That Rolling Crap Doesn't Work

Recommended Posts

I think I speak for my friends, my crew when I say that that rolling crap doesn't work it just as stupid as it is to use passive mode in free roam. Now please note that this thread isn't a debate about passive mode, no, it's about people who roll in the always insane gun fights.

See what I like to do when people insist on doing that rolling sh*t is pull out a mini gun and rip their body apart, or I also have a special way of taking them out. You must act quick though. See instead of seeing who can out roll each other like most do just stand still, stop shooting, wait for them to come up from rolling, and as they come up before they can shoot again, take aim and fire. You may have to free aim if you aren't already in a free aim lobby, but try and go for their head. You should be able to kill them in no more then 3 shots. I'm only making this thread just to help some newbies out because I see them struggling in the free roam lobbies.

If you have any thoughts on what you do to counter that rolling sh*t, please comment below.

I did and you're sounding very butthurt. Rolling is a tactic and a viable one whether you like it or not. PvP sucks anyway as auto-aim makes 'skill' in GTAO meaningless, who rolls wins. Surprisingly I find very few others who roll and it's probably why I come out on top in most deathmatches

First off I'm not butt hurt. Second, if you would have read the actual post I stated that is just what I've done to counter. Sure I use that rolling crap too because it's part of the game and I'll take advantage of that. I'm not saying at all you shouldn't use it. I never said that! I also don't understand why you insist on trash talk when were not even playing the game right now! I can tell you play it to much because you talk on a forum like the trolls in the game. SMH

The reason people do that is cause it breaks the enemy's autoaim and forces them to reacquire their target and is a viable strategy when fighting in a lobby where the aimbot can be used, it forces the opponent to aim manually and if they suck at it they're always gonna lose. Not only that there is a 2 or 3 second cooldown that you have to wait for in between combat rolls.

I think rolling is gay....soooooooooo GAY..... it looks so stupid and yes it can work for some, But most of the time my Combat MG gets them but rolling is not realistic in PVP battles, Even more so when you watch the DM replays on YouTube.... it's muppets rolling around like some 'seizure plagued' players well lame I like to see shot move on.... However my fave is still Proxy Mines....sit and wait and watch..... :D

Most of the time, when people attempt to roll, it's so easy to get them in the head when they're making their way back up. People need to learn better tactics.

You and I play together and you know I dominate these fools like Mr. T dominates a burrito. 1) If they roll left, roll right. 2) stop shooting while they roll and as they come out start shooting again. They aren't that hard to kill if you work on it some.

Good for you. You still look like a c*nt, though.

I like when they don't realise I'm on a roof and they're rolling around on the road. Out of roll - heavy sniper - bang!

When someone goes to roll, roll with them and beat them at their own game. I like to think of rolling and moving while shooting like a dancer with good movement and footwork. Its a tactic that works 50/50 but best way to put em down is with the auto shotty. That b*tch can shred through anything it pops.

Combat Roll is overpowered in the game,as they come out of the roll they only need one shot to kill you, that's what I don't get, they can't all be making head shots that accurately. In DM'S you can shotgun them as they come up,but mostly the roller gets the kill regardless of how many rounds you have put in him first.

Alot of stuff in this game is overpowered but theres always a way to counter everything, it just takes some figuring out combined with fast reflexes & coordination. My general rule when facing another player rolling or not is ALWAYS aim high, shooting from shoulder down takes too long to kill and gives them just enough time to counterattack.

Never asked why people did it. I know why they do it. Did you read the thread? No, it shows.

Go practice and play free aim.

That way you will be used to shooting players while rolling and out of lock on distance.= win.

As stated in my thread if you would have read it, I implied I'm excellent at free aim. I've played BF4 since release, thats all free aim!

The only advice I give is having a real "upper" advantage. What I mean by this is going on the nearest building possible. You are higher than your player so you have way more options such as sniping, rpging, stickybomb/mines trap, etc. If they roll on the street whey they look up at you just go a few feet back. Then take out the homing launcher/semi-auto sniper if your a low level and kill them.

Yeah this is one of the biggest advantages that people tend to overlook & not use. If you know your environment, you will strongly have the upperhand on some who gets impatiently runs out in the open and doesn't use cover.

Have some pride, you look like a chimp!!

Autoshotty makes quick work of them

Stay in cover. They roll. Upon them stopping their little bunny roll, shoot em'.. Simple.

This. Twice now I've been attacked by a roller while I was behind cover. Pop out, fire a few rounds, they rolled, repeat until they die.

Heres what people dont understand, you dont actually roll. yes the animation shows a roll, but the the hit boxes do not. Since their is no kneel or prone, hit boxes for your character are always in a standing stance. So when you shoot at an enemy rolling, dont down at him. Aim for his upper body and kill him anyway.

It only works as a defense or offense, because people see the roll and dont understand the mechanics.
