Single Player updates and DLC

This might be a naive question, but I'll ask anyway. Will the single player game get updates, new content and DLC, or is all that just for the online community?

 

I'm working my way through the story right now, and when finished will pretty much use this for free-roaming, as I don't mix with other players when I go online anyway.

 

For that reason, I'm just wondering if the SP game will continue to grow in the same way the online game will.

No one knows except the devs at Rockstar. They mentioned it since the release of GTA O back in 2013, but it looks like they are too prioritized with GTA O

I suppose another related question would be, will an internet connection be required to make use of any new content, or will it download onto the hard drive and be usuable offline?

 

What I mean by that, is will users need to be connected to the internet to access new SP content once it's been downloaded / installed?

for SP DLC, you must have a network connection to download the content, but once downloaded, it can be played offline

Note for NG consoles (mainly speaking XB1), you must resync your save if you decide to play a game while not connected to the internet

SP will get at least one DLC, 'confirmed' by Rockstar, however it doesn't seem that it will grow like GTA:Online.

That's a damn shame, becuase the more I play SP the less interested I am in online.
