Rockstar continues their bipolar war with modding

Recommended Posts

I don't think RockStar's pr and development teams work together.

Yes. It's a big company and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They're just not always on the same page - not a big deal.

you can be banned for modding but you cant be banned if someone else modded a mission and you just play it.

Not a perfect system but how would you react if you got banned for joining a quick job that turned out to be modded?

Rockstar doesn't seem to care about modded jobs that don't aware higher than normal RP or Money, and they blacklisted modded weapons so you cant pick up stunguns or railguns anymore.

Look at this wealth of stuff

It's their game, they can choose how far people can take the modding, I see nothing wrong with that picture or that guy enjoying that mission or them promoting it.

its pretty simple isnt it? Cheating... no having fun...yes.

granted they do a lot of things that take out fun but they don't take out everything.

As usual Rockstar like to ban people who mod

Not exactly true, not many modders get banned to be honest. They only really get banned when they get recorded doing stupid stuff and trolling lobbies, and even then, the ban is usually very light, you can mod the sh*t out of the game and only end up in the Cheater Pool for a week.

Rockstar has a very lax approach when it comes to modders and cheaters in general. Sure, they'll put systems in places so you can't cheat, but they don't really give a crap if you get around them.

Remember back in July when Rockstar promoted a modded Liberator?

They quickly altered the picture as the comment section burned in speculation.

I've sadly deleted the original image from my PC.

Nevermind.

Yep, and the stunt video the other day with a Cargo Plane.

The PR department clearly does not play the game, or communicate with the developers, or have any sort of quality control.

But you don't know they didn't do the Singleplayer to Multiplayer glitch to acquire the vehicles.

I'm pretty sure the sp>mp glitch was patched by the time the Sovereign was released.

Regardless most custom ones were customized through iFruit and Charles, not imported.
