Will the last gen content eventually be available for newcomers ?

Recommended Posts

It would be actually wrong to double milk the customers, also I want the Xero Blimp, Dukes and the awesome and classical Dodo(As Rustler was removed boooh).

And are the collectors edition content coming BTW ?

Like the Hotknife and that bike, will they be available for PC players ?

Forgot about that Rail Gun.

TheDeathRises

Collectors Edition content will be available on PC to buy with InGame money. If you bought the CE for PS3 or X360, you will get it for free just like previously.

The Returning Player bonus will eventually be made available by mods, at least for SP, but don't expect it to work in MP.

I doubt it. The pre-order content never became available on the old gen consoles for people who never pre-ordered, doubt the "loyalty" rewards will be made available to everyone.

Oh then f Rockstar, slowly becoming like EA, so what these people bought it twice, they would get good graphics as a reward, if Rockstar is giving them these rewards and not for us it should be only in singleplayer or for everybody.

This "thiefery" must end

Or make it paid on online and give them free.

f*ck dude, get that sand out of your vagina, it's not the end of the world. Good graphics ain't a reward mate, everybody gets those. If they didn't give anything, double buyers would be like "f*cking Rockstar, double dipping on us and not giving us anything for buying the game twice." Either way, bitches be bitchin'.

I wish Rockstar were like EA. Then their games would become mediocre and they'd overcharge for DLC, sure, but at least we'd get the games at the same time the peasants do, and they'd be decently optimized.

Anyway, old-gen console owners should be rewarded. They are buying the game twice after all, if not three times. But by not giving us the option to at least buy the content separately they are essentially punishing us for not owning a console.

If Rockstar were like EA, GTA would be a yearly franchise with focus on multiplayer and a 4 hour story campaign shoved in there somewhere. We'd have 17 guns that are all essentially the same except for the looks and for 50€ you could buy premium, which basically gives you 5 maps and 2 new vehicles that no one gives a sh*t about. Rockstar surely has a sketchy business practice, but at least they give a sh*t about their games. And decently optimized? Have you ever taken a look at Max Payne 3? That bloody game is praised as one of the best ports ever. And please refrain from calling console players peasants outside of the subreddit, we want to keep the circlejerk there.

Yep, they could give them more money, and all the last gen content for free, and charge us.

We get everything later and those pesky kids are given preferencial treatment.

What the actual f*ck are you on about? Please be clearer in your phrasing as I did not understand who you mean by "them". CG players? Double buyers? I think you mean double buyers, but I'm not sure.

Those who playd it on console, dont need more Money, Since they transfere their account with any car sale bugs these guys and Girls already have all cars, and about 20-50 million in their account.

I like how people are complaining about Rockstar not giving New Gen players enough. No one is forcing you to buy the game right away at full price. You can simply wait for a price drop. I'm not complaining about the $60 price on PC for a 1+ year old game that I bought in 2013. Just the replay-ability is worth my $60, plus i got free money and a game.

Double Buyers. Give them more money or the LG content for free and make us pay for it.

I hate to break it to you, but Rockstar is already focusing more on multiplayer than singleplayer, most weapons do feel pretty much the same, and the campaign... well I'm not sure exactly how long it takes to beat it, but seeing as I can beat the GTA San Andreas campaign in 6 hours and it features twice as many missions, I think your 4 hour theory refers to another potential improvement.

Also, EA's top titles aren't yearly titles. Quite the contrary, most of them (The Sims series, Dragon Age Inquisition, Titanfall, etc) took longer to develop than GTA V did.

Aye, they do. Just not the PC versions.

Only EA games I know that feature that Premium service you're talking about are Battlefield 3 and 4. And I scout Origin frequently for freebies.

Yes by the so called "journalists" at IGN and GameSpot. The same ones that gave Mass Effect 3 9/10 and wouldn't know PC games if they were forced to live at Valve for 10 years.

First of all, being well optimized does NOT make it a good port. You can easily make a game unplayable by f*cking up the controls or making it rely on an unwanted service like Games For Windows Live... oh wait.

Second, have YOU played any other Rockstar game besides Max Payne 3? Yes it was well optimized (I guess), but pretty much every other post-GTA III game was horrendously unoptimized.

And third, Max Payne 3 actually features the kind of crap DLC and Premium / Season Pass rip-off you were talking about. So whoever sold you that tip took you for a sucker.

Let me give you a good one: Next time you try to make a point, jump off the bandwagon and come up with your own arguments.

What about the exclusive in-game content I originally received for purchasing the PS3 or Xbox 360 Special Edition or Collectors Edition last year? Will I be able to access that content on PS4, Xbox One or PC?

