Saving failed, unable to connect to Rockstar game services

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am having a problem with my GTA online not saving, it constantly says "Saving failed, unable to connect to Rockstar game services" and has never done this before, I have tried everything i have read online eg restart ps3, restart network, try to force saves etc. everything else works completely fine in the game and there is no problem with my internet connection. So my question is, will it be okay to delete GTA V off of my ps3 (or just delete the last update) and make sure i still keep my save game data? If so could i please have step by step instructions? I am only wanting to do this as i have run out of other options, unless somebody can think of an alternative to fix this issue. Thanks!

Interesting.. then have you tried deleting the game data itself instead of the game? Go to game data utility and look for GTA V and delete the file there by pressing triangle.

(This doesn't delete your save data so don't worry)

Yeah as long as you're connected to the internet I believe, worth a shot...

other suggestions include changing your DNS to -

Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:

2001:4860:4860::8888

2001:4860:4860::8844

(Change it through your network settings on your PS3)

And the final choice would have to be re-installing the game sadly... but again your saves should be fine.

If none of that works then you should submit a ticket to R* here

Thank you! I will go through all these steps until something works

Have you tried saving with other games? Have you checked your Internet connection? Wifi or wired? Have you tried an in game Quick Save (using in game cell phone)?

Have you tried switching consoles location? mmm... :panic:

I, myself, have been getting this (save error) for last three days. Unsure why, but notice my Nat Type has been saying "Failed." I set a DMZ back in November 2014 and had the odd GTA online connection or save issues but out of nowhere my Nat type (used say Nat Type 2) says failed, I have to re-do connect, test connection or turn off/on PS3 hoping the connsction with say Nat Type - 2. I'm removed my DMZ a day ago now but no changes. Deleted all saved game files etc as GTA online would say it's unable to load character 1 and if I hit [RETRY] I would load into online but after a minute it say signed out from PSN (even tho it shows me still

Signed in) or I get lagged out and every online player in session leaves.

Followed lot steps on YouTube, Google and asked skype people who know a fair bit about this sh*t and nothing worked. British mate on Skype reckons throw my router out the c*nts f*cked but all other wi/fi devices work perfectly fine.

All ports, firewall and blah blah is/has not changed to be blocked in/out bound traffic..

This makes my GTA online game experience f*cked as of late and spams up R* can't save my game to cloud servers. I'm on PS3, but still the problems online need a fix, put the time in for PS3, I mean cutout the online sh*t not needed but crates lag/discs space limitations fillings whatever, 13 player sessions on PS3, this 16 lag/disconnect bullsh*t with saving error had got to go already!

This exact same thing happened to me yesturday or the day before (I forgot lol). I just disconnected from GTAO and reconnected and it was fixed. For me even when it had the message and I disconnected, it saved. Things are crazy at the Rockstar North Offices lol (im on 360 btw)
