OrionSR
The purpose of this topic is to provide Samutz a database of glitched saves to use for testing updates to GTASnP. For reference on the types of glitches we are looking for see: SA Save File Glitch Detection and Repair hmvartak's Online Glitch Repair Tool GTA SA Savegame Editor v3.0 by Paul Breeuwsma: I am creating glitches as naturally as possible in game using v1 PC saves from the local All Game Mission Save Files database as a common reference. Cleo is being used to create glitches quickly but I'll be careful not to added any other problems. Naturally occurring glitches would be better. So if you've got a glitched save on hand then please provide more examples. ________________ Basketball Glitch - PCv1 http://gtasnp.com/45831 Pool Player Glitch - PCv1 http://gtasnp.com/45833 (doesn't occur without mods on PC anyway) Taxi Glitch - PCv1 http://gtasnp.com/45834 Gym Glitch -PCv1 http://gtasnp.com/45835 (1) Madd Dogg Glitch - PCv1 http://gtasnp.com/45836 (saved in front of aggressive vendor) Blackboard Gets Deleted -PCv2 http://gtasnp.com/download/24365 (blackboard will be deleted if Driving or Bike school is triggered, really rare) Gym Glitch Collection by hmvarak - IIRC, not all have the glitch, they may have used the tool just to be sure. 1) I got mixed up on this one, Gym limit was exceeded then CJ ate 10 meals and quickly saved while a phone call is pending. So it's set up for a traffic fix test on eating and phone calls but the gym glitch won't be active until next year (reset in game day and month to 0 for a new year). Note that the gym glitch is always present any time the gym limit has been exceeded but it only active part time. Something like; if exceeded on June 14th the glitch is active for the first two weeks of the 1st half of the year - so 25% glitched. Game Month and Day are not variables that can be viewed in game. ________________ BTW, I am recreating the conditions to make a glitch but not verifying anything in the save. May check against other tools. Does anyone have a good traffic glitch save (over 150 hours) for PC? I could create a traffic glitch save without too much trouble. I just need to tweak some timers and run around with a wanted level getting in cars and grabbing pickups. The traffic glitch isn't on or off, it's a matter of degree based on the global timer and 150 hours is only the standard of "it's pretty hard not to notice." A fully glitched save would be of more use to a repair tool. I was considering the idea of making v2 glitched saves without cleo but I don't have a good database of v2 saves that isn't converted from v1, so getting completely natural v2 glitches isn't practical. I list the glitch making strategies. Maybe some v2 players can help out. Basketball Glitch - save in Madd Dogg's Mansion. This usually works; it might help to spin slowly in circles for a bit to give the ball a chance to spawn. Pool Player Glitch - Mods are needed on PC; might glitch naturally on mobile. Save next to a pool player using a SaveAnywhere mod, moving a disk next to a pool table, or installing a pool table next to a save disk. Taxi Glitch - PC players can fly or boat directly east of the ship docked off the SE corner of the map in the LS docks. About 600 meters off shore (viewing distance to the ship on a nice day) is a zone that will glitch up the taxi missions so no fares ever appear. Madd Dogg Glitch - PC players enter "Peds Attack Each Other" AJLOJYQY and save. Madd Dogg's mission isn't needed. We can test with vendors. fnxrak
I have a few naturally occurring saves, but you really have to double check them as I'm not 100% sure of the saves and I can't test them at this point as all I have installed is the steam version and doesn't load these saves as they are V1 LOLOL Traffic Glitch (way past 150 hours): http://gtasnp.com/download/45837 This one should have the Basketball Glitch (almost sure) and probably the Gym glitch I guess (but not sure): http://gtasnp.com/download/45840 PS. Not Sure at all don't remember playing and getting wasted 25 times LOLOL might be a test save though This one it's my glitched Catalina Phone Call Save (Early Mafia Call) don't know if you want it but anyway: http://gtasnp.com/download/45839 Now I know I used to have a taxi glitch save but not sure if it's this one or even if I still have it: http://gtasnp.com/download/45841 OrionSR 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/764353-%E2%98%85-glitched-save-database-for-gtasnp-testing/#findComment-1066893552 Share on other sites

khsh97
Can we create Madd dog glitch with cleo for Android? The basketball was already present in my 100% save file even though I never save the game at Madd dogs Mansion and we fixed it by hex editor. The pool player glitch was created by saving next to pool player using saveanywhere mod and we fixed it too. Now the gym glitch and Madd dog glitches are remaining to be created on Android. PM me the scripts for for creating these glitches, So I can test out the fix of these glitches and then try to create these glitches naturally without cleo. OrionSR
