How do I get the 'common.rpf' file for modding? (PS3)

This is for GTA5.

So I have a mod I wish to use, and the notes read:

"Copy 'common.rpf' from ./GameID/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/
Open it in LibertyV and delete 'southpaw.meta' from /data/control/
Import the new 'southpaw.meta'
Save as.. 'common.rpf' and copy it back on to your PS3.
Select the Southpaw controls in game."

How exactly do I "Copy 'common.rpf' from ./GameID/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/"? Can anyone give me a step-by-step instruction? Is there a file I have to copy from the PS3 to the USB? I have LibertyV and have watched tutorials on youtube but it assumes you have this 'common.rpf' file on the PC to get going but how do I get it?

And, once I followed the notes above, how to I copy the common.rpf file back to the PS3 (if it's not the reverse method of getting it in the first place)?

I've never done modding before but want to use this one, thanks
