Can't Play Gta Online ( Timed Out Locating A Session )

Had all these problems from day one on Xbox one,don't expect rockstar to ever sort it out bigest piece of crap I've ever tried to played.

I have sent well over 100 emails to R* support, with respect to this issue - Unknown Network Error in any lobby containing 10 or more people. Every email back to me (usually a 5 day lag to get back to me), basically blamed my system, with instructions of opening ports, setting my NAT type to Open, uninstalling and re-installing the game and trying other crazy remedies. I have complied with all of their crazy requests to no avail.

All of my friends playing the game have the exact same issue, as we talk about it on PS4's Party Chat feature.

When we all do races, we have no issues at all. When we go to a lobby with 10 or more people, we get an Unknown Network Error within 5 mins of being in the lobby.

This is 100% a Rockstar issue!!!! Whether it be crappy coding / programming and/or the match-making engine that is flawed. To illustrate my point, if there is an issue with the Rockstar cloud servers, one will get the Saving Failed notice. This alone shows that you are not playing on their servers, but as a peer-to-peer on someone else's system. You can still play the game when there is an issue with their server not saving. When I get that issue - I can play for a very long time, without getting the Unknown Network Error. Once it begins saving again (SAVE SUCCESSFUL), and the lobby is 10 or more people - Unknown Network Error.

If the lobby is under 10 people, I can play for hours in that lobby. Once the lobby reaches that 10th person, at the point that something needs to upload to the Rockstar server - I will get an Unknown Network Error.

My network speed is fine for online gaming. I have completed all of the diagnostics that were requested by Rockstar Support with no issues found on my end.

The only way to get this fixed - everyone having the issue needs to call and email Rockstar support:

If everyone having this issue floods them with calls AND emails...they will will be forced to fix the issue, rather than being inundated with the calls and emails.

Don't jump through all of their hoops, as it it will NOT alleviate the issue at all. Again, it is their issue to fix, not yours!

HI I have the same issue, the 12/22/14 started it, and right now I can't play con Public lobbys, R* Support say that is us connection but not, I did everything and still without work. The Heists coming this March 10 and we can't play for this f***** problem I'm level 193, I play since 12/07/13 waiting the Heists and this issue spawn haha, f*** it. If you found a fix for this, please share it. PS3

OK, so the Heists Update happened. I had hoped there was a fix for being unable to join Publics.

 

There isn't. I'm still getting Timed Out.

This problem is not gonna get fixed. Because rockstar are outright idiots in terms of fixing bugs and improving their server. So enjoy your now useless GTA Online account and go wait for PC so you can play again,

Anyone know if it's fixed or better working yet? Right now GTAO is my only reason to renew Xbox Live and don't wanna waste $25.

 

The game suspension is the main issue, I have found that if i unplug the power cord from my XB1 after i "turn it off" to make sure it shuts down completely and then when i turn it back on the next time i'm able to get online in full lobbies with no issues.

 

Also right now there is a deal going on that you can get a 12 month membership for $40

 

That's not a good deal, considering all the Online/Offline problems going on!

 

It's like getting a discount on a brand new 4 cylinder car that has an engine with 2 pistons missing!

Just to let you know bumping your threads like this will get it locked, This is the support section people can just make a new thread if this one dies out so there's really no need to keep bumping it as it will eventually get locked if you keep doing it.

my problem is i can never join my friend's sessions regardless if i try to join on my own or they invite me. i didn't have this problem 2 weeks ago though. yet whenever i send them invites to do anything, they can join me with no problems. also anytime i start GTA V(XBOX 360), the game automatically logs me out of XBOX Live for some reason.

Holy f*ck this was never fixed. They closed my support ticket after like 20 + replies, but it wasn't a week. They gave up helping me and didn't bother fixing the issue .f*ck YOU ROCKSTAR...f*ck YOU.

Well I can't go on a Gta online session with players, I can only play solo, invite and such. I can play other games online on my ps3 and this problem has only occurred recently, I mean even just 2 days ago I was playing with no problem !

 

Update - Now heists are here and a update has happened I hope my problem would of have been fixed...But nope.
