The annoying people on missions....

Recommended Posts

You guys know the ones, they invite you to a job, for example, Rooftop Rumble, they try to kill whoever else is in the mission in their chrome Zentornos, then send you crappy messages if you get the briefcase before them.

Why do these people exist? More to the point, why are they allowed in decent peoples missions?

And as for taking long to deliver the objective, for an extra maybe $7,000 you're going to make us all wait? Why? What does it achieve?

Just for this alone, I now destroy chrome Zen's on sight, don't get me started on reverse kills, although, it's a lot more pleasing now sending a homing rocket to them ;)

Anyways, what's the worst you've ever had to put up with?

Retired Mafia

It's a f*cked up world you know...

I allmost never do missions with randoms, but you've gotta hate the guys who call in their own buzzard in the mission Chop Chop. And then misunderstand the mission and blow up all the buzzards, and die. Causing us to drive to the objectives, take a lot of cover, and waste a lot of time..

Some people need to read the objective, it's not allways "blow everything up you see"

Lol people take out everything on the Zentorno, I'm gonna have to get me one of those.

OP some people are just genuinely bad at the game or they're not sure what they're doing (guilty) but for some people it's like a tradition to sabotage co op game modes for their own amusement, I remember people doing this in GTA IV. It's considered a noble art from to some and they will document their experiences for posterity

Started last christmas when the kids got the game from mommy& daddy. Also the billions being handed out kinda ruined the incentive to complete missions.

The game had 2 months where you could play with randoms and co-operate on missions, survivals etc..

It's been a Troll fest for a long time now.

Mission 1:

I was doing 'A Titan of a Job' with 2 randoms the other day. Annoyingly, the host launched the mission from Sandy Shores but no bother, lets just get on with it. Random1 jumps in a buzzard and starts flying down towards the airport. I jump in a car and get driving. Almost immediately the notification 'random2 has committed suicide' pops up... Well there goes the spare team life. Then 20 secs later the same notification again. This idiot then sits on his backside while we complete the job.

I don't usually get riled by the AFK mission numpties but the fact that this mong saw fit to waste the team life as well irked me. I cant remember my original message but his response was:

My car was spawned a mile away. I stole a car which then got stuck, then my helicopter got stolen. Forgive me for giving up on the mission.

My reply: "things didnt go my way so i sat with my thumb up my arse like a petulant child" - good work.

Mongs reply: this is a game. Not work. Its supposed to be fun.

Really? So how much fun were you having watching us do the mission? Why not quit and have fun elsewhere?

These mission mongs are a cancer on this game. Just petulant, sulky children determined to get fictional $$$ by doing nothing and/or wasting our free time by camping outside Madrazos house with 'the briefcase' etc to get a bit more money. Do the maths kid. Do another mission.

Mission 2:

Another guy launched 'RR' and decided he would be AFK while I did the entire mission. So after running the twat over, he jumps in his Zentorno and heads to the car park. Great. Has he decided to play? Nope. Just driving in circles around the car park while i do all the killing. The dickhead then zooms off to get the briefcase. I notice that he's shot the guy but opting against picking the damn thing up. In his infinite wisdom i can only assume he's deliberately stringing this one out for more fictional cheddar. So after a couple of mins i decided to head up there and get the ball rolling again.

I arrive on the scene and pick up aforementioned briefcase. Time for some revenge you AFK, time wasting f*ck.

I then proceed to drive around the entire map a couple of times. Climb on some rooftops while flipping the bird. He's chasing me everywhere and telling me to drop the case off to finish the mission. But nah. It took about 30 mins for him to eventually 'rage quit' but it was worth it.

"Maybe you'll think twice before trying to waste someones free time"

Adios

i had a simular thing happen to me a while back in rr, i got the document and i got into my car and started to drive down the great ocean highway to paleto bay to max out the payout, and (i think it was the host) sent me a in game message basically asking what i was doing, i wrote back telling i was maxxing out the payout, and he basically gets pissed and tells me to do the payout glitch, which i ignored, he raged quit!

It's considered a noble art from to some and they will document their experiences for posterity

It is about as much a noble art as banging your head on a tambourine: practically everybody can do it without any effort whatsoever and at best it is annoying for everybody involved. Well, but for those kids it's probably challenging enough since they are so "special".

A similiar one to that, also involved us being spawned at Sandy shores. Lola didn't have a car out so jacked a Seminole, one guy got in with her while the other two shot off in a sports car. This guy with her was about level 15 and shot at every NPC on the way, causing them to panic and often crash into us. Rather annoyed by this I hatched a master plan. When we jumped into the airport, I spotted where the other two players were and were crouched behind their car. The Seminole was sent full speed towards the hangar and Lola bailed last second, hitting the side of their car to stop her slide. Low level random ended up sailing into the hangar still in the car where the AI did their worst and shot him dead.

