GTA SOL Online for SA was abandoned. right now there isn't an online client for could support the SOL map but who knows in the future there could be.

Welcome to the GTA SOL modding council.

News: Dec, 22 2016

I have decided to leave SOL as of the 1st Jan, 2016 and head in a new direction. this means GTA: State of Liberty will in one form of another be headed by dkluin. so I can head into new pursuits with GTA; Infusions that will be for rage and maybe other engines.

What does it mean for SOL? everything is subject to change as dkluin sees fit so right now I will not make many changes to what is posted below.

It's been fun working on SOL for the last 12 years but now it's time to move on. I wish the new SOL/Underground team the best of luck.

Below is the roster for team Dkluin.

Other contributors are; I give a hearty thank you too; Fastman92 for doing the limits on the SA/VC engines.

These members must have 5 years activity on GTA Forums with a good posting record (No bad marks against them). You must be knowledgeable about modding, mapping and have some level of coding. You must be passionate about this project and be willing to help others. You must be able to post on this board when required.

These members will be overseeing the progression of GTA State Of Liberty on the GTAIII, VC and SA Renderware engines and Rage.

I am also going to have a members panel under the Forum of Five committee. Seven members who will be part of the SOL team where all that is required is you know at least something about modding and is able to post good content on this thread. Who will able help us form ideas for the new map for Rage and SA and test new tools that are in the works.


Once we have the forum of five setup and in place this page will change again to reflect what needs to be debated and so on, etc.

Project map and variations:
There will be 4 releases of SOL for the VC, SA engines and one release for Rage engine (GTAIV) I am not sure I can touch GTA V just yet??.

GTA SOL Underground (on the SA engine, worked on by team Dkluin)

GTA SOL Trilogy (on the VC engine by Team X-Seti) and the (SA engine version by Team Dkluin)

GTA SOL Stories (SA engine version by Team Dkluin)

GTA SOL Infusions (on the VC, SA and Rage engines by Team X-Seti)

There are only 2 teams. headed by X-Seti and Dkluin, so when I am not around busy with other life matters or sick Dkluin runs the show 100%. however Dkluin will be my successor when the time comes for me to retire from the project.

No, I'll be taking the infusions version of the project and turning this into something special. SOL will become Infusions.

I've been working on improving SOL-I map making it more optimized.

 

Using the VC engine as a test bench, this should pay off getting stuff into rage as well as there is no KED style mapper for the Rage engine, I'm using KED to do this on VC before I port the objects. You could say I should be using 3dsmax, well I had been doing this to some degree but the process with 3dsmax for dropping the same object like a tree or lampost can be slower then having a favorite objects list in KED

 

Some changes to the default map would be to shift LC +4000x and VC +6000 units. this will allow for middle America and more of the south to be modeled to join up for Los Vegas. I also plan on rotating GTA SA islands clockwise so LA is on the West coast and not looking out towards VC as it currently is right now.

 

I had been on about making tools to do this many years ago, I do have some that can modify the water tiles and Radar map but this process there is a lot of messing about using 10 odd times between modifying the files.

 

So what am I planning for this new year!!.

 

A RW/Rage dev suit. This will be a simple process of making / creating your map in 3dmax and exporting this out to your chosen engine in a project build environment where everything from ID and model name tracking, paths to water and converting 3dsmax scene to dff/txd/col, ide and ipl is done for the end user.

I am to stay away from GTA5 for the time being. I normally give 6 years before I work on that game engine.

 

I have my reasons for doing this, for now I have GTAIV and theres plenty of cool things to do.

It's been a long time we are having no update of GTA:SOL Infusions.

 

Has the development stopped?

 

I have confused frequent times with the mod about Trilogy and Infusions. What's the difference between them?

The Mod hasn't stopped at all and please understand that there is one person working on this now. (me)

 

I have no problems at all doing this project as it keeps my mind busy.

 

There is a lot to do in the way of fixing bugs and solving other engine issues (working on the hacks within the SOLcore) before I can release the next version. I set targets for myself that do not always goto plan however i've had a lot of set backs this year alone besides an 8 year old computer that plays up now and again. okey about the versions;

 

Trilogy is just LC, VC and SA untouched and unmodded.

 

Infusions is made from scratch from the ground up, these will be new islands based on the original concept.

I tried the both mod on my windows 10 PC. But everytime game crashed. How can I fix that?

I would need to know a little more about the crash and if you followed the readme file about installing a clean version of Vice City first. Replacing the mod files over it overwriting what is required.

One more of question: X-Seti, In older you mod had no GTA IV and GTA V map for GTASOL here. How to make the Add the GTA IV and GTA V map Into to GTA SOL?

Not sure I understand.

 

RW version has the original cities but remodeled.

 

Rage version will have the Rage era cites plus remodeled vice city. other islands.

 

I do not plan on porting Rage LC or V to RW as this is against GTAF Rules.

I do want to recommend a few changes to the chicago map in terms of design. mainly with the houses being in the north area and with downtown being a full square basically

mhm, that would be pretty interesting as a concept, although execution would need a bit of work
