Is battlefield hardline a GTA:O ripoff?

Recommended Posts

I say yes! They used the exact same trailer concept as GTA using a woman to explain things in greater detail. The worst part is they dont do it for the players, they do it for the money. They could have used ANY city but LA but no they used the exact same location and evwn added score during the bloody trailer hahahahahah

Rockstar took so long to implement heist, another company managed to make another game about heist.

To be honest though,it feels like a lot of stuff present in GTA is present in Bf Hard line.Taser,check.Baseball bat, check.Bravado Buffalo, check.

who cares, i just want the f*cking heists and *R failed to deliver so i'm gonna give it a try :D

It's also Cops and Robbers.

But seriously if Battlefield can take the pewpew freaks in freeroam out of GTA, I'll be very, very happy. Nobody freaking likes them except themselves.

I played heists on the Battlefield Hardline Beta in 2014

Its kinda fun because you can make people surrender and arrest them

It also has taser guns in multiplayer unlike NoFunAllowed R*

This one time my friend and I were on adjacent roofs, I noticed an enemy sneaking up on him and warned him, all I saw from a distance was my friend getting tased by an enemy.

He gets tased around 3:40

Recently bought Assasins Creed Unity and they have also got a heist onlin co-op mode which is implemented and plays very well. The fact that as soon as you finish the heist (either fail or complete it) free roam kicks back in, no loading or anything so its seemless.

Although I dont think GTA has been ripped off, I do think that the GTA heists have a lot to live up to now due to BF and AC:Unity working pretty well.

payday 2 is still the definitive heist game. will judge the GTAO heists when they arrive but they are looking relatively linear at the moment and if they are anything like the ones in single player I wont be very interested.
will have to replay hardline when its released, tried out the beta on PC and it wasn't anything special and the price would have a third of what is was for me to want to buy it :p

There is a Battlefield Hardline topic here

Please keep the discussion in one place.
