Teun & McKay I have been messing with story ideas as well going to have to send them to you when I get the chance.

I have been having problems with a few things as of late namely the bsp files. I can't find anything that will open it or convert it. I need something that will do that so I can bring Carcer city into the mod. Please let me know if there is a work around ok.

I brought 3d MAX 8, The program looks well cool.

 

Now I need to learn how to use it smile.gif

 

So lets find Kams scripts.

 

Update.

 

I've made some small new models:

 

Retaining sea wall, 3 sizes.

Squares for land, 3 sizes.

Stairs, 2 Types and a helipad.

 

All files are saved as dff, tomorrow I need to work out the texture map thingy and col stuff. smile.gif

the col part isn't that hard at all actually textures are another thing all together.

Well Mc-kay already told me that they are not going to finish the GTA San Andreas project, but it will be a target to place San Andreas in Vice City. I think there isn't much original from the Vice City game left in that mod. San Andreas is too unmoddable

Placing SA onto our engine gives us more options, then we could ever having it on the SA engine, because of all the limits.

 

We have a bigger map: 51200X51200 allowing other islands to be around SA, like LC, VC, MC, and MLL.

 

Read the original GTA SA:LVC project thread in maps for more info, taking note of page 1.

Could this thread be locked or moved until I reach a point where I am ready to release this mod again, (Thinking about forum rules.)

 

This post, I don’t know what to really say, Nor do I have any idea on a release date yet.

 

I've had some major setbacks. This is because of limited manpower on the team of a project of this size, and team members who wanted to do their own thing.

 

I also regret that when I first posted this topic on this forum section. I had a working release almost ready. (Map version 3)

 

This is because some members from GTA Ultra; joined our team, in the hope that we could all work together for something bigger and better.

 

So with GTA Ultra’s help we had GTA3 with snow, all seemed good at the time, a mod was released as a team preview, (A work in progress by this team member), but done in a way everything was totally changed from the plan I had already laid out, leaving the rest of my team idle as this member continued to work on the mod for himself.

 

This is not teamwork, and I dad have a working plan at the time (Map Version 3) that had been totally changed without my consent, and since my disapproval off this his work since was never handed over. So I’ve been forced into starting project over. (3 weeks into Map version 5).

 

I want to finish this project, changing map plans has worked out better in a way, each plan has got that much better, taking into account of what has been posted on the forums on how the cities should be.

 

I have no ego or anything to prove here either, I started this for enjoyment reasons only, and as far as I know, I have not stepped on any ones toes, but there sure seems to be a lot of people out there, as far as credit stealing goes.

 

I do need good people on the team, but if your anything like what has happen here, you will have joined the wrong team.

EDIT: Gah, friggin interior code! I'm having some personal problems, Keith.

I'm thinking about some building changes... But I have no clue where to start... sad.gif I want to change some VC buildings, I need to figure this sh*t out. Sorry for all the problems and stuff... I have to do something, I have the feeling I'm useless in this mod, because I don't know what to do. If I can get some VC buildings changed, I will post some screens, if not, I'll post what my problems are and maybe someone can help me... sad.gif

actually no offence taken I know I am pretty F'd up Iwas dropped on

my head as a child had my head stuck in a toilet when I was in grade school

by bullies got my arse kicked on a regular basis in Jr High school because

I was nerdy and a teachers pet. It wasn't till my last year in Jr High school first

year in High school did that crap stop. Growth spurts are a wonderfull thing for one

and being a big fat bastard helps to. Oh and Hobo keep your words kind and sweet

because one day you might have to eat them a little food for thought.

But anyone who read my corny cartoon what did you think ?

I created a small test object first, but I seem to have a problem texturing it?

1. I cut the shape I needed and saved it as coms_landsq.dff (Using 3dsMax7 and Kams script)

 

2. Using TXD builder, I inserted the bmp images I wanted as textures, set as 32bits for all of them, in sizes of 128x128 and 64X64, (12 textures in all)

 

3. Put the com_landsq.dff and newly created com_landsq.txd in to the GTA3.img file.

 

4. Added the IDE and IPL entry

 

IDE: 7556, com_landsq, com_landsq, 1, 140, 0

 

IPL: 7556, com_landsq, 0, -600.99, 1842.6, 1000.944, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, -0.707107, 0.707107

 

?. I had a problem making a col file for this object. (Sort this out later, But I couldn't cut the cloned col in Col_Editer to match the new object), even converting it to 3ds format from the new dff.

 

Viewing the object in moo mapper, I get a white untextured square.

It was my understanding that the modelled object has the textures assigned (ID?) to areas placed on that object?
