The Drifting Corner

Recommended Posts

I love drifting muscles, know why? Because muscle cars in this game are set up in tiers. EG Tier One - Beginner: Gauntlet and similar cars. Tier Two - Novice : Vigero/Dominator. Then Tier Three - Expert: The Almighty Phoenix. First time driving a Phoenix I was all over the road. Now I drift it like a beauty.

Hey guys, I'm new here but I am looking to start a Touge/Drifting (Touge Spirit) crew. Here is a first video of the crew, more to come. If you want to join PM me here or message me on Xbox Live: Ace Ventura PI.

The track is "Initial D M.T. Akina" made by yours truly. It is also the Touge Spirit home course.

cool mate! im dropping you a FR.

sorry, there was no drifting in either video. powersliding is not drifting. i have a few initial d style courses. those do look pretty fun, but not the way the samplers were driving on it.

you can lower the sultan, just watch GTAWiseGuys vid on how to do it/how to lower other cars that blow up from center wheel method.

rapid gt is fun and all, but personally the best mountain drifters are (in order): ruiner, banshee, massacro, (im sure the phoenix and carbo are right here, but dont know personally), futo, rapid gt, etc.

trust me ruiner is ridic on mtn roads, banshee is the most powerful drifter in the game (lends itself more to longer drifts, but can rock ANYTHING). the massacro can actually drift at speed on mountain roads, not so much on flats. futo is fine, but too slow for mountain roads imo. use rain with futo. rapid gt is great too, but cant drop the gear as easily, therefore not drifting as much instead doing good powerslides.

My new 10 minute Drift Montage, enjoy!

nice slides, but theres no way im watching 10 minutes of you drifting. you may want to keep them to around 3 mins... i feel like unless there is some badass angles/transitions, anything over 3 minutes gets boring fast.

lookin great tho, solid schwartzer drifts, are you on ps4?

Yes, I'm on PS4.

And I don't make my videos to get a certain audience or obey standards, I just do what I love to do and share it with those who share the passion.

oh i didnt mean any offense by it man, do what you love and love to do it!

i just meant if your vids were closer to 3-4 mins ea, i would watch them start to finish. i just kind of skipped around your vid to see what youve got and see the skills. it was nice driving for sure!

anyway, if youre on ps4, look in to joining us! (this goes for any other ps4 members)

We are an active GTA:O drifting crew (active?! yes, active!) that pushes the limits on what GTA can do. We strive for true drifting techniques and can teach you how to do what we do! There are tons of haters in GTA:O that say you just simply cant drift in GTA. YOU CAN, AND WE CAN SHOW YOU HOW.

As a part of this crew, you can expect to learn all the techniques of drifting in free roam meets/tutorials/drift sessions, put them to work in the multitude of playlists and races we have, have car shows/meets, and be a part of a pretty awesome group of people. We definitely encourage the use of microphones, theres no excuse not to have one, as pretty much every pair of headphones has a mic on them these days. If you dont have one, dont be discouraged, but im sure you can go get a mic for less than $15 (USD).

So, JOIN US! Lets see those sideways slides!

Great thread. I had no idea the Schwartzers could drift that hard.

All this drift talk makes me want to go home and fire up the Futo (first car, kept it since day one)

I've been drifting for a while with my Sultan using a tool to "tweak" the handling.

There's a lot of fun to be had, all that car needs is a bit more power, lowered/stiffer suspension and a tiny bit more traction to follow the extra power and you have yourself a beast.

I find it very sad these results can only be obtained using "illegitimate" means...

I see two kinds of people in this thread.

"I drift in a parking lot."

and

"I am a touge enthusiast."

The guy saying the mountain touge runners weren't doing "it." Needs to check himself, were posting here because a touge thread would not be well received, so we are lumped in here. I enjoy drifting and touge but mostly drifting on touges. Either way if you don't know who Keiichi Tsuchiya is you don't belong in this thread.

Bit of a nonsense thing to say. I enjoy drifting and watching videos of other people drifting but don't have a clue who Mr Tsuchiya is. Am I doing something wrong? Should I destroy my computer?

Sick videos bro u deffinitly have some skill. I would love to meet up with some people on XboxOne for a big tandem sesh. And for the music as far as a drifting video edm is very fitting considering the JDM and drifting scene is all about edm

Patronising ****.

↑↑ bro, its a video game man. If I play call of duty, I dont need to know who the captains were in WW2. Why do we need to know this guy to drift in gta? Makes no sense.

You came into a drift thread, posted a video which contained a drifting track and proceeded to do no drifting whatsoever and then youre gonna be mad when people call you out on it? Come on man.

I'm not mad, I'm sad. Sad that so few understand Touge. It was not a "drifting track" as you so callously put it. It is a Touge. A mountain pass, where the goal is not to drift frivolously but rather to drift when necessary to clear sharp corners and make it down the mountain in peace and harmony, swiftly and quickly. See, don't active you know more than you do. That's all.

Cheers.

Guy's, guy's, Drifting and Touge are related, yes, but I made this topic to focus on the 'sideways' part of the scene.
You're free to discuss touge with other enthousiasts, but don't expect other people to care as much as you do yourself.
No point in forcing your opinion on someone, never works anyway.

Sideways Society

Orion already posted about that on Page 2 ^^.

Wasnt aware we werent allowed to advertise , Syn. I mean if people wanna drift we have a whole crew of active people willing and ready to drift. I mean lets not just talk about it, lets be about it.

That's not what I meant, I just don't want everyone spamming invites to their crew, once or twice is more than enough. There's a subsection for crew-recruitment.

Hostile, lol, if you think this is hostile then you have a thing coming when you meet hostile.
From now on expressing opinions is marked hostile, I mean really?

Promote all you want then, not much I can do about it anyways, I'm not a mod.
All I ask is not to spam invites, if that's too hostile, I'm not sure what isn't.

No need for butthurt and defensiveness man. Live and let live. Telling people a whopping total of two times that we have a drift crew (which is extremely relevant to this thread) is not spamming. Sorry if you thought we were trying to steal your thunder. Just thought people would, ya know, want to actually drift instead of just talking about it.
