thehambone
GTASum is a simple tool that updates the checksum on any GTA III-era gamesave, regardless of the game it is for or the size of the file. This is useful if you are editing gamesaves with a hex editor. The tool has a drag-and-drop interface, so updating a gamesave's checksum is a simple as dragging the file into the program. It also gives you the option of browsing for a file. You can even update multiple files at once! If you happen to drag a file that is not a GTA III-era gamesave, the program will warn you and ask if you would like to continue (you may corrupt the file if you do so). GTASum includes an output window at the bottom (which can be hidden) that shows the status of the file(s) you've input. There is also an option to keep the program on top of all other windows, so it'll never get lost within the other x number of windows you have open. The program is written in Java, so Java 7 (or higher) needs to be installed on your computer in order for it to run.
