Welcome to the Drifting Corner!

Here's a post where I (and hopefully others) will share my drifting videos/clips.
I encourage people to post videos of themselves, friends, or even a random video they saw.
I tend to enjoy drifting in GTA Online, whenever I get home from work, and I have some time to spare,
So I whipped up some clips of mine in the share factory, recorded with the automatic share function of my PS4,

so don't expect major HD quality, but it works for me.

Feel free to comment, discuss or post any videos of drifting in GTA Online.
(Haters will be ignored, the topic on 'you can't actually drift in gta' has been discussed enough, leave it be.)


Here's a first compilation of mine, enjoy.
(Yes, my scwhartzer is slammed, otherwise it would be impossible to maintain a drift in it.)

I remember reading a post (can't remember if it was here or on the GTA V subreddit) about drifting the figure 8 over at Weazel Plaza without stopping or hitting those stone statue bench things. Has anyone ever managed to do that?

Got a short video of me drifting around one side of it but needs more try hard doing the figure of 8, have done it but kind of scrappily, not worth making a video for

Note the random guy I accidentally hit on the road was chasing me round for a good 10 minutes while I was there hahaha

Cool thing to try which I like to do. Get an Obey 9F (I use the convertible) and shoot all 4 tyres. Since it has 4WD, it can still accelerate hard and reach good speeds. Then, because the tyres are flat and the car has a tendency to oversteer, it starts to slide easily and you can build up some real high angle. Thanks to the 4WD, you can manage to keep it in high angle, pull out of it and make perfect transitions into a new drift repeating the process.

 

Again, not the same drifting as you do, but you can get sideways at pretty high speeds and manage to maintain a drift and transition in a new one. Worth a shot for those who are looking for some speedy drifting action :)

Yeah, the handbrake is your friend, I don't have the money to buy a 9F, but I'll keep it in mind.

I've practiced in a Futo, but as soon as I tried the schwartzer, I've stuck with it, I love it for drifting.

 

Very good car to try that handles like the schwarzer is the Vapid Dominator.

 

With handbrake and throttle applied it revs up hard and delivers quite some tire spin (very comparable to the schwarzer)

I don't have a means to record, as I am a lowly PS3 peasant. When PC comes out, if this thread isn't buried on page 183 by then, I'll post some videos of my suckage :3

I've been trying to host on X1 for a couple weeks now and only ever get like 4 people. Idk if there's just no population for it yet or if there's just no one looking in the meet section.

pretty certain i did this in a 9f, but it was ps3 so i couldnt record... might give it a shot in my futo later...

I just managed to do the Weazel figure 8, it's included in my new, just released, 1 hour drift-montage.
(Not an hour-long, clips gathered in an hour xD)

But, the odd ones seem to be humored rather than fixed when it comes to this, here.

 

Also, meh on the video, and hmu when the game actually allows us to drift.
