Elder Maxson
When playing "Dry Docking", players who take the boat will normally navigate to the marina by going around the coast of the airport, which would take some time. However, when I did this mission with a friend, he went a different route. Instead of going around the airport, my friend went into this storm drain that connected the seaport district to the marina. The boat was able to go in the river, and it made the mission a little quicker. For a helpful reference, look at the map guide i made below. RED - The long airport route that players would normally take. GREEN - The storm drain shortcut that my friend discovered. luisniko, TheNarrative, shadyelf and 5 others

Sangers
I have a better shortcut.... one person goes for the boat before the others crack the safe. Wait til the boat is delivered before finishing the safe. luisniko, Maxxi, jtet37 and 1 other

Wait til the boat is delivered before finishing the safe. Now, see, this is probably the smartest way to do it. Soran Is On
Or grab the boat with a cargobob and lift it there. But yes taking the drainage system is not only fast but kinda bad ass. shadyelf, Mr. Crowley and BLACK DYNAM1TE

CrazyHandz
Why would you use a shortcut if missions pay more for taking longer? Just wondering. BLACK DYNAM1TE, Mottershead, Elder Maxson and 1 other

But you get more profit if you quickly finish a job and quick-join another one instead of taking 5 minutes just for an extra $1000. Maya Echo Visari
Why would you use a shortcut if missions pay more for taking longer? Just wondering. Eh.. I think if you complete missions faster, it's more profitable in the long run. 'Suppose taking your time with missions isn't so bad if you weren't grinding at the moment and just nitpicking at your Job List from time to time. Hyperglide
Nothing new at all but at least you were helpful for some who probably didn't. I always take the short route. Sangers and BLACK DYNAM1TE
A Maned Wolf
Why would you use a shortcut if missions pay more for taking longer? Just wondering. Because this mission and some others are long enough due to the absurd spawning of the enemies. My record is 115 kills on the respawning mooks on the stairs. luisniko
Well. Sometimes we just can't see the better method in doing something. Like that last time, I saw my friend throw bunch of grenades and stickies just to finish Blow Up, while you can just actually drive the cars a little bit and make them sticking to each other before dropping a grenade. After that, people like to drive around to lose the cops while you can just hide in the tunnel before going to Simeon's which is just around the corner. punishthem420
Why would you use a shortcut if missions pay more for taking longer? Just wondering. Because no one wants to sit around and wait to finish a mission. The game is a game, we want to play the damn game not make it boring by waiting around for a couple extra g's . TheNarrative
Great find OP. A different route never occured to me. Why would you use a shortcut if missions pay more for taking longer? After 161 kills (solo) I just stopped.

BLACK DYNAM1TE
Yeah this is pretty old, but yes useful to some, so I will probably blow your mind with this one-- In the mission "Handle with Care"(same location and almost set up, but 2 boats are retrieved) Use the same route but keep straight ahead instead of taking the left through the LS drain, you will avoid all the enemies chasing you on the water. JC Hammer
This is one of the down sides of not being able to do missions with randoms anymore, a year ago all of these "best" methods we're known by 90% of the community because we taught them to each other thru our game play Now with most of us only playing with the same friends, things like this shortcut are being lost to the community There's a whole new group of players out there that probably actually use Ron's plane, go in the tunnel entrance, and don't know the drain shortcut, etc..... EW200
I do this mission with a friend and we use the long boat ride so one at a time we can each go AFK and get another beer, have a smoke, take a piss etc.

Also there's no advantage to finishing super quick anymore so people don't bother working out strategic ways to complete missions. These days I try to find a way to use my sniper rifle in every mission.
