A bit late to the party, but I don't mind the Comet at all (Used to own one but that spoiler is just aeijkfdhrewifhirewhf[f4rprgf.)

 

It's a pretty (and) glorious vehicle, not as elegant as it's IV counterpart but whatever

 

I'm with you though, with the exception of the spoiler and downgrade, I don't see why it's such a disliked vehicle.

 

I don't think I've ever seen more than two in Online.

in my books includes straights AND turns because anybody can control a car on a straight line! Put someone in a series of turns and they're bound to get passed, skill or not!

A real straight line care is actually very difficult to keep in a straight line, and I'm betting few people can handle such cars. You know why?

 

Because they think anyone can do it and then realize that keeping a straight line when going Wide Open with 600+HP can be a very difficult thing to do.

 

Not saying I don't enjoy road-track racing, I do so quite a bit. I just get taken back a bit when someone says straight line racing is not hard, because once you get above a certain power threshold, it actually is very hard.

But that's an issue that you'll have to deal with in any Motorsport. Of course it's easier than road-track racing or drifting. You've also got to remember it's more common to see drag cars run automatic transmission than manual. So that's another aspect of it.

The Comet is a amazing car for it's value for racing/cruising round town. If I were to compare the handling specs it is definitely not easy to drive like your Zentorno. I do not like spoilers but it's a 911 guys you gotta get the spoiler on there lol. There's just something rewarding when you drive the comet in and out of those twisty turns in Vinewood hills. Yeah it might suck on a straight line but the Comet was designed to handle corners with no problem. And for racing, I would definitely have a car that has this advantage with the addition of nice handling. Plus this is a great car to outrun someone in the city with especially once off the radar as well. Many of the supers will have trouble taking those turns...not the Vacca though..

The sports cars in this game in general seem overlooked, apart from the Massacro and Jester. Everyone is too busy with super cars.

 

As for the Comet, it looks a lot better with one of the custom spoilers instead of the weird stock one, but an option to remove the spoiler completely would be nice. I like the front design, it reminds me of older 911's, but I'm not really sure what rockstar were thinking of when they designed the back.

I've had one since the 2013 GTAO launch and it's the best money I've spent in the game. Ditched a Surano for it and after the tricky first couple of weeks we are now inseparable.

 

This is the latest picture I got of her, can't wait to bring it to PC and see her in her full glory

If you want to try one out, keep in mind that the learning curve is steep and requires dedication. It pays off very well though.

1 stupid fckin spoiler that CAN NOT be removed, wtf is that? Srsly wtf is w that?

Has rockstar ever answered questions about tiny but monumentally stupid decisions?

 

2 handling, too tail happy...sure you can learn to control the car and be competitive but with other cars you woudve been winning instead of learning.

 

One of the best looking cars w no spoiler but below average w it imo

Why is there only one Chryster in the entire game being the Fusilade, PMP-600 being deleted from IV which I want to return.