Yes, if you purchased the Special Edition or the Collector’s Edition last year, when you upgrade to one of the new systems, you will automatically have those items unlocked and accessible. Those in-game bonuses include the Stunt Plane Trials, Bonus Outfits and Tattoos, and the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer all for Story Mode use; as well as the Custom Classic GTA Parent Characters and the high-end Khamelion electric car for GTA Online. Furthermore, if you missed out on your chance to buy a CE or SE the last time around, we will also make all of that content available for all players on PS4, Xbox One and PC to earn and acquire with in-game cash (original SE and CE owners will not have to spend any in-game cash to obtain them, they will automatically be accessible upon upgrade).

Took me like 20 seconds...
Use your brain for once and look something up instead of relying on others thatjust post up what they think is right.

As for the Duke, Dodo, Railgun and hatchet etc they are part of the returning players pack so its for multiplatform master race.

The GTA V Story took me 25 hours to complete and I rushed through it doing only 2 Strangers and Freaks mission. You can get through SA in 6 hours? I played through that bloody game over 30 times and I couldn't complete it in a single day! Focusing more on multiplayer? Only in the point where they're interacting with the fans. You know, those kind of things that are only possible in multiplayer.

The Sims only counts as not being yearly because they throw out an overpriced expansion pack every now and then. Okay, I give you Dragon Age. Titanfall isn't a series, so of course it's not yearly.

I never took Max Payne 3 as an example of DLC, only as an example of a bloody good port. Just like butter is healthier than margarine but f*cking hard to spread when you've just taken it out of the fridge.

And everybody who played Max Payne 3 and every reviewer on YouTube said that it's a bloody good port.

And as a matter of fact, I played all of the GTA games. I don't have any problems with Vice City and the only problem I had with SA is that the physics engine broke when I went above 30FPS. Sure, it's sh*t but when you f*ck up an engine it's f*cked up and unless you rewrite the whole thing it's not gonna be fixed. And it also depends what team is working on it. GTA V for example has the Max Payne 3 team working on it.

And, yes, I was too f*cking lazy to do proper quotes, but I DON'T CARE!

TIP: If you're gonna bring up arguments, make sure I can't disprove most of them.

Oh well I wonder how will online be like with those guys running amuk with railguns hahaha

Did you even read your own thread?

Railgun, dodo. "deathduke", and the new sub are ONLY FOR SINGLE PLAYER...

and the CE crap is available for in game cash....

Surely the Returning Players Content only requires a Game Save (Verified by linking your PSN or Xbox Live ID's to the R* Social Club) that has past the Prologue of GTA V for PS3/360...

Can you not just borrow a Friend's Copy, Link your PSN/Xbox Live ID to the R* Social Club and pass the Prologue?

Then Link your PC Version to the R* Social Club?

Aside from the fact that R* removed money obtained by glitching

Money glitched from Car Sales has never been removed. Anyone who claims otherwise is making up stories.

Now if you end up in the Cheater's Pool, your money will go irrespective of how you earned it.

Off topic, but I agree with this. It's the type of thing that makes PC gamers seem like a bunch of elitists because of our gaming platform preference.

I think the rail gun is singleplayer only.

Umm, why? You only paid once for the game, whereas we double/triple dippers paid twice/thrice for the game. We deserved the extra content.

Not trying to be rude, but people who has only purchased the game once DID NOT deserve the extra content, nuff said.

Honestly, every single person who purchases the PC version should get all of the returning player content for free, regardless if they're actually returning or not.

Why? Because it's not particularly fair to assume that PC GTA players would be "returning" from a console GTA environment. At least not in the same way the 360/PS3 crowd did.

I think the whole returning player thing makes perfect sense for consoles, but not for PC. Because we never actually got a game to return to. It was never on the platform to begin with. So the "loyalty" rewards fall flat in name.

Adding onto that is the fact that the PC version's delays, both internal and public, have been quite numerous. Is it really fair to lock off content after so long? Does it even matter? I don't think so. I mean heck, even Ubisoft used to release all their console exclusive content (usually Playstation) on PC, presumably because a lot of their PC releases were always delayed. Why can't Rockstar just do the same?

Truthfully though, I wouldn't mind that much if some of this "returning player exclusive" content wasn't just stuff that was in past GTAs. Stuff that could easily be dropped in with no restrictions. The Dukes, the seaplane. It's just annoying to have those locked off all of a sudden.

That would make a lot of sense, Xerukal. Also, obtaining the extra content would be in my opinion be compensation for us, in regards to the delays of our version. :)

What about the Atomic blimp and Shark Card money, are they transfer as well?

Shark Cards only transferred in Console families so I find it highly unlikely it will Transfer to PC (unless R* have directly stated otherwise). CE Content will carry over (and be available to everyone).

Also @Xerukal

I will probably never get the PC Version (have for PS3/PS4) and fully support your idea since IMO, PC should have been released with PS3/360. Not delayed more than 4 months past the PS4/Xbone Release...Seems like a reasonable form of compensation for releasing the game on PC some 18 months after the games Initial Release.
