'BLOCKED' when inviting ?

What's the deal with joining a lobby, inviting all in said lobby to a job/playlist, and 14/16 players coming back 'BLOCKED' ? Especially frustrating when it's an invite to a derby style GTA race, where killing is promoted. Like it's hard enough to get people to join something, why is everyone blocked from joining ? I wish there was an option to say something like 'I'll take anyone, block no one from joining please'.

 

I assume all the blocked players are bad sports ? Something like that ? Or too high/low of a level compared to me ?

No, if they're a bad sport, it actually says Bad Sport. It could be a connection issue, I don't know.

I have all custom jobs blocked on the 360, It more then likely that.

Most likely it's like Avi88 said.

It's more of an attempt to block the MillionRPMillion$$ deathmatches. Unfortunately that means it blocks good created jobs as well.

That explains why it happens on XBox, but not the PS3/4. There isn't an option on the Playstation.

if you keep spamming the auto invite button it happens sometimes its probs this if it was 14/16 players getting blocked

Happens to me all the time on PS4. Its because you are spamming invites.

 

If you click on any of the options "skill matched players" for example, a bunch of times in a row, then It says blocked because it only allows invites to be sent to the same person so many times within a given time period.

 

 

Or they just blocked custom jobs. Happens to me on R* created stuff all the time.

If you constantly invite someone or spam invite it just says they are blocked, and it won't send any more requests to them for that session. Dont worry, its nothing serious

At least we don't have to see all the invites to the retarded user created content. I've seen 0 decent user created anything for GTAO. I can live with never seeing any more

The reason they would be blocked is because the has blocked the person that he wants to invite or the person getting invited is playing on a previous update.

I have had the same problem and that how we fixed it.

There could be more reasons but these are the ones I know of

Firstly, Welcome to the GTA Forums!

Secondly, please don't use a crazy big font size, its annoying.

Thirdly, You can't access GTAO if your not on the latest update.

Forthly, no its not because the person has blocked the person? Wut... Its there to prevent spam.

I haven't blocked anyone and was trying to invite my friends to heists and still got the "blocked" error.

This has bugged me for weeks but today I finally figured it out.

 

Hopefully this works for you too.

 

The person you are inviting...

needs to join the R* Social Club.
