Why are gamer girls so protected?

Recommended Posts

So today whilst playing with my crew which consists of alot of female, i ended up getting cursed out by one of our crew members (which is a girl). her name is Ashley and she was talking about how she was depressed and stuff so i responded with "well the heist update comes out soon"

She then began yelling, cursing, raging at me, how her life is more than a video game, then the rest of the crew joined in. Saying how i shouldn't talk to women like that, and the whole crew cursed me out. My crew leader even made me apologize constantly.

So my only question is, what's with these gamer girls acting like queens? I usually attract them easily, but I've never been cursed out by one before

Because of idiot men's out there constantly harassing us and some of us learned not to trust guys in games.

I blame the white knights.

Treat women for what they are, not for that they have.

Most guys don't know, and this might be hard to wrap their heads around, but men and women BOTH like to be treated like people.

No one likes to be treated like they're a trophy, and if they do,they seriously need to grow up, because looking at yourself as only a goal for someone to get to is really bad.

Sooo basically, the guys that defended this lady are at fault for treating this girl like she was their messiah, and this lady is at fault for acting like she WAS special for becoming a girl.

How the hell does saying heists will be out soon upset someone? And why the f*ck would you need to apologize for that?

She probably failed all the heists in singleplayer and had to skip through the entire singleplayer triggering her PTSD

That's because people think white knighting will get them a piece of that gamer girl peach pie.

Because that's the only reason that a guy would treat women with respect. :sarcasm:

its the only reason a white knight would treat women with "respect"

this really was the worst possible way to respond. if a girl is depressed there are about a 100 reasons for it, but for sure it's not gta.

I am married almost twenty years and I still can not figure some aspects of women's behaviour out. But what I did learn is when women have a "emotional crisis", the best strategy is not to respond at all.

It is a fact that girl gamers are harrassed a lot online. White knighting may be interpreted wrong, even if if your intentions were good.

I can see what ticked this girl off. She was depressed about something that had nothing to do with this game, and when she mentioned her feelings, you responded with a positive statement about this game. She took that to mean that you were saying that her real-life problems weren't important, and that a video game would make her happy. And that pissed her off.

I can understand that. I don't necessarily think it was the best reaction, but what I'm saying is, I understand how it happened.

I believe that your comment wasn't meant to imply that her problems were insignificant, or that good news about a video game would solve her problems. I believe you just meant it as a little happy note to try to cheer her up. I believe that you were basically saying, "While I can't do anything to help you with whatever's depressing you, at least here's this little happy thought which maybe might be something cheerful to think about and take your mind off other things for a few minutes." I believe that's what your intent was. But I also believe that what she heard was, "Your problems don't matter, because heists are coming out! That should make you happy no matter what and erase all your pain!"
