perhaps because limited weapon and you managed to get " ownership certificate " due the musket is still on ammu-nation once bought , available for customization or refill ammo

 

or the musket just dropped underneat you , so your char automatically pick it up

You can't drop that or the Gusset Sweeper, for some annoying reason. I think the word we're looking for here is 'bug', <sarcasm>but I find that highly unlikely, given the bug-free experience that we've all had so far.</sarcasm>

I don't think you can drop DLC update weapons for other people to pick up..

The musket wants to stay with you.

 

 

But yeah, as other say, it's probably because it's a limited DLC weapon.

it most likely you cannot drop it because giving " newbie " a tremendous firepower , even if they has no reserve magazine or low shooting skill

 

i dunno how to pick up weapon on ground as " ammo " like SP does

if u have over 1k rounds you cant rockstar logic

You cant drop DLC weapons for other players to pick up. You were able to drop the guns before but Rockstar removed it in a patch because people somehow were accidentally dropping those guns and losing them forever. Once you get a limited edition gun you're stuck with it forever.
