GTA Drug Dealing

I was just thinking about how theres not much to do in freeroam besides simeons missions so i came up with what i think is a good idea. There should be some drug turf that you have to control in order to make money, i was thinking in the hood near grove street. And the longer you had control of the area the more money you would make per hour. And depending on the amount of people in the lobby there would be a multiplier on the money you make per hour, such as x0 for 1-3 other players, x1 for 4-7 other players, x2 for 8-11, x3 for 12-15. But the money you made would be kept on hand and if someone killed you they would take all the money you made, but they would only get a certain amount of it so there isnt too much money being made(makes rockstar happy). Thoughts?

Id like to see a feature that would allow us to become drug kingpins, with, or without the whole turfwar sh*t. Instead of being the guys who go out and steal drug packages, we should have the option to be the dealers, suppliers, or kingpins, or maybe just property/corporation management, like player made and owned taxi services, guards for hire, soldiers for hire, airlines, sh*t even convienence stores...i wish you would try to rob me! 56449150.jpg

Not a bad idea. Buy a trap house, buy $50k, 100k etc worth of coke, stay in house, customers come buy and you can sell them however much you want (smaller amount bigger profit) until you run out. Players can kill/rob you, police can raid your house. Only thing bad is teaching a generation of kids how to sell drugs.

I often think about the impact the drug dealing feature will have on kids, but Rockstar has already released their most fleshed out Drug dealing mini game on a kids system(Nintendo 3DS). plus technically the game isnt even for kids.

to me there should be more in game freeroam things that pop up to do like durg Dealing were it pops up were its going down and any players that go in the location have to fight of or players and pick up the drugs and make there way back to there house once u have picked up the drugs you can no go in passive mode and u like make $5000 gta money and like 1000 rp maybe what you think ?

I once jumped from lobby to lobby, asking if anyone lived in my area... When they would say yes, I would then ask them if they sold bud... I finally found someone, met up with them at a local store and got me a nice bag of kush!

All I wanted this Christmas was R* to recognize my kingpin status and give me the ability to make fresh scrubs do jobs for me in exchange for money, I would slowly replace Job Givers starting with Simeon and Gerald

I'll add my 2 cents.

I'm assuming you guys have played Red Dead multiplayer, remember later on when they implemented a system for kind of the kill around the map and at any given moment someone could activated it and people would fight over the area, the more people, the more money you get from defending the spot?


I think that would be a great way to similarly implement the "turf" idea into gta online.


Say in each session there's areas within the map that are turfs for each part of the map, if someone "claims" this area then others would have the right to fight over it along with their crew, this would start something akin to the 1v1 promps you get when you've killed someone enough times. Whoever sides wins gets the area and it can't be claimed for another so many minutes [ maybe 15 minutes? ] and the crew/person who won the match of the area would then get an income of money from that area for a given amount of time till someone else claims it. Note that they'd probably keep this even if they left, allowing people to earn money while not playing but people are free to take it back, the conditions might be that a certain amount of people need to be in a game though?

I think though that the whole drug dealing/turf idea in general is great though.

Besides the Drug dealing idea it'd be great for us to have either that or other sources for income so that higher level players actually have a pay off for having their status as someone who's put time into the game. I don't understand how I can be level 100 and to me I feel like I should be getting an income and not having to do odd jobs every time I need something petty like ammo.

Sounds fun. While this may have the potential to be as elaborate as several members have thought up, I suggest maybe a simple way of doing this while making use of an already somewhat dull feature:

 

-take this Idea using the Gang Attack locations as turfs, playing out a "king of the hill" like scenario.

 

-also maybe have the option of "extorting" stores in the area around a turf, in addition to outright robbing the joint.

 

-choosing alliance between Gerald, Maddrazo and Trevor gives you access to certain "turfs"

 

CONS: suddenly, GTAO becomes Grand Tank Auto Online because folks don't know how to have a good time without a rhino -_-

Like Chinatown Wars? No, It is a bad idea, R* will get serious problems from anti-drug people like they had problems because of the sexual mods in GTA San Andreas.

 

GTA Chinatown Wars is an adult comic/cartoon game so it didn't have any serious problems like that. But GTA V is different. It is not like a comic/cartoon , it is a real life crime simulator with parody//comedy. Not cartoonish, much more realistic, it could attract response.
