you freeroam warriors are more than welcome to actually go and play battlefield instead of thinking gta is battlefield SA

MMO players typically have to pay a constant subscription fee. Or the content they can access is limited until they do so.

 

 

Nah. There are the ones that completely without subscription fee.

 

Those are the ones who only sell money. Or sometimes they sell different currency.

 

This method is not only applied in MMO and GTAO. FTP mobile games does this as well. "Free access to game and new contents. Grind long or buy money"

You're seriously missing out on breaking bad. SoA never caught my attention, same with Walking Dead. But BB is amazing.

i watched breaking bad out of curiosity because EVERYONE seem to talk about as it was the greatest thing ever...

 

in my book BB is meh, dont get me wrong, the thing is good, have some funny moment, some memorable stuff but i failed to see THAT thing that people praised so much.

 

on the other hand House of Cards.... mmmm mmmm mmm that sh*ts great!

i do see a lot of posts saying people can't get online after R*'s "maintenance".

 

i havent had any problems, so i can't complain- R* needs to stop sh*tting the bed though.

I completely agree with you. R* have said the Updates are Free for a reason, so certain people need to move past the "do not complain the Updates are Free" attitude. Hiding behind the Free banner is just a cop out. R* have sold over 45 million copies of GTA V, giving them around $3 billion in revenue for a $300 million production budget, the least they can do is improve their communication with the Player-base.

Technically online is "free" it's just a add -on of the single player.

 

it is was on PS3 but you need PSN+ on PS4 therefore it is not free. that is after you pay for the internet connection of course

i bought the PS4/GTAV package on the day it was released and when i got home i was not able to access online without PSN+. it does actually state that it is required. the little blue boxes that tell you the features, the yellow one says "network players 2 - 30 playstation plus subscription required"

 

when i bought it i assumed that the online section would be free since it didnt require a subscription on PS3

It's the next day, and I just decided to check in before work... just to see.

Sure enough, Online is back up and everything looks normal.

So what then? "But FW3, everything's okay now! It was just routine maintenance!" Yeah, okay. For two nights?

Look, I'm not one to B&Moan about this stuff, but after working 10 hours and getting my kids to bed, my form of relaxation is to sit down for an hour or two, rob a store, kill a level 42 a dozen times, and shine my frickin' Youga up.

I don't expect that every few weeks I'm going to encounter some "event" that is going to prevent me from accessing the entertainment that I bought – and continue to buy – into. Yes, via cash cards (I buy em' cuz I can afford em).

While some folks may chastise my slight rant into this thread, I'm not ready to just "oh, well everything's okay NOW" the matter and be grateful. I'm not grateful for the frustration... sorry.

SO, last night I decided to fire up the game Dishonored, which I downloaded (for free via XBox Gold), but never played. It's pretty fun and I enjoyed my time with it. I'll continue to play it til I finish.
However, I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the Main Menu screen, which has a blue link players can access that says, "Click X to purchase Downloadable Content."

You can imagine what words might have gone through my head. Not two minutes into a new game and already, DLC is offered. ugh.

Anyhow, I gotta go to work in fifteen, so I'm gonna do the Meth'd Up mission, because even though I buy cash cards, I still really dig doing missions and races and stuff. CHEERS! :)

For me its still free...ah...new gen problems :p

 

you can imagine the reaction from an excited Scotsman after getting home and discovering i was unable to access the online bit until i had gone back into town the following day to get the 12 month subscription. YES......NO...........[CENSORED CENSORED CENSORED CENSORED] :lol:

I'm guessing someone else on the console has PS+ and you're skirt tailing their subscription.

 

My kids can play on my main ps4 and get online with their games and they don't have PS+. They skirt tail my PS+ account.
