the story lines is as follows this little midget dude named frofro and is friend dildo are in search of the one Key of coke to unite them all they run into this wino named gofer and go on this journey to search for the one Key while humping full grown peoples legs and leaving a gooey sticky trail for the ummm oh wait that was lord of the spooge nevermind. I think I will have another beer.

 

Seriously the story will not be revealed untill a later date right now the main concern are buildings mapping coding those kind of important thing ya know?

teun.steenbekkers i have looked at the site and tried to register but the activation email failed to send. also the contact us part done the same. the sites mail feature is not working this may need to be turned on in the php settings somewere or part of the site config is rong. just thought i'd point it out.

is the site hosted on your own computer or by someone else.

 

you'll need to go into the php settings and check that the email info is correct and that the php is NOT set to safe mode this will be found in the php.ini file either in the webserver's program folder area or in c:\windows depending on what you use and how it's setup.

 

also can you also remove or activate my registration (jebus) as i carn't log on or register that name anymore

Hey Guys,

I am going to need someone to do the texturing for me on some of the buildings that I have created as of late. Right now I just finished the bank from the opening sceen from GTA 3. It is finally complete and not just a prop. So if anyone knows how to do textures let me know thanks. Just an FYI I have tried to texture in Zmod but the thing crashes everytime I load a texture so that is a waste of time for me. Texturing in 3ds max is a royal pain in the you know what. The only thing left to add is the col file to the building and then export. So once again if anyone knows anything about texturing let me know.

The server was down because my computer was off. Is it still slow, can someone go to the site and register? I'm gonna edit it and maybe make a little page which says the server is off or something.

 

Is it possible to make a page which tells the computer the site cannot be found and then it displays a message like: The server is down, try again later.

there is a way but it's not really that good.

 

you'll need to get a free host page with php. then using php tell it to check if the home page exsists on your server. if yes tell it to automaticly go there if not tell it to say "Server Down". i havn't coded in php for a while but i know this is possible. just change the cjb link to the script you have up and that should work.

 

the other alternative is to ask the cjb if they could do that.

 

I've checked your page and it works including regestration. the emails arn't getting sent out still though.

Everything is now up and running, we need to place lots of stuff in the forum, but we'll do that...

 

Spaz o Mataz: Wizard has a server too, but his runs on US time, would it be possible (if I install the site on there) to go to mine when his is offline, to his when mine is offline, and display a message when neither of them is online? Question 2: Is it possible to copy the database from one server to another when changes occur?

you'd just need to alter the redirecting php script/page to look for one and if it's not there then the other before displaying the server down message.

 

 

it can be possible to do that. you'd probbably need to look into this more.there are a few ways it can be done but off the top of my head i have 3 different ways.

 

1. once again you'd need to make a php page/script that copys all the database back and forth. it'll take some time to write one but it's possible none the least but you'll need to make sure that only one server is on and people carn't write to the servers while you copy it or information can be lost. setting up the server to refuse access while syncing would be the easiest.

 

2. config your servers to sync with each other (not sure how)

 

3. if they are both the same page just in two different places get them to connect to the same database that is stored somewere else thats always on. look for a host hat'll allow you to access the mysql databases from your pages also if your going to put files up maybe find somewere else to store them like the database.

 

it would be a hell of a lot easier to just set one up and leave that one running constantly though as all this is going to be a lot of work to setup.
