Those who take their K/D deadly serious and even going as far to cheat and abuse every exploit and cheat in the book in order to maintain it or getting in a tank to farm innocents to artificially increase it? My own recent story happened not long ago. This guy was repeately killing me in a jet till I shot him down and put us both on an equal footing. Most of our fighting was through sniper duels, he never killed me once but if I managed to land a body shot on him and he knew he was gonna lose that fight he would try to kill himself to reset the battlefield and to prevent his death counting against his K/D and then come at me again. I countered this strategy by focusing on landing headshots as much as possible, cannot retreat to kill yourself if you die in one shot now can you? In response he of course fled back to Zancudo to get another jet, I quickly caught on to what he was doing and beat him to it, I let him get one himself and beat him in a duel of jets, he then went passive again. He even sent me a text calling me a bitch for refusing to let him get a second jet and I told him that was funny coming from a guy who kills himself when losing a gunfight to save his precious K/D and I then told him to just f*ck off, he quit after that. LOL If you got your own stories I would love to read them. Phantomspirit Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 A friend of mine has an 11KD and advertises the fact constantly in the crew,so now the whole crew have jumped on the bandwagon,in competition,a result of his constant boasting ,and anyone in free roam is consistantly targeted until they are driven out of the lobby. I'm not happy targeting players going about their own business,KD needs to be got rid of in the game,or there should be battle only lobbies for crews and like minded individuals. It really doesnt matter there is no advantage or disadvantage. We have all seen low rank-low kd players be skilled. And the opposite is true, get a pilot out a jet and on the ground, he becomes a sitting duck. There is too many ways too boost KD. I know mine is legitimate, but thats just me. I never check it, time to time. I think what makes you good at GTA is really as simple as being a good teammate and not being naive. Leave them too it and if you don't agree find some people who agree with you. Personally I don't know what my KD is and it doesn't bother me I can't honestly remember the last time I either killed or was killed and it wasn't an accident, don't get a lot of it in the car meets! Zorvaine Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) I remember back in October, someone made a thread on these very forums saying that only those with a high K/D should be allowed to do missions, deathmatches etc. Even being able to buy weapons. That K/D should be the main requirement in this entire game. The thread did not last long. That battle only lobby idea is a good one. But trolls will join free roam lobbies and kill everyone, just to be d bags. Then it may have less trolls/people looking for easy kills I dunno?. I mean there will still b d.bags etc in free roam but at least you would know that your k/d wont go down or up. I also don't commit suicide as seeing my character poison or shooting himself makes me cringe. But haven't you guys considered the fact that some people have high K/D's because they're just good at not dying? That's me since I almost always the guy with the least deaths in matches. mysteriousamg Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Not really important but i have a habit of looking at peoples kd ratio in lobbies based on their rank level. If i see a 120 or higher with a high kd up to 5.00 then i will take them serious and bring my A game if we get into a battle. JoshD4PreZ Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) I know exactly what you mean OP, I actually had a guy with an 11.75 k/d come at me for no reason last night after I got done a mission, killed me 4 times while I was trying to get to my vehicle, so when I finally got him back 1 time with my carbine rifle, I switched to passive so I could finally go to LSC. After that I got a few messages about how that kill made my "scrub 2.04 k/d go up a point wowww" which didn't really make any sense so i messaged back that I forgive him, I understand that he is legally blind, and left him know this is grand theft auto, not call of duty."
