Do you guys like GTA V 1st person?

So I have had GTA V next gen for over a month now and I think its ok to mess about with but GTA V first person is not my cup of tea,i prefer the old way.What's your opinion?

I never use it on foot. Occasionally I'll drive from FPV but that gets old real quick. It's like staring through a tunnel trying to drive and many vehicle interiors are either poorly designed or identical to one another. It was a great attempt by Rockstar to bring in FPV fanboys but if it's missing in GTA VI I wont be crying about it.

in a nutshell

 

I mean it's great and works well, it's nice to explore the city from an other point of view especially on foot, i catch new details everytime i use it but for gameplay purposes i prefer 3rd person experience, GTA is and will always be 3rd person for me

It was OK I guess, shooting isn't as good as in Third person and driving can get annoying, First person shooter games aren't my cup of tea, but I can understand the effort that went into it.

 

I'd rather see a return of the top down view, thanks.

I feel like from a development point of view it was an incredible waste of time and manpower.

 

From a gameplay perspective it's merely okay. I use it far less than 3rd person though.

Well, it'll be much, much better in VI.

i like it but its not perfect. i think it was a good first attempt at adding a fpv but there are a few flaws such as the wierd walk you do if you see friends walking. sometimes when i take cover and when i aim the aimer goes in a differen direction that i pointed at. all in all its fun to drive in and walk around on the streets but for gunfights and serious gameplay i still use third person. that being said i wouldent mind it returning in the next gta or red dead sequal with some tweaking. i would love to ride a horse and have shootouts in first person.

It's great for immersion, I use it 80 percent of on foot, driving I use third person 80 percent of the time holding the camera higher up above the car. One problem is if you want to rush out of a safehouse you can only run inside safehouses in Third Person, and aiming a prat fall through glass doors Is better in third person.

 

I got used to it, but my first minutes using it caused some frustration with FPV, looking down having head looking to the left, thinking why can't I move my head freely to the right without the body moving, why am I looking at my left arm. Also in a lot of cars If I want to view the speedo I have to press X to duck down to actually be able to see it, I like to use FPV in cars when having conversations with passengers and looking at them, which reverse bonnet cam was good for in original gen.

 

Edit: Again I really like it but another tiny flaw, I expected more fun not knowing up from down when falling great distances, I can't remember how Original Gen worked but now we seem to just fall with back to the ground facing the sky, no fun really and I'm no expert but not realistic.

On PS4, what's with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person controller settings? I'm a little confused. Is it for when I play as F, M or T?

Why can't we set up the controls the way we want to?

I like it. Personally though I don't like how generic vehicle interiors are and some of them are quite out of place. The dominator and gauntlet for instance are both modern muscle cars but the interior resembles that of 1970's muscle cars. I think this was a last minute decision to add it. Hopefully in VI it'll be much better and every vehicle will have a unique interior. Other than that it adds a whole new aspect to the game, especially shooting cops out the rear window.

EDIT: also it's abit of a bummer that the wipers don't function and rain doesn't show on the windsheild, when it starts raining I usually switch to third person.

I see lot comments and stuff that next gen is pretty muh same as old gen but lets remove FPV and game with better graphics.

Not keen on it. GTA should not be first person. I mean I thought it was stupid at first I was like "FPS on GTA? Dumb idea. Just leave that to mods." I wasn't satisfied, but definitely not close from disappointed. I think it will be better on the PC though.