Alt Taxi Glitch - PCv1 (really? not in my game) http://gtasnp.com/45851 The taxi glitch save listed above is a variation with the glitchy byte moved to where I thought it should be. The fares spawn without problem for me with this save. They don't spawn on the one I listed before. Both have a taxi in the Johnson garage for easy testing. I'm not sure why the documentation doesn't match observations so I'm asking if others can confirm which save is glitchy in their game. Mike Toreno Glitch - http://gtasnp.com/45852 This save has been artificially glitched to prevent the mission from progressing when CJ enters the Doherty zone (not displayed due to the glitch) near the destination blip. However, a little farther south is a smaller Doherty zone that will allow the mission to progress. I also added a glitch to the Easter Basin zone of the next destination, but another Easter Bay zone farther north will allow the mission to progress. Besides Taxi and Toreno, it looks like problems with the Easter Bay zone might cause problems with Wear Flowers in Your Hair, but this glitch has never been reported. I've never actually seen Easter Bay glitched. I know I've seen the glitch in DOH2 but not in DOH1. It could be rare, or word got out about the dangers of flying off the map, or maybe the out of range errors don't extend to these bytes. The Pimping mission, btw, relies heavily on zones. I haven't heard of any zone related problems. Added: I tried glitching with DOH1(01) and DOH2(01) but the mission worked as usual. DOH(01) and EASB(01) caused problems with their associated zones. Lethal Vaccine
_Douglas_ had a glitched PS2 Save which had the Basketball Glitch and Traffic Glitch, but I believe OrionSR already helped him through fixing it with a Save Editor. Something about the Global Timer. I don't know. All this stuff is over my head and most of it is PC Stuff which I am not playing... OrionSR
I can make a traffic glitch save for you, but probably not until tomorrow. However, it might help if you made your own glitched save so you know what problems to look for. All you need to do is add a lot of time to the global and weather timers. IIRC, 0x70000000 sets the clock to a little over 500 hours, which causes havok on Android and PS2; I can't see how you could possibly miss it on PC. Cause weapons to be dropped in an area and move away (distant timers are usually static), use pickups and car generators, and get a wanted level and drive through police trigger zones. After saving there really shouldn't be much difference between this save and one with a naturally incremented timer, and you'll have specific examples to verify. The "strength" of the traffic glitch has not been tested on newer PC hardware. The "strength" of the traffic glitch has not been tested on newer PC hardware. I didn't know hardware could affect it. I Increased the timers by 0x70000000 and only saw a handful of instances of cars spawning in backwards, but they quickly did J-turns to correct themselves. I ended up maxing out the timers and that's when I really noticed a difference, such as cars spawning on top of or inside each other, flying across the screen, etc. I still would have like to had a few saves where it occurred "naturally" for testing purposes. Lethal Vaccine
Ok...This appears to happen in my Game, too. But NOT just in SA. Cars do 90 degree turns once in a while. They aren't even going forward, it just turns 90 degrees really fast. Cars drive on the sidewalks, the fix themselves and go onto the road. Cars sometimes come flying in out of nowhere and usually are sideways in the roads and I run into them as they came from nowhere. There is more chaotic driving, in general. They also appear driving backwards and then somehow fix themselves when they turn. This happens in VC, SA, LCS, and VCS for me. It happens in III, as well, but not as much as the others. It's very bad in all those games for me... @Samutz, thanks for the other link to the topic. thehambone
Militia, can you upload one of your III saves that shows that behavior to SnP and share the link here? I'd like to take a look at that. Lethal Vaccine
