(Patch Bypass) Change Player Model/Bodyguards with No Modded Console

Confirmed working on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

The patch bypass is to delete all title updates/patches/DLCs before doing this glitch.

Change Player Model Portion of Glitch:

1. Save a game as Michael.
2. Load the save game with the GTA V Save Editor.
3. Edit Franklin into any modded character using Ped Editor.
4. Now edit Amanda into that SAME modded character you chose for Franklin.
5. Load up that save game in GTA V and call Amanda and hang out.
6. After dropping off Amanda, exactly after a second or so, use your character wheel and switch to Franklin.

Now you should be your modded character!

Bodyguard Portion of Glitch:

1. As your modded character by follwing the steps above, go to Ammu-Nation to give him some weapons and armor that you would like. If you don't give him any weapons, he will be unarmed.
2. Go somewhere on the map where you will remember, I recommend going into Franklin's Apartment and going somewhere where he will stay put.
3. Now switch to Michael or Trevor and drive there, but DON'T get too close to where modded Franklin is.
4. Once you are somewhat close, switch to modded Franklin and move around a bit, (so the bodyguard doesn't freeze) and switch back to Michael/Trevor.
5. Go up to Modded Franklin and he will ask to hang out, and you have a bodyguard!

 

What do bodyguards in GTA V do?

• Protect you from police or anyone harming you.
• Follow you everywhere, even into cars.
• Take cover when near something.
• Say things like, "Take cover!", "I got your back!".
• Holster and draw weapons when the player does.

Missions where Bodyguards Can be Achieved:

"The Long Stretch"
You can change Stretch or Lamar into any pedestrian using Ped Editor and they will follow you in that mission, but if one of them dies (they are both weak), the mission restarts. Lamar wields a Pistol and Shotgun while Stretch wields just a Pistol. If you reach the checkpoint where you steal the guy's car to escape, the two bodyguards will have infinite health, and if you die just press retry and you will go back to the two bodyguards.

"Hood Safari"
Switch Lamar into any pedestrian and Trevor if you would like to be another pedestrian, and follow Lamar while playing as Trevor when you are escaping with the speedboats, even though he says split, just follow him. Once you land on shore, he will start following you with an AK47 and Micro SMG, with TONS OF HEALTH.

"Lamar Hangout"
The fastest and most easiest bodyguard is that you can just change Lamar into a modded character and hang out with him. That type of bodyguard only uses his fists though, so no point against the police, so maybe just beating up other people.

"Chop"
When Lamar puts Chop inside the back of the van, you want to drive your van away from Lamar and then get out and he will start following you. Now re-enter the van and exit again after you get the yellow destination. Lamar will have a pistol and help you out against Police or anybody else that fights Franklin like what Chop does instead you have a gangster with a gun. I recommend you change Lamar's skin into G_M_Y_FamDNF_01 so you can gang bang with a Families gang member! Also, you must be near Lamar's van or the mission will result into a failure and you have to restart it, as long as you are near the white van, you can go anywhere you please. Also, Lamar has a great amount of health!

I also have MANY more methods of achieving bodyguards, especially an infinite health bodyguard with a pistol, but it is kinda tedious, but if you want me to post it, just say so. Edited February 8, 2015 by jedijosh920

It works on any firmware, you just have to delete all the patch updates for the game.

Not working for me. I removed all my patches and I call amanda, pick her up and see the new model. After I drop her off It wont let me switch to franklin. or use my cell phone.

Woop, I have GTA 5 for the PS3. I didn't do much and haven't played since 2013, so was wondering, will it work out for me? since it's been so long since I played it, no patches ofc thankssssss

If Amanda doesn't want to hang out, commit suicide (in-game) and keep doing that until she accepts a hang out request.
