GTA 5 online, Xbox one, can a newb solo with getting killed a lot?

Recommended Posts

Isn't there a way for me to play solo online without being at the mercy of grievers and higher level killers ? Some thing I read online made me think I could. Like choosing online invite only, or something like that. But I got killed anyway.

Any input about how to play solo online and have fun?

Thank you.

You can start solo by going to Start > Online > Play GTA Online > Solo Session from the story mode start menu. You can also start an invite only session by following those steps but instead of Solo Session select Invite Only Session. People shouldn't be able to join an invite only unless you invite them. You can do solo sessions but you cannot do jobs in a solo session so...

Start > online > Play GTA online > Invite only session

if you play missions n such from on call and vote for free roam, you will be placed back into an invite only session

Not sure if the same on XBone, I'm on ps3, but make sure when starting up the game you DON'T go to online immediately.

Start up StoryMode first, when that's loaded you can do as said above.

Maybe I just overlooked it, but I never saw the option to start a solo/invite only session in the menu when online.

Solo has no use inho, cause you can't do any jobs. Invite only does.

Yeah it's not there, only way to get it to show up is if you go to creator mode and pause the game there, on the Online section it'll say "Start invite-only session"

Never thought of that. That should cut down the loading time if you want an IO session when in an open lobby.

Thnx for the tip!
