We can no longer do the same mission twice in a row

Recommended Posts

I do not know if you've noticed, but it seems that Rockstar decided to prevent us to that we can not host a mission twice in a row.

When I finished the mission of Lester to steal Titan, I tried to host the mission a second time in the list of activities, but it was no longer available in the list for a while, and coincidentally this is the mission that brings me a lot of money..

You can still repeatedly host, just not from the mission choice screen post match. You just have to go through the menu system instead and invite those you recently played with IIRC. Not a new issue (or even an issue), just something to make people play other missions rather than spamming the crap out of RR for hours on end. Or in your case, TOAJ.

That's what I did, I went to the menu after joining a session and choosing the activities available in the list, I could not find the mission that I made recently.

I know it's practically just been explained but could someone explain in high detail what is actually happening in the mission selection screen.

My way of building money is basically playing random missions until I hit 200k each day and letting it build up. In the past few days I've replayed certain missions multiple times on the same day, a few days ago I remember playing Blow Up 2 3 times so what is happening here may well just be a bug similar to when Rooftop Rumble used to randomly dissappear from the selection screen.

Replaying the same mission over and over is monotonous and Rockstar should be taking measures to discourage it.

There are plenty of missions to play that give you similar payouts instead of the same old sh*t.

IMO, Rockstar should limit each mission play to once per in-game day, its unrealistic doing the same job for someone 3 million times in a row anyway

I believe OP is actually talking about the menu system you are suggesting.

If that is the case, R* are hitting new lows.

why should they discourage people from playing the missions they "like"?

as a company the only thing they should care is that people are still playing their game, not that a % of people play the same mission over and over again.

that shouldnt bother no one.

If this were the case, the payouts would have to be drastically increased.

Personally, I like the idea of this. Because it actually makes me motivated to play missions daily.

I'll worry about how monotonous my gaming experience is, thank you.

That would discourage people from playing missions all together.

Once a day. LOL

Many real life jobs require the employee to do the same sh*t over and over daily for many years.

Right, because this game's number one concern is realism.

Just earlier today I shot some cops in my neighborhood, but I hid in a bush and they couldn't find me. As I was walking home from that, I got run over by a car and died. Fortunately, I had my respawn point set to my house, and I respawned on my couch and here I am telling the story. All in real life, just like the game.

Rockstar would happily welcome you to the GTA Online department....

Just Rockstar Games thing.

High percentage of Like in low paying jobs = OK

High percentage of Like in high (in their term) paying jobs = Not OK

But they found out that some players were still having "fun" and that cannot be allowed. :p

All I'm saying is this is what ruined the gaming experience for me, all people ever wanna do is replay the same old mission again and again, all the while races and deathmatches which are actually fun to replay remain empty (albeit probably more due to server/matchmaking issues, but nonetheless not helped by everyone grinding RR).

Yeah you say as a company that is all they should care about, but we've seen time and time again that harmless fun has been eradicated by R*, not being able to store emergency vehicles, interiors closed etc. Their main concern should be the number of people playing their game, but we all know their real concern is the number of people buying you know what.

We should be encouraged to be more adventurous and explore the variety of high-paying missions they've put time and effort into making, that's just my view because I got bored, if you don't get bored by grinding then more power to ya.

Although I'm not disagreeing with your real world logic in that statement, I am going to point out that you are applying it to a video game. Honestly, if my actual job made me kill 25 trained mercs and then steal several million dollars worth of military hardware "over and over daily for many years", I would seriously reconsider my life choices.

That being said, it is REALLY fun to kill 25 trained mercs and then steal several million dollars worth of military hardware.....

The Replay option was disabled as part of the early updates after Online was launched in 2013. Can't say I've had this problem if the same mission has appeared in the list of missions offered. You can always go back to freeroam and load up any mission from there.

I reckon it was just a random error you encountered.