I can, but III is a very bad example of this. It's megatons WORSE in my VC, SA, LCS, and VCS Saves. It's identical in all 4 of these Games, too. The only one which "gets a break" is III, as it doesn't happen very often at all. It's super bad in LCS, like unbelievably bad. Maybe LCS/VCS are so bad cuz it's PSP Ports? I have no idea... Now what total playing times do I have? Probably around 24 hours total playing time in III. Can't tell EXACTLY as there is no "Total Playing Time" Stat, like there is in the other Games... VC - 23 hours and 56 minutes - Still sh*tty, chaotic driving SA - 54 hours and 53 minutes - Still sh*tty, chaotic driving LCS - I have 6 Save Files and my best one that I did quickly is 21 hours and 35 minutes - Still sh*tty, chaotic driving VCS - I only have 2 Save Files and only 1 of them is fully complete and it's around 35 hours - Still sh*tty, chaotic driving It literally is the EXACT same in all these games and extremely minimal in III... I look at it like this: My PS3 is old. It's from 2008. Perhaps the hardware inside is "slowing down." I am not sure. I also learned the map better in all these Games, thus I drive faster and not run into anything as much. The faster I drive, the WORSE this "glitch" gets, no matter which game it is, as well... These cars that drive strangely, come into view like POP-IN happens. You can be flying a Maverick in SA and all of a sudden a bunch of tall trees will pop up around you, sometimes costing you your aircraft when it gets tangled up in the trees or hitting a billboard, etc...Well when I drive, the cars farther in the distance have strange behavior. As I get closer to them, they fix themselves. In VCS, cars spawn on the grass and sidewalks a lot. As I get closer, they fix themselves and try getting over to the road. EDIT: I know this is an SA topic, but literally this "well known glitch" in SA happens in ALL my 3D GTA Games...Just pointing that out... OrionSR
Samutz and thehambone, my observations suggest that this is a very mechanical glitch. Naturally glitched saves have provided no additional information since the issue has been traced to the global timer. With the recent observation that hardware can effect the strength of the glitch I don't see much hope of finding any old saves with thousands of hours of game play. If we can't trust our artificially glitched saves then we can't trust the fix either. I'm not sure what to make of the hardware/strength issue. I've avoided speculating on the issue but I've always wondered about how the 128-bit hardware of the PS2 might process the information differently, and if I might be able to detect a difference between 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows running on relatively equally powered computers - doesn't seem likely considering that SA is installed as a 32-bit program. Maybe someone could compare the same PC with different video cards - for all I know it's GPU and not CPU related. I've brought up the issue in the SilentPatch topic but Silent hasn't commented on the issue. Maybe this new information will be helpful. Militia, I'm not sure if your observations are related to the "traffic glitch" we are describing. Your hours of game play are much lower than expected for PS2. Could it be different for bcPS3? There are a lot of weird traffic issues in the GTA III engine used by all of these games. They are often hard to weed out from the symptoms that I associate with a large global timer. For all I know all of these issues are related, but for now I would suggest that any traffic problems present on a brand new save are normal, and not part of this glitch. The descriptions of your observations don't appear to match the observations that I associate with the "traffic glitch." Perhaps my observations are incomplete. Lethal Vaccine
OrionSR, That is what I am wondering, too. Maybe it's related to having the BCPS3. HOWEVER, I could of sworn when I played these games in the past this did NOT happen. Although, now that I got into Special Vehicle collecting and things of this nature, I try to learn as much as I can and do experience it all or as much as I can while going for 100% Completion. I tend to pay more attention and try and learn everything about the 3D Era GTA Games. It's not just one, or two. I try and explore them all, just as much as the next. My problem with traffic appears to mainly influence VC, SA, LCS, VCS, but at times can be glitchy in III. Especially with larger vehicles, like the damn Coach or Linerunner, etc, etc... It's true, though. Even on a brand new Save File, this "glitch" occurs with abnormal driving. However, NOT in SA. But later on with my SA Save which is now middle 50's for total playing time hours, I see this happen a lot, too. III, VC, LCS, and VCS happen from the start with 0 hours and 0% Completion. But in SA, it happens once I generated hours into the 50's for total playing time. It's not as bad as others have experienced on 150+ hour Saves, but it's "noticeable" even in the 50's. One of my good qualities is being observant, and I can see it happen. Not sure why it's quirky in the other 3D titles from the beginning, though. Whereas in SA, it literally has something to do with total playing time. In the other games, it seems to not have an effect about the traffic since it happens with 0 hours, too...
