I'm Level 73: No merryweather, no lester...

Redesigned Thread, I solved my own problem.

 

The Problem

I am level 73 and have been experiencing problems with with my contacts.

 

When calling Lester, all I could do was set bounties. I didn't have Merryweather as a contact.

 

I researched the issue online, and the Rockstar support website suggests watching the cutscene between Trevor and Ron as a solution by going to the T on your map and walking in Trevors house.

 

The problem was that I didn't have a T on my map, and upon walking upto Trevors trailer, nothing happened.

 

The Solution

My problem isn't entirely solved yet, but I'll tell you what worked for me:

 

I watched the cutscene by Lester (By going to the L on the map and walking into his house and his room).

After watching this cutscene, I've started getting call after call by new contacts.

Dom called me, followed by Ron, then Merryweather, then Brucie, then Martin, then Lester.

 

So basically: Talk to Lester, then sit in freeroam and wait for new calls. When Ron eventually calls you, go watch the cutscene by Trevor then wait in free-roam some more for more calls. Eventually (slowly and steadily) you will start to unlock all the things you've been missing. It's all triggered by the Lester (and Trevor) cutscene.

TL:DR version --

 

I'm level 74. I play on 360. I don't have merryweather as a contact. I only have two options unlocked from lester - set bounty & turn blind-eye.

 

I've been told to watch the cutscene by Trevor, but don't have a T on the map. When I walk upto his house, nothing happens.

 

So instead I watched the cutscene by Lester (because I do have an L on my map). Upon doing so, I unlocked the "turn blind-eye" option but nothing else.

 

I have never touched campaign. Only played online. Any help will be appreciated.

Perhaps I should open another thread with the issue "Trevor isn't on my map!"

 

Rockstar's solution to my problem has seemed to work for a lot of people: watch the cutscene by trevor and ron. BUT I CAN'T!!!! -_-

Does anybody know how I can get trevor to show up on my map? Do I need to play campaign to a certain point or something?? I need to watch that cutscene....

When he sends a text saying (something like this), "I need find out if you're fo'real, show me your shooting skills." It is usually right at the beginning of online.

 

Another thing is have you done the change player appreance glitch? This sometimes confuses your main characters online progress and I heard (if you delete first/second character used for the glitch once completed) you can lose all Pegasus vehicles.

 

Edit: Make sure you played all contact missions, done (atleast once or twice) a skydiving, race, survival, etc. Kill target, deliver car for Simeon and call Bruice etc. Try all that and if what I'm offered don't work, hopefully someone on the forums has a better option or knows how to fix this problem you're having.

When I met lester yesterday and watched the cutscene for the first time, he sent me a mission saying "I need to find out if you're for real" (or something along those lines) where I needed to destroy a sh*tload of cop vehicles.

 

I haven't played any death match mini-game because I absolutely hate deathmatches.

 

I've never done any type of glitch in GTA Online. So I know the problem isn't due to any type of glitch (on my end, anyway).

 

Also, it's worth noting that I've unlocked every gun, car upgrade, etc. etc. that I'm supposed to. So the game definitely realizes I'm level 73 and not level 10.

 

The only things I haven't unlocked is all the sh*t in my contacts. (as far as I know)

Sorry, I think the deathmatch I speak about could be actually a last team standing? It's over by El Burrio Heights (I think?) it's by the ammunition store. You should got a text from Gerald when you're around level 4-10 (I think?).

 

If that above is not causing the problem, maybe delete the game and re-install the game. Don't need to deleted saved files but online progress is saved on R* servers so you don't lose anything online related if you deleted saved files, only story mode progress would be deleted if saved files are deleted when you un-install - re-install.

I think the problem was me never seeing the cutscene by Lester.

 

I just logged online for the first time today, and Merryweather gave me a call. Now I've unlocked ammo drop, but nothing else. I should have everything unlocked by them.

 

So I'll just keep waiting.

I'm level 73 and definitely can't remember any missions that were sent to me 65 levels ago. But I'll keep an eye out for said mission now.

 

I would consider reinstalling but I have two consoles at two different houses and I have the same problem with both consoles.

EDIT!!!:

 

Ron just gave me a call and now Trevor is a contact. I can finally watch that god damn cutscene. I think this just solved my problem, I'll let you guys know.

 

 

To anybody with the same issue:

Watch the cutscene by Lester (L) on your map. After that, complete the mission he sends you. After that, wait a while and Merryweather will give you a call. After that, wait some more and Ron will give you a call telling you to meet Trevor and putting a T on your map.

I just deleted my second character and my Pegasus contact is gone... I had a $1,000,000 buzzer... now it's gone... this game is really getting on my nerves lately.

UPDATE:

 

I've now watched the cutscene by both Lester and Trevor. Now I'm getting random calls by new people (merryweather, ron, dom).

 

After answering all these calls (and waiting 10-30 minutes inbetween for another one), I'm slowly unlocking stuff that I should already have. Lester contacted me so now I can locate a car. Merryweather contacted me so now I can call in an ammo crate.

 

Everything else is still locked. I will just keep waiting for them to contact me. The problem seems to be slowly solving itself.
