Well i haven't heard of a band or a recording company sueing a modder for using his music in a mod which is just made for fun and is available for free

That's what I've noticed too. It keeps being brought up but I can't find any proper instances of it.

Very good work m8. I like the weapons and vehicles.

 

Right now your be best to help GTA SOL underground, as I am yet to convert and find out why SA engine is crashing. with stuff I have converted.

That's what I've noticed too. It keeps being brought up but I can't find any proper instances of it.

 

Im just goin by what X-Seti wants... he doesnt want any copyrighted material associated with this mod so therefore I am not using any... if you got an issue, take it up with X-Seti...

 

anyway I also want to make a Freestyle Radio station for Vice City. Freestyle was popular in Miami clubs in the 90s... aswell as in california (my uncle used to break dance) so yea..

What happend with it, well, the version is being worked on, so nothing happend with it.

It'll include the IV era SA map once it's released for the PC.

The GTAV release date is at 14 april, it's going to get delayed again, trust me.

I just installed SOL on a steam release, and it's crashing with "unhandled exception" on setup paths! Please help! Also, it's freezing on "load animations".

I sure hope not. lol But I got tired of waiting to mod the game and jailbroke my PS3. Going to be wierd playing last gen after getting used to the PS4 version. But it will be great once I get that PC copy on my machine and I rarely touch my consoles again. (GTA V is the only game I play on console as of now.)

 

But I'd really like to see LC added to GTA V rather than it being done on IV, and hope it doesn't end up like the SD era SOL's where they are on the VC engine for a while when they would be better on the SA engine. Its for several reasons that I really hope to see it on GTA V.

-GTA V has far superior graphics.

-GTA IV doesn't have the texture blending feature like GTA V does, so the mountains on V's map will look like sh*t unless its redone by hand. If you have played ViIV, you would know what I'm talking about.

-GTA V has multiple licence plates on vehicles so it shouldn't be hard to add more plates.

-GTA V has the snow effect, like what we have seen in GTA Online around Christmas. With the change of 1 value, we can have the snow mod like that. No needing to retexture it, and having snow show up in places it shouldn't.

-GTA V has the ability to load and unload maps in game. We can swap out LC vegetation for winter vegetation when we activate snow. We could switch between the normal map, and the modded map just like that, without having to exit the game.

-GTA V has the ability to change the color of water in different parts of the map so it isn't all one color everywhere.

-GTA V has a much more realistic height limit, and you appear to fly above the clouds when flying planes. Not to mention that V actually has planes. Sure you can mod them into IV, but they won't be as realistic as V.

-GTA V has a feature where you can set a flag on a vehicle so you can walk around on/in it, and park vehicles on/in it. This means that you can actually park a car in a cargo plane and fly it over to the other map. You would have to be careful though. Doing barrel rolls will probably mess up the car good as centripetal force isn't programmed into the games physics.

-GTA V on PC has higher quality vehicle models. Sure they could be brought over to IV, but not without having the taxi bug show, or having the taxi bug fix which destroys performance.

-GTA V is a 64 bit game. This should make optimizing this mod easier. Should allow for more to be done as well.

 

GTA V is the perfect GTA for the HD era version of SOL.

Post the gtasol.log, or anything else that shows the complete error log.

EDIT :I'm not a star in solving SOL crashes, let's wait for X-Seti to arrive. Thinking about the bug report thread.

Sure it hasn't been used for a while, but you can post in it, as long as you've got something to add, which you have.

So, I'd say, use the GTA SOL Bug report thread. Not sure about this, so it's up to you.

I haven't got around to supporting steam, also it would help if you could tell me more about your SOL version as there are 5 download links around the web and multiple links here.

When no one exactly knows how mod friendly V will be...

It'll be more popular than IV modding. Maybe easier than IV, who knows.

I've got the same issue, CLEO is the problem. It doesnt work with SOL, at least for me it doesnt.

Seems like you use SOLCore debugger. It doesn't support hacked paths limit.

There're 2 SOLCore.dll files.

Try to rename SOLCore.dll to SOLCore_old.dll

And second file to SOLCore.dll

 

If there's no results, try this:

 

Replace these strings in sol/gta_sol.dat [or data/gta_vc.dat]

IPL SOL\paths\pathsvc.ipl
IPL SOL\paths\pathsls.ipl

Install VC again, no mods. Just paste in the SOL files only. Nothing else. Just install it on a clean VC installation.

Yes I did, but not all of them, only that ones that weren´t included in SA.
