Li0N
Found this on reddit so credit goes to NzLHD You can check every GPU,CPU,RAM and OS it is recommended to play. Of course if optimization is great you can probably run GTA even better! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/764802-can-you-run-it-v2/ Share on other sites
deadrave
Says my core 2 duo won't run the game, while I expect to run it at medium easily. Unless he is saying that gta v will be the first game that wont run on my pc then that website is unreliable as fk, please don't trust it. Unless he is saying that gta v will be the first game that wont run on my pc then that website is unreliable as fk, please don't trust it. I wouldn't expect much from a Core 2 Duo. Although, the website's saying that my CPU is recommended to run on Low, which is rather odd. I can easily achieve 45-60 FPS on BF4 multiplayer (mark my words, multiplayer) on Siege of Shanghai on Medium-high. And Frostbite is pretty demanding on CPU. Dude, does 'won't run' mean you can't run it on high-60fps 1080p? if yes then i i'll shut my mouth, cause for me 'won't run' means WON'T RUN. Im telling you such websites are worthless, i can go as far and say game-debate is actually the closest to give you a fair opinion about performance but even then.. The system specs clearly state that the game won't be that demanding, yet other games that require i-5s and gtx 660's minumum run smoothly on my almost 10 years old rig, im talking about 720p though, thats where im going to run gta v, but 720p and 'won't run' is far different for me. RedIndianRobin
I call that website as sh*t. Till date, I have been able to play EACH AND EVERY GAME on my PC and that website is saying that I CAN'T EVEN RUN GTA V? BS. Will GTA V run on my rig? Specs are in my signature. I am sure that I can run it on High settings. Yup. High is more like it. Medium-High. 750K is rather weak compared to my 760K, let alone 860K. Expect Xbox One level of experience. Barrett_killz
The website is mostly trash. I've checked the laptop versions of hardware and it mostly requires high end laptop GPUs (such as Radeon HD 6990M for example to run on LOW!). Also it states that some Core 2 Extremes won't even be able to run the game, while they should to the job just fine. jeter2
I am pretty sure my GTX870M can run the game on High. I like the website's clean interface though looks nicer than canyourunit.com In my opinion. Dx2words
those sites are bullsh*t, if your specs are close to a game requeriments BAM you can run it at like 30 fps wich is good for normal people, of course the nerds which if a game dont run at 60 fps it is unplayable. GTA V PC requeriments are pretty low so thats cool, more people can play it. The only problem with the game are the f*cking delays. Trash_Ok
Bullsh*t ... GTX 765m on low ? That's just not true, playing Dying Light on Low at 1080p and that game is unoptimized and wants some true graphical power. I should be playing on High according to the requierements, I have played a lot of games with worse reqs without a problem so yeah .. People underestimate Laptop power ... I mean it's not AS powerful as desktops, but mostly the latest setups are able to handle the latest games on medium/high details without a problem. It's just not for hardcore gamers who can't play a game without 60 fps. Thalyn
Bullsh*t ... GTX 765m on low ? That's just not true, playing Dying Light on Low at 1080p and that game is unoptimized and wants some true graphical power. I should be playing on High according to the requierements, I have played a lot of games with worse reqs without a problem so yeah .. It also depends of your CPU and your RAM. The GTX 765M is approximately a GTX 650Ti. If you have a good I5 or I7 (or equivalent from AMD), it would be ok, in medium (maybe in "custom Hi-medium"). On this website, you need to look for all of your components: Graphic, CPU, and Ram essentially. If they are low (for all), then GTA V will run on "low". If they are Medium or High (CPU and Ram for examples) and "Low" ony for your Chipset, GTA V would be ok on medium. Oh... before to talk about optimisation or unoptimisation, it also depends of your installation (if you have lot of bullsh*ts in background: background process...). I had the opportunity to test "Dying Light" at my nephew (my sister's laptop). That's true, the game was messy. However, after cleaning the computer and removed all the useless craps running in the background unnecessarily, I was able to play very smoothy (High 1080p) with her laptop: win8.1, i7-4700HQ, 6GB RAM (1333 MHz), HDD 5400rpm, and GT 740M. The problem of graphic cards on laptops: they are poorly cooled. So you can play smoothy (on medium) for 1-2h (Performances = 650ti), then the performances drops due to excessive heat (Performances = GTS 450). Two solutions: - Shut off the game and make a break for an hour, - Or decrease the resolution and graphic qualities. I think this website give some "prudent" indications and slightly underrated (but eliminates bad surprises)... For GTAV (with this website), the GTX 650ti is "medium". So, yes with this 765M, you can play on medium for 1-2 hours. . wah007
I have an fx-8320 and it says it will run on medium. It should run on high as the official requirements are overrated anyway. Andreas
This website is more misleading and inaccurate than anything else. Please refer to the pinned Can I Run It? thread, if you want to know whether your PC can run the game.
