Gta online races glitchy

Recently I started to race in GTA online again. But the races are full with glitches. I went from ps3 to ps4 btw (maybe this is a reason). But when I'm in a race with 16+ players, I sometimes have strange steering probs. I can't steer anymore: it will barely steer and it steers in the opposite directions when I try. Feels like somebody els has the controller in their hands. And some other players are jumping in front of me like they are The Flash. I've got a lot of timing outs occurings as well. I am certain I have a good internet connection so this won't be the cause. Is this also happening to you guys and girls?

It's a glitch called lag

I can't tell my left from my right* so I have no idea if thus is happening to me.

i get it if mrs is watching netflix, its lagging your side basically

Once there was a bug where we started the race and went through the checkpoints but would not work, so we had to go back and since it worked for some people (three) we lost a lot of time.
