Checkmate on it being an Issue with R* and not out our end.

 

Just dusted off my PS3 copy of GTA V, Start Online and "Files can not be Downloaded..." exactly the same as PS4. Would like to see them explain to me how both my PS3/PS4 copies are having the same Issue at the same time straight after their maintenance period :panic:

 

R* just put all their money on Microsoft ;)

 

RIP PlayStation user-base.

You know, a Class Action Lawsuit against a faulty product would do wonders for the billions Rockstar/Take Two have claimed from this game.

 

Sure, sure, I understand the whole, "but FW3, the Online section is free," and "but FW3, you aren't paying for Online," and "but FW3, my doctor says it will clear up in a few days with this lotion."

 

Yes, we've all heard the reasons why nobody can fault Rockstar for "Session timed out," "Connection lost," and now "Files needed."

 

But guess what, when I buy a cash card and I find that the $7500 I spent on Mercenaries just *poof* disappears when my "connection times out" or the $1000 mugger I sent on someone *poof* just vanishes when suddenly the "files needed to play online" boot me out of a session, I have a problem with that.

 

The first time it happened, okay... move on. Second, third, sixth times it happened, okay... I'm frustrated, but what do you do? A dozen or two times... this just isn't right.

 

Rockstar was quick enough to take back the billions in virtual money gifted to me, but Lord knows they will be hard-pressed to return the $29.99 I paid them for virtual money I had to buy, but lost due to "files needed to play online."

 

So, the comment above is quite literally the reaction of every player, like myself.

 

I got three words for you, folks: BATTLEFIELD HARDLINE BETA. Downloading it now.

 

I love GTAO, but this BS is for the 10 year olds.

 

Go ahead... flame on.

Everybody seems to be doing it, as some as are having trouble downloading it....like me.

 

Is online down?

 

For Sony it seems to be, at least for some people. I see a couple people on my friends list that are playing it.

The one time my wife literally says she is going to bed early and, "have fun playing gta". I load it up and then get that bulllsh*t error message... long story short I'm laying in bed next to her and all I hear is my farts smell .... f*cking rockstar

I completely agree with you. R* have said the Updates are Free for a reason, so certain people need to move past the "do not complain the Updates are Free" attitude. Hiding behind the Free banner is just a cop out. R* have sold over 45 million copies of GTA V, giving them around $3 billion in revenue for a $300 million production budget, the least they can do is improve their communication with the Player-base.

Secondly, thousands of MMO players got updates and assets for free too, but they're allowed to complain if it's broken. So, go on.

Exactly. Yeah, I always laugh when people say that. "The online is free".

 

Oh, the online is free huh? I didn't have to pay for it? That's weird, because on the back of the game case it clearly advertises "Online Multiplayer - 30 Players"

 

You have to buy the god damn game to play Online. I don't know where that whole "free" thing ever came from. It's bizarro world mentality.

It's you addiction fueling your hate. Which I understand the addiction. I've spread this addiction too my fiancé. My neighbor. My other neighbor and now his wife. All five of us addicted. We play nearly every night of the week. So yes GTAV Online is highly addictive. It can eat time like nothing else. 10:30pm approaches. Well I'm gonna jump off at 11pm. Checks clock. Crap it's 11:45pm sometimes 12:30am. Ask yourself wtf happen to the time.

 

When we're not on. We're making some silly reference to GTAV. Watch movies and notice cues that remind us of the game.

 

My favorite. Fiance sees a armored truck and says get close honey so I can sticky it. LoL

 

Anyway. Hopefully it comes back soon so you addicts can get your fix.

Yep, tried to open the creator, got a PSN error when I tried to load the race I wanted to edit, when I rebooted the game I was missing files.

You should stop for the night. it's not R* fault they didn't want to play what was intended, for example it's like buying popcorn at the movie theater, for the box it comes in. It's a ADD ON to the current product, no one told them to be Neanderthals and go right online.

MMO players typically have to pay a constant subscription fee. Or the content they can access is limited until they do so.