Great moment

it's annoying when someone blows up my pv for no reason, it's like they're saying "hey! i'm an asshole, shoot me"!

had one these gobsh*tes the other night. i rarely set vehicle access to everyone but when you spawn into a mission where players need a lift to the objective you kinda have to. i let this prick drive to the objective (which completely ruined the paint, windows and headlghts of my Sultan) then he and his mate sticky bomb the Sultan before walking down toward the meth and bikers.

5 minutes later all 3 were dead and messaging me asking what i was doing. my reply "i'm walking to Mors to get my car back." they didn't spectate for very long and certainly didn't get paid.

Arrows to Athens

They want to goof off with the document. One guy demanded that I do NOT deliver it so we can attain a higher $ reward. I delivered it and he called me a son of a bitch in Portguese (I looked it up).

When these kind of goons get hold of the document they tend to camp outside Madrazo's house in their car. Rockstar needs to make it so that anyone can deliver the document by simply hitting the yellow marker. This is possible in Los Santos Connection so why not for any other mission that involves the delivery of a document or whatever?

Assholes shooting out My PV's tires (or trying to, since my tires are of course bulletproof) at mission start . I'm mad at this because what a scummy thing to do.

i hate the ones that host missions and don't do sh*t, so I kill them by running em over in my supper car for trying to pimp me out for work

Fixed and fixed*

you left out the part where i fail the mission on purpose

I've more or less given up on doing missions with randoms for a whole raft of reasons - and pretty much all of them are down to lack of team work, etiquette or just plain f*cking dickhead knobishness.

The list includes -

Randoms getting into my passenger seat and either f*cking with my radio, or shooting for the sake of getting heat (last one that messed with my radio found themself getting ejected from my Turismo at top speed, on the highway, only to get mown down by another random flying past me in a Zent.

Idiots deciding to just run everyone else over, just so that they can make a mission longer, and then wasting time in the hope that the ones they killed would quit.

Buzzard cretins deliberately destroying PVs - nowt worse than going to use your PV as cover, only to see the damned thing cartwheel away in a burning twisted hulk of metal.

Time wasting idiots refusing to make the drop to finish a mission.

And there are others.

Once I got an idiot using the rocket launcher EVERYWHERE. Forgot which mission I met this kid. Next one was Deal Breaker I believe. Anyway, obviously, he literally blew everything up, even the f*cking package.

Shouldn't left. Following an user's advice (Chloroform?) I should've restarted the mission and ran over his ass and kill him. Then proceed to throw the Jerk/The Bird gesture on his ass until he rage quit.

Seen these type before. Was doing Rooftop Rumble last weekend with my 2nd toon, I got the briefcase before this tryhard did. So this douche, who was in a Entity, kept ramming my car and shooting out my tires (low level char so I didn't have any performance mods or bulletproof tires yet on this one). So I ended up having to jack another car so I could call my mechanic for a car I have with Bulletproof tires. During this period he kept shooting my tires and ramming my car. And this was all before I went to his car to let him drive me to Madrazo's.

If you were going to go through all the trouble of ramming me and shooting me why would you not just pick me up and take me? People just like to grief in this game that's what you have to learn to deal with.

I had someone blow up my Rusty Rebel on Chemical Extraction. I was at the end of the mission waiting and I stood on top of my Rebel and was doing the thumbs up emote Guy gets the Van to the end and someone blew up my Rebel just before the mission ended. Like what the hell was the point of that?

See no sense in trying to justify being a team player or a good guy in this game ppl just like to be dicks. Mostly 15 year old pimple faced squeakers too. Or annoying twats who talk over headsets and forget to put there sh*t on party chat, so you have to listen to there conversation or take the 5 seconds to squelch them.

On topic:

An asshole sticky bombs an enemy car while driving my car and doesn't take distance to blow the car, blowing us both and my car. Later I got my revenge on that scum.

Another guy runs over me while I'm taking cover. Then I destroy the RV that we're supposed to steal on purpose.

My patience with randoms is very small.

They exist because of poor parenting. They are allowed to play because they have internet, a console and a copy of the disc

worst I put up with is someone blowing up my gold zentorno at the beginning of rooftop rumble as we all ran for our cars

Blowing up someones car you never played with before ON SIGHT makes YOU the sh*tty teammate. It makes you subject to getting rammed and pitted off the road until you deliver said briefcase, assuming you don't get run down trying to pick it up. And if I got it first, you might as well quit because I'm not going to deliver it. Know why? because you either blew up my car/ran me down for no reason other than someone hurt you in the past, or sent me a stupid msg. There is plenty to do around the house while I afk
