Vineyard explosion.

Recommended Posts

So whenever I stand around at the vineyard across the river south of Zancudo for whatever reason ( I spawn there as Trevor and stand around as I'm not playing) there will be a random explosion, NPC's will start running my way, so I run in the direction they came from hoping to see what it was. (This happens About Once a day in game time).

There is a Cropduster flying around there I'm guessing that it crashes instead of despawning when it's time for it to go in the afternoon as it doesn't fly around at night. It would be cool to film so I want to catch it.

Anyone else had experience with the Vineyard Explosion? what I'm guessing is a cropduster crash/glitch.

Edit: So I did some investigating and found out It was a Crop Duster crash, just as I thought:

That sounds similar to the hilarious random plane crashes in San Andreas. I just think back to exploring in the woods on foot and then getting smashed and wasted because some plane would run into a tree and explode.

Good times, man. I'm definitely wanting to experience this when I get back home! Is this on last gen or were you playing next gen?

If a glitch can make a plane crash, giving the illusion of an AI making a mistake, then I say program in more glitches. Random stuff happening in an open world game is what keeps it fun, interesting & fresh. RDR had some of the best glitches of any game (manimals) but they were so rare I never experienced them personally.

NPC's getting run over by other npc's is just hilarious but it often feels like I'm the only one influencing the world of GTA's state of San Andreas. What GTA VI needs is something similar to Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis system (only read about it), where certain npc's (with a decent backstory) can hold a grudge against you & exact revenge (in a number of different ways) against you at certain points throughout the story.

Jumbo jets (and gas stations) need way bigger fireballs because watching that video of Michael's house, the explosion is embarrassing. If you had the sound muted you'd think the plane flew into some underground tunnel. There should be massive fireballs with thick heavy smoke afterwards that blocks the sun. They have particle shadow casting from sunlight. Why they didn't bother revamping the explosion particle effects is beyond me.

I'll visit the vineyard on my 360 and see if I can get the event to occur. I'll try switching to Trevor to see if I come across spawning in that area. The videos are so great! We need more of this, we have poor npc drivers, why not more poor npc pilots? Ha I'm sure it's all unintentional.

I'm not sure but On the first video, I think because I was standing in the path where it normally crashes it kept flying around on it's normal looped path well into the night (I was standing in front of where it would crash to get a good shot, but it wasn't happening) until I moved away a bit(where I'm standing in night part of video)also I don't know if it's part of the glitch but no pilot could be found after.

That jumbo looks a lot more like the San Andreas style glitch (planes flight path not parallel to the ground),and I agree it's weird without the anticipated visible explosion, kinda like it just disappeared into a 'wormhole'(note: for Secrets and Mysteries topic, 'Los Santos Triangle') I also recall hearing booms at Michael's but not seeing what it was, If it's anything similar to the Crop duster it may happen at that same area, and be able to be captured/viewed again, would be great if there was some traffic spawned behind the buildings, a chain reaction explosion would scare the sh*t out of me if I didn't see what caused it.

(Maybe someone could spawn twenty cars in the impact zone of the crop duster and hope for something amazing to happen)

The smaller commercial jets I think they're called Shamals, travel really fast from what I see from the ground watching them, would be interesting if the Michaels house one was sometimes one of those.

I want to see the blimp fail.

I think what is happening is that the day laborers shown in the original GTAV "in full development" trailer just got damn tired of being gassed by the Crop Dusters, and so in the past year, they pooled their meager daily wages to buy a Heavy Sniper so they can take out the pilot and bring down the plane. :p
