Why are gamer girls so protected?

Recommended Posts

girls being girls...

thats how they are online, thats how they are in real life... get used to it!

Obviously not all females are like that. At least my sis doesn't act like a cheap whore when she's playing this game.

Girls in my school on the other hand.... "Waaaah did beach bumped into me waah i shold be able 2 go 2 school without school uniform waaah let me put tons of makap withod geteng harazed by da boss!!!!!! 1!1!1" :sui:

Who the f*ck plays multiplayer games while depressed anyway

Why would you tell some random people that you have a f*cking "depression"? I mean you're supposed to have fun in videogames no one cares about your sh*t

The f*ck is wrong with people lmao

Maybe a trivial comment in response to someone talking about depression was not the best move to make in the first place.

Exactly. The correct thing to tell her would have been something like this:

"Nobody gives a f*ck about your so called depression. Go see Dr Friedlander."

She most likely don't have depression anyway. I know a lot of girls who says they are depressed, when in fact they are not. Being sad or a bit down is not the same as being depressed. Sadly, some women has not learned to differentiate between these things. f*cking drama queens.

I blame the white knights.

Treat women for what they are, not for that they have.

Most guys don't know, and this might be hard to wrap their heads around, but men and women BOTH like to be treated like people.

No one likes to be treated like they're a trophy, and if they do,they seriously need to grow up, because looking at yourself as only a goal for someone to get to is really bad.

Sooo basically, the guys that defended this lady are at fault for treating this girl like she was their messiah, and this lady is at fault for acting like she WAS special for becoming a girl.

That's because people think white knighting will get them a piece of that gamer girl peach pie.

Because that's the only reason that a guy would treat women with respect. :sarcasm:

Attention whore was stroking her ego

Most people I know that have feelings of depression don't start numbering their issues with random people

I don't like using the term "attention whore", but yeah, depressed people never vocalize.

This pretty much are all my thoughts about what happened.

So today whilst playing with my crew which consists of alot of female, i ended up getting cursed out by one of our crew members (which is a girl). her name is Ashley and she was talking about how she was depressed and stuff so i responded with "well the heist update comes out soon"

She then began yelling, cursing, raging at me, how her life is more than a video game, then the rest of the crew joined in. Saying how i shouldn't talk to women like that, and the whole crew cursed me out. My crew leader even made me apologize constantly.

So my only question is, what's with these gamer girls acting like queens? I usually attract them easily, but I've never been cursed out by one before

First two responses are perfection.

Feeling depressed and having depression are not the same. Maybe she does have depression and may be not, but you clearly had no idea. As long as you were not rude there is nothing to apologize for. The problem in all this for me is this crew leader who made you "apologize constantly". What gives him these "special powers" over you. Everyone is equal. You should get yourself away from this clown and his crew.

I've shared many extremely intimate details about my life with a good friend I met online who lives in the UK. I was going through a bad flareup of a condition I have which left me nearly bedridden and housebound due to anemia and pain. I'm a girl but I'm not an 'attention whore' because I mention my problems to someone to whom I was comfortable speaking, just like this girl Ashley the OP was talking to might've felt. I also feel that OP isn't telling us all what he said, because that doesn't seem like something others will 'white knight' over.

I played online games in order to have something to do. Sorry if not everybody can be happy while playing a game.

Every guy that was getting on you about that, was trying to impress her. Like one poster said, "power of the p*ssy".

Well I agree with you about sharing stuff and getting confidence with someone being okay, but that girl the OP speaks about told such problems in a opened chat (which you have to agree is a wrong move), therefore giving the OP the chance to show his amazing social skills.

"well the heist update comes out soon"

I ain't gonna lie but this was a horrible response :p. Make sure to take notes from it as ur GF would tear you apart for such things.

But anyway yeah not surprised to see how quick others hopped on her side. Most people online try to side with a woman whenever chance they get so they can get close to them. Can be pretty f*cking pathetic sometimes.

Maybe so but that doesn't give her or the crew leader the right to take it out on him. it's selfish. he assumed it was about the game they were playing and shouldn't tread on eggshells just in case. I too have a pretty awful illness which changed my life considerably and like you has left me bed bound for weeks and in constant unrelenting agony. no one else should apologize for that because its not their fault. pardon him for assuming it's was about the game. if people are genuinely crying out for help then why doesn't someone in that crew take some responsibility and talk to the person rather than berate the op - he's not a mind reader. A fair number of people diagnosed with depression play online games for a couple of reasons.

1 - There are times when they really do not want to face the outside world, but at the same time being isolated and alone at home is really not a good thing, so it at least gives them a small (albeit virtual) sense of social interaction (such as it can be when your spewing about how you are about to rip some c*nts head off and sh*t down their throat from a very great height)

2 - Some sufferers also have issues of anger and rage that they need to release, and the more violent online games are ideal for venting those emotions without turning into the next Micheal Ryan (Hungerford spree killer, UK, 19th August 1987), or the next Washington Sniper.

As a sufferer myself, I know these 2 facts well enough.

However, actually turning around and yelling at someone in an onlne lobby is the last thing I'll do. Most sufferers tend to suffer in sllence, such is the stigma still present in the modern day over the condition. So - playing devil's advocate - I'd have to conclude that this person was attention seeking, and does not suffer from depression, nor does she even have the slightest idea of what depression is.

I will also say that snide, flippant or off hand comments about depression are incredibly f*cking tactless, and just seek to reinforce the stigmas around the condition.

Golden rule - engage brain before mouth!

Because I don't think OP is telling us all what he said. I doubt he just said 'heists are coming out soon' and then dropped his mic. Other stuff was said I can assure you.

I have depression and take medication for it and no thats not offensive in the slightest...shes an idiot

So you, as a sufferer of depression, should know that each case is unique, and you wouldn't like to be told that your case of depression is invalid because it doesn't meet a certain set of a layman's depression parameters, right?
