Dead server / Ghost players

So i was a xbox 360 player then i moved over onto ps4 and I've noticed some differences lately with next gen

 

Everytime i join a lobby, even a full one. Its dead, Id say usually half of the players are just standing still doing nothing and theres nothing happening.
It also seems like ps4 players are a lot worse then xbox players.

 

Is anyone else server for this? is online just a bit dead at the moment or is it the influx of new players with the next gen/christmas period?

Sorry if this is a bit pointless, just wondered what everyone else experience's were like atm.

Well my game is fine.

 

I honestly have no idea how all that connection and server stuff works, but consider setting up your internet connection correctly and manually in the PS4 settings, if you already haven't done that.
