Totallycasual
When you compare GTAV's ocean to GTAIV's it looks pretty damn awesome to me, even compare it to Watch Dogs ocean/rivers which essentially perform the same role as a border, not only does V's look better but its a hell of a lot more interesting. I honestly cant get over how much people whine about the game, sure it could use some more stuff here and there or a little tweak but for the most part its just amazing Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/765487-ocean-is-a-waste/page/5/#findComment-1066954384 Share on other sites

He really believes the dark, murky waters off New York City's coast was worth creating in detail on a level comparable to V's waters which are based on the California coasts that are abundant in marine life. Gosh some of these forum users, do they have any sense at all? fac316
What I loved in the ballad of gay Tony is the drug missions would spawn in the ocean. @ least it was something to do..... --Vega--
The biggest waste was the mountain areas. Instead of making mountains 3x bigger than the city, they should've reduced mountain size by x2 and added it to make the city bigger x2, with just decent mountains in the background. Instead of making mountains 3x bigger than the city, they should've reduced mountain size by x2 and added it to make the city bigger x2, with just decent mountains in the background. The biggest waste was the map itself. Unlike Previous GTAs whose story mode used all, if not most of the map, GTA V uses a very small portion. Most of the story takes place in Los Santos and some missions for Trevor and Micheal in Sandy Shores and of course the heist and other missions going up to the air base and Paleto Bay. The map is a waste in single player, and even in Online I find most people sticking around in the city anyway. Osho
If they had actually kept the same ( GTA SA ) map, and expand on the way it was by additional improvements, then I would have been a lot happy. SA map covers more variety than V IMO. It would have also benefited hugely to the roleplaying aspect of all three by unlocking them through completing missions on each city as you follow on the story while your character grows. God knows what was going with Rockstar at the time when they decided to scrap the fantastic SA map that they created in the past. Every chapter of the story visited every part of the map, in a rough clockwise direction. Vertighost
Never and "umm" and and a "ahhh" when the police dispatch woman says over the police CB " in the ocean", seems theres a lot of crime happening out there...not really, but does make me wonder what PC modders will be doing with the ocean. GrindoLindo
screw the sea in gta, put a crashed airliner on a secluded beach and when you find it there's a big roarrr and then the whole island vanishes and is replaced by a giant trollface requiring you to start a new game. Turkey Shenanigans
It is. They should of made the ocean non-divable(like in IV) and they then could of used all those extra resources or what ever sh*t it's called to make the map bigger or add in more trees (like it looked in trailer 1) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/765487-ocean-is-a-waste/page/5/#findComment-1066968471 Share on other sites
Jammsbro
I've actually explored a ton of the underwater realm. I love it. Some of it is creepy down there.
