also have the big guns available, even though they should make them less practical. If you want a God mode or fast reloads, carrying infinite weapons etc. then there should be cheats for all those things, but make the normal gameplay realistic.

Why not a more darker theme for GTA VI, GTA VII, GTA VIII, GTA IX, GTA X, GTA XI, GTA XII, and all GTA's to come, people would love it! And that's why I recommend it so it gets darker every game, with no signs of sunshine, happiness, and all that, and only include: a darker city, only dark humor, no good things happens in the plot and all that. People would love to see that! They'll get an orgasm as they start the game! Unlike V, where people's dick go limp as soon as they start the game.

i've seen more people liking the light-hearted tone of V, IV gets dismissed for being too dark, i must have played TLAD like 3 times, TBOGT like 9 times and IV like 12 times aprox., TLAD has the least ammount because i don't enjoy the pessimistic tone of the story mode, overrall people don't enjoy an excessive darkness, i'm not saying why have to go more sunny than V, but if we go darker than TLAD, IMO it would be a very unenjoyable game.

 

just saying that maybe most people like the good history of IV, not only the tone ,is not dark because it takes place on autumn, same with V not being so light hearted just because takes place in summer.
