Whoever's going on about EDM in drift videos can shut up. Requesting this music, OP.

 

 

I'd give my left nut for a Delta in GTA, most likely when the scalpel was hovering I'd change my mind but you know what I mean.

To all the people that's complaining about the music:

 

 

How about you make your own montage and choose music to your liking? Or mute the video and play your own songs in a new tab?

We all have different opinions on what good music is, so why would you even bother starting an arguement about it?

What are good drift cars? I have a futo, that thing drifts by just turning.
I would guess the comet, someone said dominator, and ruiner?

 

Schwartzer and Rapid GT are my personal favourites at the moment. Ruiner Vigero and Dominator are great cars too

Bit of a left field choice but has anyone else tried the JB 700 for drifting? I think it may be the best drift car in the game, I know it sounds crazy. I've got a Futo, Banshee, Schwartzer, Ruiner etc but I actually think the JB 700 is the best drifter.

 

I'd be interested to know if anyone else thinks the same or if I should get myself committed.

I DO love the JB for drifting. I just never have one because I can't get over the guns. If they're useless, let us remove them.

I never actually gave the JB a fair chance. Gonna try it out right now.

 

Edit: Tried it out in SP and... Wow! This car is awesome! Not my favourite, but still online garage spot worthy for sure. I'm pleasently surprised :D I'm currently saving money for the Heist DLC, so I'm not gonna buy any cars until the update is released. But I am definitely going to pick this thing up at some point.

Try for 4:30's in the Futo, my record is 4:29. Higher end sports cars ie: Jester should be in the 4:10's.

great course! that's where I pretty much hung out in my Futo during the snowy season :lol:. don't know if this was already mentioned but I wish we had the option to buy the "slidey cars cheat" tires for online.

In the long terrible dark year of 2012 when the Rockstar marketing assholes nearly starved us to death with lack of GTAV news, I bought Test Drive Unlimited 2 (TDU2) and tried to convince myself it was a substitute for the open world driving of GTAV. But as the months wore on, and I was grinding TDU2 for money and mods, the Ibiza EDM music was soaking loneliness and futility into my very soul. :/

 

Now as soon as I start to hear any of that Ibiza music, I get a rush of PTSD and instantly fall into a deep depression consumed by feelings of desperate, hopeless, endless, solitary emptiness that sucks the life out of me. :dontgetit::cry:

 

I blame Rockstar for these permanent mental and emotional scars.

Is the shwartzer in your videos slammed? Might be wise to mention that if ita the case. Makes a world of difference.

It is slammed, I thought it would be too obvious to mention.

Horrible music on your videos but I really appreciate your mastery of car control. Good stuff and I know you said you don't want to kick start a drifting/powerslide debate but to me that's proper drifting you're doing.

 

I can do it to an extent but I normally just do figure 8's and simple stuff, think I'll try a bit more.

Blame share factory for the awful music :p, but thanks, I appreciate it.

Yeah, just practice, if you really want something, you can get there.

Do you guys slam your cars to the max? Like two drops?

Yes, 2 drops for maximum effect

To all people complaining about the music, I made this with share factory, which only provides like 12 different songs, I don't have the means to do anything else.
To each his own styles, but I really can't do anything else lol.


It might be obvious to some Syn, but there might be beginners in this thread who have no idea about any of this stuff. Might pay to actually mention things that help you drift. Just saying.

There were lots of parts where you could've unnecessarily drifted and made it cooler looking, but the nostalgia hit from the Initial D references made up for it :p

Mainly a road showcase but also because it's a touge time attack. The real touge racers don't always drift, they just go balls out trying to get down or up the mountain as fast as it can. To pull a 4:30 in a Futo on that course is no easy feat. I suggest you look up "Hot Version Touge 2000."

Yeah, I probably could have done more drifting but also as is it was cutting it close with the Xbox recorder time. Maybe I'll make a drift montage of sorts. I'm glad you liked the Initial D references.

How do you drift like that on PS4? i was good on PS3 but now i cant even drift on PS4, what buttons do you press?

 

To Initiate a drift your going to need to let off the gas apply the handbrake and then slam on the gas and counter steer out of the drift.

I could say the same about your reaction. Coming from a guy who quotes his own name under every message, a bit vain is it not.

Haha have to agrees about the music. Why must everyone take the route of wierd electronic dance music? Does my head in. But yes the content of the video itself is great.

When I drift I listen to Los Santos Radio, so a lot of heavy bass gangster-rap. I find it most suiting. Only share factory doesn't feature any other music then Rock / EDM.

If any of y'all are ever interested in testing yourselves, I'm hosting a drifting challenge right now. Take a Slamvan over any route you want, record it, and post it. Best video gets a shark card.

I tried a sultan yesterday, can't seem to be able to 'slam' it, keeps blowing up, so I stopped trying.

I did however buy that Rapid GT, and oh man, high speed drifting is awesome,
Schwartzer is perfect for tight cornering and drifts, but the GT is awesome for big, long corners, and huge donuts.

New montage rolling out somewhere this week I think.

Also, thanks for 500 views, I wasn't expecting that o_O.
Might get a capture card so I can properly edit my clips, any tips on a good one?

Great threat OP! Awesome videos!

I like many drifting cars, they all have their own feel and things. I still love the Futo, it's just a legendary car and so fun to drive!

But have you guys tried the Gauntlet for drifting? It is absolutely amazing!

I'm gonna try the Rapid GT, never knew it was a good car for drifting I just never bought it because I don't like it's front looks. But I give it try after hearing so much people like it! Thanks guys and keep on drifting!
