Why aren't items unlocking (GTA V PS4 online)

I should have received the helicopter pickup and the mercenaries from Merryweather now. Yet when I go to my phone to use, it says "Wait for Merryweather to contact you". I'm 45 in rank and they should have unlocked at 30 and 35. Also things from Lester haven't unlocked yet either. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

You must wait until the respective contact calls you. Try doing missions from Lester and others and they should unlock.

This was taken from a difference thread with the same issue...Do the following

 

So basically: Talk to Lester, then sit in freeroam and wait for new calls. When Ron eventually calls you, go watch the cutscene by Trevor then wait in free-roam some more for more calls. Eventually (slowly and steadily) you will start to unlock all the things you've been missing. It's all triggered by the Lester (and Trevor) cutscene.

yup hes right Lester and trevor scenes. If you are 100% sure you watched the clip w trevor at his trailor then there is a problem....
